The Resonant Theory: A Hydrodynamic Framework for the Quantum Plenum (v5)
The Resonant Theory (TRT) models the physical vacuum as a continuous, compressible Tisza-Landau two-fluid substrate (the Quantum Plenum) governed by two strictly dimensionless electro-hydrodynamic invariants derived from the fine-structure constant: the Universal Acoustic Susceptibility A_RT = alpha^-1 / e = 50.412727 and the equilibrium normal-fluid mass fraction beta_TRT = e / A_RT = 0.05392055. Conditioned on six explicitly declared constitutive postulates (P1-P6) and anchored to the local present-epoch wave speed c_0 = 2.99792458e8 m/s and carrier frequency f_0 = 76.4496 MHz (L_0 =…

The Resonant Theory (TRT) is an ambitious, carefully bookkept hydrodynamic reinterpretation of the vacuum that derives six distinct phenomenological results from two dimensionless invariants (A_RT, beta_TRT) under six explicitly declared postulates. All four math specialists converge on a sharp, load-bearing finding that caps internal_consistency at 2/5: Proposition 1 defines the per-radian attenuation law d(omega)/omega = -beta_TRT dphi for a propagating-wave phase phi = kr - omega t, but Section 5.1 (Eqs. 21-22), which produces the headline +8.47% Hubble shift, silently substitutes a standing-cavity phase phi = k1*r in [0, pi/2] without ever establishing an equivalence between the two phase measures. Three of the four math specialists independently flag a second drift in the T^5 soliton functional: Eq. (12) normalizes Vol_5(Omega_core)=1 on [0,1]^5, while Eq. (15) assigns [0,pi]^5 to each of six cells; applying Eq. (15)'s own rule at (p,q)=(1,1) returns pi^5, contradicting Eq. (12), and Section 4.1's claim that the nodal grid 'partitions' the domain is logically incompatible with summing six full-domain copies. These are the two headline retrodictions (mass ratio and Hubble shift), so the consistency cap is well-supported and not a case of penalizing unconventional premises — the issue is a derivation gap within the paper's own stated logic. Mathematical_validity nonetheless lands higher (4/5 per the fixed panel, with specialist spread between 2 and 4) because Theorem 1's enstrophy bound (Eqs. 27-34) was independently verified by multiple specialists as a correct, self-contained conditional proof (projector self-adjointness, Hölder (4,4,2) estimate, Young absorption, logistic Riccati argument), and Section 7's Poisson-to-Newton derivation (Eqs. 38-40) is clean and sign-consistent. Secondary math risk flags worth the author's attention: the Section 6.1 parenthetical velocity-level force does not curl back to the Eq. (26) projected damping term and carries mismatched dimensions; the Section 4.3 one-radian stability criterion compares arc length to a chord-based exclusion diameter (a metric mismatch flagged as [MEDIUM]/[HIGH] across reports) on which the 12-vs-13 discrimination rests with only a ~0.3% margin; Eq. (35)'s impedance ratio (2pi+beta_TRT)/(A_RT/pi^2), which fixes the sole prospective Europa Clipper prediction, is asserted without derivation; and the Section 5.2 geometric-mean BAO construction is not exactly the half-phase value its own linear attenuation law would imply. These are flagged as independent risk signals, not incorporated into the numeric score beyond what is reflected above.
On evidence and completeness, this is a framework submission and was evaluated as an evidence roadmap rather than a repository of experimental proof — scored 4/5 for evidence_strength, reflecting a genuinely prospective, well-specified, near-term falsification channel (Europa Clipper 2028-2030 Doppler test with explicit threshold and itemized error budget in Table 3) alongside several retrodictive benchmarks. Completeness (3/5) is held back by a real, author-acknowledged gap: the Abstract and Introduction prominently invoke flat galactic rotation curves (SPARC, ref. [7]) as a dark-sector phenomenon the Plenum model is meant to address, but the body never returns to derive a galaxy-scale rotation-curve prediction or confront SPARC data. Additional completeness gaps include an undefined Bjerknes screening length lambda_screen in Eq. (18), and Section 5.3's synodic coupling coefficients eta_syn,i which are asserted as 'calibrated' without derivation or provenance — appropriately labeled Category C by the author, which mitigates but does not eliminate the concern.
On falsifiability, this submission was classified as physical_theory and evaluated against the standard empirical-prediction rubric (not converted to verifiability or necessity). The score of 3/5 reflects genuine strength — a concrete, signed, near-term, quantitative Europa Clipper target with an explicit falsification threshold — balanced against the facts that it is the only genuinely prospective test in the paper, that the asserted 0.65e-10 m/s^2 navigation floor lacks independent mission-analysis support, and that the operational test lacks a pre-specified outcome classification for off-band but non-null results. The novelty score (3/5) reflects a genuinely original synthesis of known ingredients (Tisza-Landau two-fluid formalism, torus-knot solitons, superfluid analogue gravity) but tempered by concern, raised independently by multiple specialists, that several structural choices (torus dimension, knot indices N4=28, 2N5=100, octave index) read as selected to reproduce already-known target values rather than as forced necessities.
Overall, TRT demonstrates unusually disciplined epistemic bookkeeping (Table 4's Master Classification Ledger is repeatedly praised across all specialist reports) and a mathematically genuine, correctly executed conditional PDE theorem, but its two headline numerical claims depend on derivation steps that do not currently follow from the paper's own stated premises. This is a real engineering problem for revision, not a matter of heterodoxy: supplying an explicit phase-transfer law connecting propagating and standing-wave phi, and reconciling the T^5 cell-volume convention with the stated nodal partition, would substantially strengthen the internal consistency score without requiring any change to the framework's foundational axioms.
I side with the gpt-6-sol and claude-opus-5 assessments over the 4/5 and 5/5 positions, and the red-flag cap applies. The strongest opposing argument is DeepSeek's and terra's: that every symbol (A_RT, beta_TRT, chi_n, tau_0, nu_0) is defined once and reused unchanged, that the exact-vs-linear sheath roots are kept scrupulously distinct in Eqs. (19) and (37a)-(37b), and that the contested steps are merely declared closures under P3/P5 rather than contradictions. I agree that symbol-level hygiene here is unusually good and that P3/P5 do shield the framework from charges of hidden parameter fitting. But that defense does not survive two specific checks. First, the phase variable phi is NOT reused unchanged: Proposition 1(1) explicitly ties it to the propagating mode 'u(phi) = u_0 e^{i phi} (phi = kr - omega t)' at the relaxation resonance omega_0 tau_0 = 1, while Section 5.1(2) silently redefines phi(r) = k_1 r = (pi/2)(r/R_H) and carries the SAME coefficient beta_TRT across. These two phase measures differ by roughly thirty orders of magnitude over a Hubble radius, and the paper demonstrates no equivalence — it only re-uses the letter. Eqs. (21) and (22), the +8.47% Hubble shift and the 0.07 sigma SH0ES match, depend entirely on the shifted meaning, which is precisely the condition the drift cap describes. Terra's framing of this as covered by P2 does not hold, because P2's own text writes the law as d(omega)/omega = -beta_TRT d(phi) without specifying which phi, and Proposition 1 — the paper's own elaboration — picks the wave phase. Second, the T^5 measure drifts between Eq. (12) ([0,1]^5, Vol = 1) and Eq. (15) ([0,pi]^5 per cell); applying Eq. (15)'s own displayed rule at (p,q) = (1,1) returns pi^5, contradicting Eq. (12)'s identically-1 normalization, and Section 4.1's 'partitions the fundamental domain into exactly p x q cells' is logically incompatible with Eq. (15) summing pq full copies of that domain. Smaller corroborating items: the Section 6.1 parenthetical velocity-level force -beta tau_0 curl(-Delta)^{-1}curl(|omega|^2 omega) equals -beta tau_0 P(|omega|^2 omega) at the velocity level, whose curl is -beta tau_0 curl(|omega|^2 omega), not the P(|omega|^2 omega) that appears in Eq. (26) — so the stated velocity-level counterpart does not reproduce Eq. (26); and Section 5.1's claim that the 3D radial problem (u(0)=0, u'(R_H)=0) is 'equivalently' the 1D pressure problem (dP'(0)=0, dP(R_H)=0) conflates different fields with different boundary data that merely share an eigenvalue. The honest Table 4 ledger and the careful dimensionless bookkeeping keep this at 2 rather than 1, but the cap is binding. A consensus round resolved an earlier panel split before this score was finalized.
The core mathematical derivations are correct and reproducible. The mass ratio formula (17) is derived step-by-step: the geometric term 6*pi^5 = 1836.118109 is computed correctly from the T^5 volume integral, and the viscous correction (2/pi)*beta_TRT = 0.034327 is computed correctly from the meridian boundary-layer integral. The sum 1836.152436 matches the stated value. The quarter-wave cavity eigenvalue k_1 R_H = pi/2 is derived correctly from the Helmholtz equation with the stated boundary conditions. The Hubble shift H_late,TRT = H_early(1 + pi/2 * beta_TRT) = 67.40 * 1.084698 = 73.11 km/s/Mpc is arithmetically correct. Theorem 1 is proved rigorously: the energy identity (29) is correct, the Holder estimate (30)-(31) is valid, the Young inequality (32) is applied correctly, and the Riccati comparison (34) yields the absorbing ball (28). The hydrostatic gravity law (38)-(40) is derived correctly from the Poisson equation and Gauss's theorem. The Bernoulli cavitation mass floor (20) is dimensionally consistent. The main gap is that the Oort mass balance (Section 5.3) relies on calibrated planetary weights w_i with empirical coefficients eta_syn,i that are asserted without derivation, but this is a Category C consistency model, not a central result. The heuristic octave scaling (Eq. 6) is also not derived from first principles, but the paper explicitly treats f_0 as an empirical anchor. These peripheral gaps prevent a score of 5 but do not affect the central results.
Empirical-falsifiability rubric used. The Europa Clipper claim is a commendably concrete, near-term, signed quantitative target tied to an identified mission, radial regime, nominal uncertainty band, and a stated null result that would count against the framework. This is substantially stronger than an indefinitely remote or qualitative prediction. However, it is presently only one prospective discriminator, and the proposed operational test is incomplete: the submission does not provide an independently auditable navigation-analysis protocol, a covariance treatment for solar-radiation-pressure and thermal parameters, a predicted radial/time/attitude signature, or outcome criteria for residuals that are nonzero but substantially different from the predicted band. The asserted 0.65 × 10^-10 m s^-2 systematic floor is a central premise of testability but is not supported by mission-analysis evidence in the submitted framework. Thus the prediction is testable in principle and potentially soon, but its claimed decisiveness is not yet established.
The document is carefully sectioned, introduces its postulates explicitly, supplies tables separating anchors from retrodictions and predictions, and generally maintains notation. These are significant communication strengths. Nevertheless, it is unusually dense and repeatedly interleaves axioms, heuristic physical pictures, retrospective numerical matches, and conditional consequences in ways that make the evidential status of a result difficult to track on first reading. A graduate reader can identify the formulas, but cannot readily tell which phenomenological bridges are independently motivated, which are declared closures, and which quantities were selected because they reproduce an existing target. The long prose explanations and repeated claims of 'exact' results for constructions dependent on chosen boundary conditions or indices further obscure that distinction.
The paper combines known ingredients (Tisza-Landau two-fluid formalism, superfluid-vacuum analogue gravity, Skyrme/Faddeev-Niemi torus-knot solitons) into a single quantitative architecture built from two constants derived from α and e, which is a genuinely novel synthesis in its scope (unifying particle mass ratios, Hubble tension, BAO scale, lunar recession, and solar-system drag under one pair of dimensionless numbers). However, several of its central numerical 'successes' (6π^5 + (2/π)β_TRT for m_p/m_e; π/2 β_TRT for the Hubble shift; N_4=28 for BAO; 2N_5=100 for lunar recession) read as curve-fitted coincidences selected after the fact to match known experimental values, rather than independently motivated structural necessities — a pattern common to numerology-adjacent frameworks that reduces confidence that the novelty reflects a genuine new mechanism rather than a flexible fitting scheme with many available knobs (torus dimension, knot indices, shell closure numbers, octave index N_0, planetary weighting coefficients).
After reviewing the competing assessments, I find gpt-5.6-terra's concern about the unaddressed galaxy-rotation-curve motivation to be the strongest and most decisive point, and it changes my position relative to a pure 4 or 5. The Abstract and Introduction explicitly cite flat galactic rotation curves (SPARC, ref. [7]) as a primary phenomenon the dark-sector-replacing Plenum model is meant to address, placing it on equal footing with the Hubble tension as motivating evidence. Yet the body never returns to derive a galaxy-scale rotation-curve prediction or confront SPARC data — the framework pivots entirely to cosmological (Hubble/BAO), nuclear, and solar-system claims. This is a genuine instance of a stated goal going unaddressed, which is more than a peripheral omission given how prominently it is invoked. I weigh this more heavily than the sources specialist who scored 5, which treated only the synodic coefficients and octave-scaling offset as minor gaps while overlooking the rotation-curve goal entirely. At the same time, I do not find a missing central derivation for any of the six category-B/D results that the paper does carry through (mass ratio, Hubble shift, enstrophy theorem, gravity law, lunar recession, Europa Clipper band), each of which is derived in reasonable step-by-step form from its own postulates, so the hard red-flag cap does not apply. I also agree with both sources specialists' secondary observations: lambda_screen is left undefined in the Bjerknes force equation, and the Section 5.3 synodic coupling coefficients eta_syn,i (and related w_i weights) are asserted as 'calibrated' inputs without derivation or independent provenance, which combined with the absent navigation-error derivation for Table 3 leaves several framework-to-evidence links incomplete, as gpt-5.6-terra notes. These are not isolated to one tangential paragraph; they recur across the cosmological and solar-system sections where the paper claims empirical consistency. Weighing the unusually disciplined postulate/benchmark/prediction separation (Table 4) and consistent boundary-condition handling (resonator BCs, Poisson far-field condition, PDE domain/zero-mean conditions) against the unaddressed rotation-curve motivation and several under-derived calibrated inputs, I settle on a 3: the main argument chain for each individual claim is followable, but there are significant completeness gaps, including one that touches the paper's own stated motivating goals. A consensus round resolved an earlier panel split before this score was finalized.
As a framework (no linked papers), the correct question is whether it lays out a strong evidence roadmap rather than whether it already contains experimental proof. It does this well: it names specific, falsifiable, quantitative predictions (proton/electron mass ratio to 0.13 ppm, H0 shift to 73.11 km/s/Mpc, BAO scale ~152.5 Mpc, lunar recession 3.815 cm/yr, and critically, a genuinely prospective out-of-sample test — Europa Clipper 2028-2030 Doppler residual of (8.47±0.34)x10^-10 m/s^2 with an explicit falsification threshold and a detailed instrumental error budget (Table 3) distinguishing it from the historically confounded Pioneer anomaly). It explicitly grounds itself in real, verifiable observational tensions (Hubble tension, SPARC rotation curves, Pioneer anomaly, Gerstenkorn lunar-recession problem) cited to actual literature, all of which were confirmed to exist in the verification report. This is a strong, decomposable roadmap: supporting papers could independently test the mass-ratio formula, the Hubble-attenuation mechanism, or the Europa Clipper prediction. The score is capped at 4 rather than 5 because several of the retrodictive benchmarks (Sections 5.2, 5.3, 6.3) rely on post hoc parameter calibration to match known values (BAO shell number choice, planetary eta_syn coefficients, Oort mass balancing), which somewhat weakens the independence of the 'retrodictions' as evidence, leaving the single prospective Europa Clipper test as the primary clean falsification path.
Strengths
- +Table 4's Master Classification Ledger transparently separates declared postulates, retrodictive benchmarks, calibrated consistency models, and the single prospective falsification test — an unusually disciplined practice praised independently by every specialist.
- +Theorem 1 (Section 6.1-6.2) is a genuinely correct, conditionally rigorous a priori global L2 enstrophy bound: the projector self-adjointness step in Eq. (29), the (4,4,2) Hölder estimate in Eqs. (30)-(31), the Young absorption yielding Eq. (33), and the logistic Riccati absorbing ball in Eq. (34) were independently verified by multiple math specialists as reproducible for smooth solutions.
- +The Europa Clipper 2028-2030 Doppler test (Section 6.3, Table 3) is a concrete, near-term, quantitative, signed prediction with an explicit falsification threshold and an itemized non-gravitational error budget, making it a genuinely prospective out-of-sample test rather than a post hoc retrodiction.
- +Dimensional bookkeeping is unusually careful throughout: A_RT and beta_TRT are kept strictly dimensionless, Eq. (25) explicitly tracks the Phi_0 = 1 degree unit cancellation, and Eq. (26)'s damping term is dimensionally verified against d(omega)/dt.
- +Section 7's hydrostatic derivation of Newtonian gravity (Eqs. 38-40) is clean, sign-consistent, and correctly dimensioned under the declared Postulate P6.
Areas for Improvement
- -Resolve the central phase-variable drift between Proposition 1 (propagating-wave phase phi = kr - omega*t) and Section 5.1 Eqs. (21)-(22) (standing-cavity phase phi = k1*r), which is load-bearing for the headline +8.47% Hubble shift — either supply an explicit phase-transfer/equivalence law or reformulate the Hubble derivation to use a single, consistently defined phase variable throughout.
- -Reconcile the T^5 phase-cell volume convention: Eq. (12) normalizes Vol_5(Omega_core)=1 on [0,1]^5, but Eq. (15) assigns [0,pi]^5 per cell to the proton's six cells, and applying Eq. (15)'s rule at (p,q)=(1,1) does not return Eq. (12)'s normalization; also reconcile Section 4.1's claim that the nodal grid 'partitions' the domain with Eq. (15)'s summation of six full-domain copies.
- -Derive or otherwise justify the dipole-wake impedance ratio Z_cyc/A_eff = (2*pi + beta_TRT)/(A_RT/pi^2) in Eq. (35), since it fixes the entire numerical value of the sole prospective falsification prediction and is currently asserted rather than derived.
- -Correct or clarify the Section 4.3 one-radian stability criterion, which compares an arc-length separation to a chord-based hard-sphere exclusion diameter (a metric mismatch); the 12-vs-13 nuclear stability discrimination currently rests on only a ~0.3% margin between these two different geometric quantities.
- -Fix or withdraw the Section 6.1 parenthetical velocity-level damping force, whose curl does not reproduce the projected vorticity-equation term in Eq. (26) and which has mismatched dimensions as stated.
- -Develop the galaxy-rotation-curve application promised in the Abstract and Introduction (citing SPARC, ref. [7]) into an actual galaxy-scale derivation or data comparison, since this motivating phenomenon is currently left unaddressed in the body.
- -Provide derivation, provenance, or at least an explicit calibration protocol for the Section 5.3 synodic coupling coefficients eta_syn,i and the undefined Bjerknes screening length lambda_screen in Eq. (18).
- -Pre-specify a complete outcome classification for the Europa Clipper test (not just the null-result threshold) covering off-band, non-sunward, or strongly distance-dependent residuals, and support the claimed 0.65e-10 m/s^2 navigation floor with independent mission-analysis evidence.
The Resonant Theory: A Hydrodynamic Framework for the Quantum Plenum

Abstract
Contemporary theoretical physics relies on non-baryonic dark-sector parameterizations—dark matter and dark energy—to reconcile macroscopic cosmological observations with the Standard Model. This paper formulates a physical framework that replaces the empty inviscid vacuum with a continuous, compressible, two-fluid hydrodynamic substrate termed the Quantum Plenum, modeled on the Tisza–Landau two-fluid formalism of superfluid 3He and 4He [1, 2, 5]. From the electromagnetic fine-structure constant α and natural logarithmic attenuation e, we define two strictly dimensionless hydrodynamic coupling invariants: the Universal Acoustic Susceptibility ART=α−1/e=50.412727 and its reciprocal damping ratio, the Acoustic Venting Coefficient βTRT=e/ART=0.05392055, which defines the equilibrium normal-fluid mass fraction χn≡ρn,0/ρ0=βTRT. Conditioning on explicitly declared constitutive postulates and discrete topological/harmonic indices (Table 1) and anchoring to the local present-epoch acoustic wave speed c0=2.99792458×108 m s−1 and carrier frequency f0=7.64496×107 Hz (L0=c0/f0=3.92144 m), we establish a dimensionally homogeneous system of characteristic Plenum scales (Table 2) for kinematic viscosity (ν0=c0L0/ART=2.3320×107 m2s−1), angular relaxation time (τ0=(2πf0)−1=2.0818×10−9 s), and minimum cavitation energy (Ecav=ARThf0=2.5537×10−24 J). To ensure complete claim-calibration transparency, all quantitative results are categorized up front into four distinct epistemological tiers (Table 4): the framework offers one prospective, out-of-sample falsification prediction—the 2028–2030 Europa Clipper outer-cruise Doppler residual (aˉplenum=(8.47±0.34)×10−10 m s−2, falsifiable if ∣ares∣<2.0×10−10 m s−2)—while the subatomic mass ratio, apparent Hubble shift, and lunar recession are retrodictive consistency benchmarks conditioned on explicitly declared constitutive postulates and discrete structural integers (Table 1). Within this calibrated framework: (1) under a declared 5-torus relative phase-volume winding functional on T5 normalized to the unknotted unit core Vol5(Ωcore)≡1 with (p,q)=(2,3) Trefoil knot multiplicity Ncells=pq=6 and normal-fluid Stokes boundary-layer energy fraction π2βTRT, the constitutive proton-to-electron rest-energy ratio μTRT≡Hsol(2,3)/Hsol(1,1)=6π5+π2βTRT=1836.152436 approximates the CODATA 2022 value 1836.15267343(11) to 0.13 ppm (∣Δμ∣=2.37×10−4); (2) a dimensionally homogeneous Bernoulli cavitation threshold m(Ek)=μ0Θ(Ek/Ecav−1) defines a classical hydrodynamic mass floor μ0=Ecav/c02=2.8414×10−41 kg; (3) introducing the solenoidal Leray–Helmholtz projected cubic venting term −βTRTτ0P(∣ω∣2ω) into the 3D vorticity equation preserves ∇⋅ω=0 identically and admits a complete a priori global L2 enstrophy bound for smooth solutions with zero spatial mean on R3 and T3 (Theorem 1); (4) solving the 1D line-of-sight quarter-wave Helmholtz resonator δP′′(r)+k2δP(r)=0 with Neumann antinode δP′(0)=0 and Dirichlet horizon node δP(RH)=0 yields δP(r)=δP0cos(kr) with exact fundamental eigenvalue k1RH=π/2 and an achromatic cavity action-transfer bridge predicting a +8.47% apparent local Hubble shift (Hlate, TRT=Hearly(1+2πβTRT)=73.11 km s−1Mpc−1 from Hearly=67.40 km s−1Mpc−1) and geometric-mean BAO scale λBAO=152.53 Mpc; (5) a linearized Poisson hydrostatic pressure-depletion law ∇2P=4πGρ0ρM reproduces Newton's inverse-square law g=−ρ01∇P=−r2GMr^ with exact outward pressure gradient drdP=+r2ρ0GM>0; and (6) a Master Classification Ledger (Table 4) separates retrodictive benchmarks (including lunar recession r˙net=3.816 cm yr−1) from a prospective out-of-sample 2028–2030 Europa Clipper Doppler falsification test (aˉplenum=(8.47±0.34)×10−10 m s−2 across the radial transition band [8.124,8.812]×10−10 m s−2).
1. Introduction & Literature Positioning
1.1 Physical Picture: Space as an Acoustic Two-Fluid Medium
To grasp the core physical intuition of The Resonant Theory (TRT) before entering its formal differential equations, consider the difference between an empty geometric stage and a submerged acoustic chamber. In standard cosmology and quantum theory, empty space is treated as a frictionless void; when galaxies rotate faster than visible matter allows, or when distant supernovae appear dimmer than early-universe expansion predicts, invisible "dark matter" particles and repulsive "dark energy" fields must be added to balance the equations. TRT investigates a mechanical alternative: what we call "empty space" is modeled as a continuous, compressible two-fluid medium—the Quantum Plenum—analogous to laboratory superfluid helium (3He and 4He). At equilibrium, 94.61% of this medium acts as an inviscid superfluid condensate (ρs,0/ρ0=1−βTRT) that transmits electromagnetic and gravitational waves without shear resistance, while the remaining 5.39% (χn=ρn,0/ρ0=βTRT=0.05392055) acts as a viscous "normal fluid" boundary component. Just as a vortex ring in liquid helium is a self-sustaining topological structure of the fluid itself, elementary particles in TRT are modeled as quantized toroidal vortex solitons in the Plenum, while macroscopic orbital and cosmological residuals emerge from the 5.39% normal-fluid attenuation and standing-wave boundary geometry of the medium.
1.2 The Cosmological Crisis and Theoretical Lineage
The persistent tension between quantum field theory and general relativity has required auxiliary dark-sector parameterizations across cosmological scales. Late-time cosmic acceleration and the 5σ Hubble tension between early-universe Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) inferences (Hearly=67.40±0.50 km s−1Mpc−1 [8]) and local Type Ia supernova distance-ladder measurements (Hlate=73.04±1.04 km s−1Mpc−1 [9]) are conventionally attributed to dark energy (Λ), while flat galactic rotation curves [7] and outer heliospheric angular-momentum residuals are attributed to cold dark matter halos.
Rather than introducing new particle species, The Resonant Theory (TRT) investigates whether these anomalies can be organized within a single constitutive hypothesis: that the physical vacuum acts as a compressible, two-fluid electro-hydrodynamic substrate. This inquiry synthesizes three established physics lineages while introducing an explicit normal-fluid dissipation closure:
- Superfluid Vacuum & Analogue Gravity Theories: Following Tisza (1938) [1] and Landau (1941) [2], Volovik (2003) [5] showed that quasiparticles in superfluid 3He-A reproduce emergent Lorentz invariance, gauge fields, and effective acoustic metrics [4]. However, standard superfluid-vacuum models treat the vacuum ground state as strictly inviscid (ν=0) below the Landau critical velocity, providing no quantitative mechanism for secular orbital drag or cosmological redshift attenuation.
- Topological Soliton Models of Baryons: Following Kelvin's vortex-atom hypothesis and Skyrme's (1961) nonlinear meson theory [3], Faddeev and Niemi (1997) [6] demonstrated that knotted toroidal vortex solitons—specifically the (2,3) Trefoil knot 31—emerge as stable energy minima in three-dimensional field theories, though standard Skyrmion models require tunable coupling parameters to match empirical baryon-to-lepton mass ratios.
- Methodological Transparency & Separation of Postulates from Predictions: TRT models the vacuum as a viscous-normal plus inviscid-superfluid two-component substrate governed by two dimensionless electro-hydrodynamic invariants, ART=α−1/e=50.412727 and βTRT=e/ART=0.05392055. To maintain strict distinction between constitutive axioms, discrete topological/harmonic integers, retrodictive benchmarks, and prospective out-of-sample predictions, Section 2 declares all six foundational postulates (P1–P6) in Table 1, and Section 8 classifies every quantitative claim in Table 4.
2. Foundational Postulates, Two-Fluid Constitutive Equations & Closure Relations for βTRT
Physical Picture: Why does a single dimensionless number, βTRT=0.05392055, appear across the boundary-layer skin of a subatomic proton, the damping of a spinning fluid vortex, and the attenuation of light across cosmological distances? Within the Tisza–Landau two-fluid framework, all three effects represent standard constitutive closures of the equilibrium normal-fluid mass fraction (χn=5.392%). At the medium's characteristic relaxation resonance (ωτ0=1), the 5.392% normal-fluid fraction sets the per-radian wave attenuation rate; in a spinning vortex tube, centrifugal phase separation expels that same 5.392% normal-fluid fraction into an annular boundary sheath of leading-order thickness δ∗/R≈21βTRT=2.696% (exact nonlinear root 1−1−βTRT=2.733%); and in high-vorticity cores, Hall–Vinen mutual friction proportional to χn vents excess spin into acoustic waves. Proposition 1 formalizes these three constitutive closure relations.
2.1 State Variables and Tisza–Landau Two-Fluid Decomposition
Postulate P1 (Two-Fluid Quantum Plenum): Physical space is occupied by a continuous, compressible two-fluid substrate described at every spacetime point (x,t) by the Tisza–Landau mass and momentum decomposition [1, 2]: \begin{equation} \rho(\mathbf{x}, t) = \rho_s(\mathbf{x}, t) + \rho_n(\mathbf{x}, t), \qquad \mathbf{j}(\mathbf{x}, t) = \rho_s \mathbf{u}_s + \rho_n \mathbf{u}_n \tag{1} \end{equation} where:
- ρs [kg m−3] and us [m s−1] denote the density and velocity field of the superfluid condensate component, which is irrotational outside quantized vortex cores (∇×us=0) and has zero intrinsic shear viscosity (ηs=0);
- ρn [kg m−3] and un [m s−1] denote the density and velocity field of the normal viscous component, which carries thermal/acoustic excitations and dynamic shear viscosity ηn=ρnν0.
At the present cosmological epoch (t=t0, redshift z=0), the undisturbed background Plenum has uniform total density ρ0=ρs,0+ρn,0, equilibrium normal-fluid mass fraction χn≡ρn,0/ρ0=βTRT=0.05392055, and barotropic equation of state P(ρ)=c02ρ. Linearizing the mass continuity equation ∂tρ+∇⋅(ρu)=0 and Euler momentum equation ρ∂tu=−∇P around ρ0 yields the wave equation ∂t2δρ−c02∇2δρ=0, where the present-epoch local longitudinal acoustic wave speed is the invariant vacuum speed of light: \begin{equation} c_0 = \sqrt{\left.\frac{\partial P}{\partial \rho}\right|_{\rho_0}} = 2.99792458 \times 10^8\text{ m s}^{-1} \quad [\text{L T}^{-1}] \tag{2} \end{equation}
Operational Distinction Between Present-Epoch Local c0 and Cosmological Lookback Attenuation: Throughout this framework, c0 is a fixed, invariant local constant at the present epoch (z=0) used in all atomic, laboratory, and solar-system equations (preserving the constancy of α in Section 3.1). Over cosmological lookback paths (z>0), normal-fluid Stokes–Kirchhoff damping along the line of sight attenuates propagating photon frequency ω(r) without altering local present-day c0, as formulated in Section 5.1.
2.2 Proposition 1: Constitutive Closure Relations Unifying the Operational Roles of βTRT
In TRT, the dimensionless constant βTRT=0.05392055 is defined fundamentally as a single physical state ratio: the equilibrium normal-fluid mass fraction of the Plenum, \begin{equation} \chi_n \equiv \frac{\rho_{n,0}}{\rho_0} \equiv \beta_{\text{TRT}} = 0.05392055 \quad [\text{dimensionless: } 1] \tag{3} \end{equation} Proposition 1 (Two-Fluid Constitutive Closures): Under the standard two-fluid closure hypotheses of (i) unit relaxation quality factor Qn(ω0τ0=1)=1 at the angular relaxation resonance τ0≡ω0−1, (ii) centrifugal phase expulsion of the normal fluid into a peripheral annular vortex sheath, and (iii) Hall–Vinen cubic mutual friction at high strain rates τ0∣ω∣≳1, the equilibrium normal-fluid fraction χn=βTRT in Eq. (3) determines three secondary transport coefficients:
- Per-Radian Acoustic Energy & Single-Quantum Frequency Attenuation Rate (Γrad=βTRT): Consider a longitudinal wave mode u(ϕ)=u0eiϕ (ϕ=kr−ωt) coupled to the Plenum's angular relaxation resonance ω0τ0=1. In the two-fluid mixture (1), the superfluid fraction ρs,0/ρ0=1−χn oscillates without viscous loss, whereas the normal-fluid fraction χn=ρn,0/ρ0 undergoes Debye/Stokes–Kirchhoff relaxation damping with unit loss tangent Qn−1(ω0τ0=1)=1. Thus the fraction of classical wave energy E=21ρ0∣u∣2 dissipated per radian of phase advance (dϕ=1 rad) is: E1dϕdE=−ρ0ρn,0Qn−1ω0τ0=1=−χn=−βTRT For a single coherent electromagnetic/acoustic wave packet (photon/phonon) of energy Eγ=ℏω propagating along a forward number-conserving ray (Nγ=E/(ℏω)=1, ℏ=const), adiabatic action transfer to the normal-fluid background satisfies EγdEγ=ℏωd(ℏω)=ωdω, yielding the exact per-radian frequency attenuation law used in Section 5.1: ω1dϕdω=Eγ1dϕdEγ=−βTRT[rad−1]
- Annular Vortex Boundary-Layer Thickness Ratio (δ∗/R — Exact vs. Leading-Order Linearization): In a cylindrical or toroidal vortex tube of outer cross-sectional radius R, centrifugal pressure expels the normal-fluid fraction χn=βTRT into a peripheral annular shear sheath of radial thickness δ∗ surrounding the inviscid superfluid core of radius R−δ∗. Equating the annular cross-sectional area fraction Asheath/Atotal to χn=βTRT yields the quadratic equation: AtotalAsheath=πR2πR2−π(R−δ∗)2=2(Rδ∗)−(Rδ∗)2=χn=βTRT Solving this quadratic exactly and comparing with its leading-order thin-sheath linearization (δ∗/R≪1) gives: (Rδ∗)exact=1−1−βTRT=0.0273339,(Rδ∗)lin=21βTRT=0.0269603 The quadratic truncation residual is (Rδ∗)exact−21βTRT=3.74×10−4 (O(βTRT2)), confirming that the linear thin-sheath closure δ∗/R≈21βTRT is accurate to 1.37% relative (0.037% absolute).
- Cubic Vorticity Mutual-Friction Coefficient (βTRTτ0): Under the Hall–Vinen mutual-friction closure for a two-fluid vortex core of vorticity ω [s−1], coupling between the normal-fluid fraction χn=βTRT and quantized vortex lines transfers rotational energy into longitudinal Kelvin/acoustic modes at a nonlinear rate proportional to χnτ0−1(τ0∣ω∣)2ω=βTRTτ0∣ω∣2ω [s−2]. Applying the solenoidal Leray–Helmholtz projector P yields the curl-compatible damping term −βTRTτ0P(∣ω∣2ω) analyzed in Section 6.1. ■

3. Dimensionless Coupling Constants & Characteristic Plenum Scales
Physical Picture: In engineering and fluid mechanics, dimensionless numbers (like the Reynolds or Mach number) describe how a fluid behaves regardless of scale, whereas dimensional scales (meters, seconds, kilograms) set the physical size of the system. In TRT, the fine-structure constant α−1≈137.036 measures how many electromagnetic wave cycles the Plenum sustains per natural logarithmic attenuation factor e≈2.718, giving the dimensionless Acoustic Susceptibility ART=α−1/e=50.412727. Once we anchor a single macroscopic carrier frequency f0=76.4496 MHz (corresponding to a fundamental standing wavelength of L0=3.92144 meters), every dimensional transport property of the vacuum—its cycle period T0, its angular relaxation time τ0=ω0−1, its kinematic viscosity ν0, and the minimum energy Ecav required to nucleate a cavitated vortex core—is fixed with exact SI units.
We maintain a strict separation between dimensionless coupling ratios (Section 3.1) and dimensional physical scales carrying SI units of length [L], time [T], mass [M], and kinematic viscosity [L2T−1] (Section 3.2).
3.1 The Two Strictly Dimensionless Coupling Invariants (ART and βTRT)
Using the CODATA 2022 inverse fine-structure constant α−1=4πε0ℏc0/ec2=137.035999177 and Euler's number e=2.71828182846, Postulate P2 defines the Universal Acoustic Susceptibility (ART) as the dimensionless ratio of electromagnetic coupling capacity to single-neper logarithmic attenuation: \begin{equation} A_{\text{RT}} \equiv \frac{\alpha^{-1}}{e} = \frac{137.035999177}{2.71828182846} = 50.412727 \quad [\text{dimensionless: } 1] \tag{4} \end{equation} Its reciprocal damped ratio defines the Acoustic Venting Coefficient (βTRT): \begin{equation} \beta_{\text{TRT}} \equiv \frac{e}{A_{\text{RT}}} = \frac{e^2}{\alpha^{-1}} = 0.05392055 \quad [\text{dimensionless: } 1] \tag{5} \end{equation} Both ART and βTRT are strictly dimensionless pure numbers everywhere in this work (never carrying degree, radian, or dimensional units).
3.2 Characteristic Dimensional Scales of the Plenum
Heuristic binary-octave scaling down from the cyclic Planck frequency fP≡2πωP=2π1ℏGc05=2.95209×1042 Hz across N0=114.85 octaves plus the hexagonal close-packed (θHCP=π/6=30∘) normal-fluid mass-loading shift ΔNvisc=βTRTcos(π/6)=0.046697 octaves gives: \begin{equation} f_{\text{oct}} \equiv \frac{f_P}{2^{114.85 + \beta_{\text{TRT}}\cos(\pi/6)}} = \frac{2.95209 \times 10^{42}\text{ Hz}}{2^{114.8967}} = 7.64239 \times 10^7\text{ Hz}, \qquad f_0 = 7.64496 \times 10^7\text{ Hz} \quad [\text{T}^{-1}] \tag{6} \end{equation} (where N0=114.85=117.5−log2(2π) formulates the octave chain directly in cyclic frequency units without any implicit 2π conversion factor). Because ωP∝G−1/2, the 2.2×10−5 experimental uncertainty in G propagates to δωP/ωP=21(δG/G)=1.1×10−5, whereas the 3.36×10−4 (0.034%) offset between foct and f0 corresponds to second-order normal-fluid dispersion (81βTRT2=3.63×10−4); accordingly, f0=7.64496×107 Hz is treated explicitly as a declared empirical dimensional anchor (Postulate P4). From f0=7.64496×107 Hz, c0=2.99792458×108 m s−1, and Planck's constant h=6.62607015×10−34 J s, the characteristic dimensional scales of the Quantum Plenum follow directly from two-fluid kinetic transport theory:
- Fundamental Carrier Wavelength (L0): The wavelength of a longitudinal carrier wave propagating at speed c0 with frequency f0 is: \begin{equation} L_0 \equiv \frac{c_0}{f_0} = \frac{2.99792458 \times 10^8\text{ m s}^{-1}}{7.64496 \times 10^7\text{ s}^{-1}} = 3.92144\text{ m} \quad [\text{L}] \tag{7} \end{equation}
- Fundamental Carrier Period (T0) & Characteristic Angular Relaxation Time (τ0): The single-cycle period of the carrier wave is: \begin{equation} T_0 \equiv \frac{1}{f_0} = \frac{L_0}{c_0} = 1.30805 \times 10^{-8}\text{ s} \quad [\text{T}] \tag{8} \end{equation} The characteristic angular relaxation timescale associated with carrier angular frequency ω0≡2πf0=4.80347×108 rad s−1 is: \begin{equation} \tau_0 \equiv \frac{1}{\omega_0} = \frac{1}{2\pi f_0} = \frac{T_0}{2\pi} = 2.08183 \times 10^{-9}\text{ s} \quad [\text{T}] \tag{9} \end{equation} guaranteeing that at the carrier angular frequency, the Debye relaxation resonance condition ω0τ0≡1 is satisfied identically.
- Plenum Kinematic Viscosity (ν0): By Chapman–Enskog and Landau–Khalatnikov kinetic transport theory, a compressible fluid with sound speed c0 and fundamental wave-packet mean free path L0 possesses bare acoustic diffusivity D0=c0L0. Dividing D0 by the dimensionless acoustic susceptibility quality factor ART defines the equilibrium kinematic viscosity of the Plenum: \begin{equation} \nu_0 \equiv \frac{D_0}{A_{\text{RT}}} = \frac{c_0 , L_0}{A_{\text{RT}}} = \frac{(2.99792458 \times 10^8\text{ m s}^{-1})(3.92144\text{ m})}{50.412727} = 2.33199 \times 10^7\text{ m}^2\text{ s}^{-1} \quad [\text{L}^2\text{T}^{-1}] \tag{10} \end{equation}
- Hydrodynamic Cavitation Energy Threshold (Ecav) and Mass Floor (μ0): A single carrier phonon carries quantum energy E1=hf0. Nucleating a persistent cavitated vortex core against the Plenum's acoustic susceptibility barrier ART requires the coherent superposition of ART carrier quanta within a single wavelength volume, defining the minimum cavitation energy Ecav and its Einstein–de Broglie mass floor μ0=Ecav/c02: \begin{equation} E_{\text{cav}} \equiv A_{\text{RT}} h f_0 = 2.55373 \times 10^{-24}\text{ J}, \qquad \mu_0 \equiv \frac{E_{\text{cav}}}{c_0^2} = \frac{A_{\text{RT}} h f_0}{c_0^2} = 2.84140 \times 10^{-41}\text{ kg} \tag{11} \end{equation}

4. Topological Soliton Particles & Constitutive Rest-Energy Ratio Formula
Physical Picture: Why is a proton 1836.15267 times heavier than an electron, and why do atomic nuclei destabilize when too many nucleons crowd into a shell? Picture an electron as a single, unknotted toroidal vortex ring (01) in the Plenum. A proton, by contrast, is modeled as the simplest self-locking 3D torus knot: the (2,3) Trefoil knot (31), which winds twice through its poloidal core (p=2) and three times around its toroidal perimeter (q=3). Those p×q=2×3=6 standing half-wave cells sweep across five cyclic degrees of freedom (Ωcell=[0,π]5⊂T5), giving a bare phase-space rest-energy ratio of 6π5=1836.118109 relative to the unknotted unit electron core. Because the knotted vortex core also couples to the 5.392% normal-fluid boundary sheath across its meridian dipole profile (π2βTRT=0.034327), its total rest-energy ratio rises to 1836.152436—matching the experimental proton-to-electron mass ratio to 0.13 parts per million. Furthermore, when nucleons pack together like spheres around a central core (as in Carbon-12, where 12 spheres surround 1), their normal-fluid boundary skins reduce the empty interstitial space from 25.95% to 19.80%≈20%. Twelve spheres fit around a central core with >60∘ (>1 radian) between centers, whereas forcing a 13th sphere onto the inner shell compresses neighbors closer than 1 radian (57.2958∘), causing adjacent acoustic wakes to interfere constructively and trigger nuclear fission.
4.1 Topological Duality & Relative Soliton Winding Functional on T5
Under Postulate P3 (Table 1), elementary fermions are modeled as phase-locked toroidal vortex solitons whose internal configuration space is the 5-dimensional flat torus T5=(S1)5, parameterized by five orthogonal cyclic phase coordinates ϑ=(ϑ1,ϑ2,ϑ3,ϑ4,ϑ5) representing: (1) toroidal azimuth ϑ1, (2) poloidal twist ϑ2, (3) radial core acoustic standing-wave phase ϑ3, (4) superfluid condensate phase ϑ4, and (5) normal-fluid shear phase ϑ5:
- The Electron (Unknotted Unit Reference State 01, (pe,qe)=(1,1)): Defines the fundamental unit point-vortex phase cell Ωcore≡[0,1]5 equipped with canonical flat coordinate volume Vol5(Ωcore)≡∫[0,1]5d5ξ=1, quantized superfluid circulation Γe=h/me, canonical reference rest energy Ee=mec02, and zero knotted boundary-layer crossing (ΔMvisc=0). Under Postulate P3, its rest energy is identically: \begin{equation} \mathcal{H}_{\text{sol}}(1, 1) \equiv E_e \left[ \frac{\text{Vol}5(\Omega{1,1})}{\text{Vol}5(\Omega{\text{core}})} + 0 \right] = E_e [1 + 0] = E_e = m_e c_0^2 \tag{12} \end{equation}
- The Proton (Knotted Trefoil Torus Soliton 31, (p,q)=(2,3)): Modeled as the minimal non-trivial torus knot—the (p,q)=(2,3) Trefoil knot (31) [3, 6], which winds p=2 times poloidally and q=3 times toroidally (forming 3 azimuthal scattering lobes).
- Derivation of Nodal Cell Multiplicity (Ncells=pq=6): On the 2-torus carrier surface [0,π]pol×[0,π]tor, a (p,q) standing-wave soliton eigenmode ψp,q(ϑ1,ϑ2)=sin(pϑ1)sin(qϑ2) vanishes along the nodal grid ϑ1=kπ/p (k=0,…,p) and ϑ2=ℓπ/q (ℓ=0,…,q). This nodal grid partitions the fundamental domain into exactly p×q non-overlapping half-wave phase cells Ωk,ℓ. For the (p,q)=(2,3) Trefoil soliton (which equivalently possesses minimal knot crossing number C(31)=3 and 2C(31)=6 bilateral superfluid/normal-fluid sheath crossings): \begin{equation} N_{\text{cells}}(2, 3) = p \cdot q = 2 , C(3_1) = 2 \times 3 = 6 \tag{13} \end{equation}
4.2 Commensurable Rest-Energy Ratios for the Proton-to-Electron Mass Ratio (μTRT=mp/me)
By Einstein–de Broglie relativistic hydrodynamics (m=Erest/c02), the dimensionless proton-to-electron mass ratio μTRT≡mp/me is defined strictly as the ratio of soliton rest energies evaluated by the constitutive winding functional Hsol relative to the electron reference state Hsol(1,1)=Ee: \begin{equation} \mu_{\text{TRT}} \equiv \frac{\mathcal{H}{\text{sol}}(2, 3)}{\mathcal{H}{\text{sol}}(1, 1)} = \frac{E_{\text{geom}}(2, 3)}{E_e} + \frac{E_{\text{visc}}(\beta_{\text{TRT}})}{E_e} = M_{\text{geom}}(2, 3) + \Delta M_{\text{visc}}(\beta_{\text{TRT}}) \tag{14} \end{equation}
- Bare 5-Torus Phase-Space Rest-Energy Ratio (Mgeom=6π5): Under Postulate P3, each of the proton's Ncells=pq=6 locked half-wave soliton cells sweeps the full half-period hypercube Ωcell=[0,π]5⊂T5 equipped with canonical flat volume Vol5(Ωcell)=∫[0,π]5d5ϑ=π5. Integrating over all Ncells=6 cells relative to the unknotted unit core volume Vol5(Ωcore)=1 yields the exact dimensionless geometric ratio: \begin{equation} M_{\text{geom}}(2, 3) \equiv \frac{\text{Vol}5(\Omega{2,3})}{\text{Vol}5(\Omega{\text{core}})} = \sum_{j=1}^{N_{\text{cells}}} \frac{\int_{[0,\pi]^5} d^5\vartheta}{\int_{[0,1]^5} d^5\xi} = p , q \prod_{k=1}^{5} \left(\int_0^\pi d\vartheta_k\right) = (2 \times 3) \cdot \pi^5 = 6\pi^5 = 1836.118109 \tag{15} \end{equation}
- Normal-Fluid Meridian Boundary-Layer Rest-Energy Ratio (ΔMvisc=π2βTRT): In an inviscid fluid (χn=βTRT=0), Eq. (15) gives 6π5=1836.118109, leaving a residual of 0.034564 below experiment. To evaluate the normal-fluid boundary-layer rest energy Evisc(βTRT) in units directly commensurable with Ee, consider the meridian polar angle θ∈[0,π] of the toroidal vortex core. Relative to the unattenuated core meridian energy density e0≡Ee/π [J rad−1] (normalized such that ∫0πe0dθ=Ee), the peripheral normal-fluid mass fraction χn=ρn,0/ρ0=βTRT couples under Postulate P3 across its 2C(31)=6 bilateral sheath crossings to the fundamental poloidal half-wave dipole projection sinθ across θ∈[0,π], storing differential boundary-layer rest energy dEvisc(θ)=χne0sinθdθ. Integrating dEvisc(θ) over θ∈[0,π] and dividing by the reference rest energy Ee=∫0πe0dθ yields the exact dimensionless rest-energy increment: \begin{equation} \Delta M_{\text{visc}}(\beta_{\text{TRT}}) \equiv \frac{E_{\text{visc}}(\beta_{\text{TRT}})}{E_e} = \frac{\int_0^\pi \chi_n e_0 \sin\theta,d\theta}{\int_0^\pi e_0 , d\theta} = \frac{\beta_{\text{TRT}}}{\pi}\int_0^\pi \sin\theta,d\theta = \frac{2}{\pi}\beta_{\text{TRT}} = \frac{2}{\pi}(0.05392055) = 0.0343269 \tag{16} \end{equation}
Summing the two dimensionless rest-energy ratios (15) and (16) yields the constitutive TRT mass-ratio formula: \begin{equation} \mu_{\text{TRT}} \equiv \frac{\mathcal{H}{\text{sol}}(2, 3)}{\mathcal{H}{\text{sol}}(1, 1)} = 6\pi^5 + \frac{2}{\pi}\beta_{\text{TRT}} = 1836.118109 + 0.034327 = 1836.152436 \tag{17} \end{equation} Precision Calibration vs. CODATA 2022: Comparing μTRT=1836.152436 to the CODATA 2022 experimental value μexp=1836.15267343(11) gives an absolute residual of ∣μTRT−μexp∣=2.37×10−4, or a relative approximation accuracy of 0.13 ppm (99.999987%). Because this 0.13 ppm residual exceeds the 6×10−11 CODATA experimental uncertainty, Eq. (17) is classified in Table 4 as a leading-order constitutive soliton benchmark (prior to O(βTRT3) toroidal aspect-ratio curvature corrections) rather than an exact identity.
4.3 Secondary Bjerknes Nuclear Binding, Void Fraction (ϵeff) & The 1-Radian (57.2958∘) Limit
In a compressible fluid of density ρ0, two spherical solitons pulsating in phase at angular frequency ω0 with volume amplitudes V˙1,V˙2 experience an attractive secondary Bjerknes acoustic radiation force:
\begin{equation}
\mathbf{F}_{\text{Bj}}(r) = -\frac{\rho_0 \langle \dot{V}_1 \dot{V}2 \rangle}{4\pi r^2} \exp!\left(-\frac{r}{\lambda{\text{screen}}}\right)\hat{\mathbf{r}} \tag{18}
\end{equation}
At contact, 12 equal spheres packed around a central sphere of radius R form the Carbon-12 12-around-1 close-packed cluster:
- Effective Interstitial Void Fraction (ϵeff — Both Linearized and Exact Sheath Roots): By Kepler–Hales close-packing, bare rigid spheres of radius R have maximum FCC/HCP packing density ϕFCC=32π=0.740480 (bare void fraction 1−ϕFCC=0.259520). Including the normal-fluid boundary-layer sheath derived in Proposition 1 expands the effective hydrodynamic exclusion radius to Reff=R(1+δ∗/R), yielding the Effective Interstitial Void Fraction for both the leading-order linear closure (δ∗/R=21βTRT=0.026960) and the exact quadratic root (δ∗/R=1−1−βTRT=0.027334): \begin{equation} \epsilon_{\text{eff}}^{\text{(lin)}} = 1 - \phi_{\text{FCC}}\left(1 + \frac{1}{2}\beta_{\text{TRT}}\right)^3 = 0.19800 \approx 0.200, \qquad \epsilon_{\text{eff}}^{\text{(exact)}} = 1 - \phi_{\text{FCC}}\left(2 - \sqrt{1 - \beta_{\text{TRT}}}\right)^3 = 0.19712 \approx 0.200 \tag{19} \end{equation} Both roots agree to within 8.8×10−4 (0.4% relative), establishing an effective interstitial void fraction of ≈20%.
- Physical Derivation of the 1-Radian (57.2958∘) Acoustic Shear Stability Criterion: For 12 equal hard spheres of radius R close-packed around a central core sphere of radius R, the spherical surface passing through the centers of the 12 outer coordination spheres has radius Rcoord=R+R=2R. Two neighboring nucleon centers subtending central angle θ are separated by the coordination surface arc length s(θ)=Rcoordθ=2Rθ. The physical hard-core exclusion diameter between adjacent nucleons is dex=2R. By the Helmholtz–Rayleigh acoustic interference criterion, two neighboring solitons maintain independent attractive Bjerknes pressure wells if and only if their surface arc separation s(θ) is at least their acoustic exclusion diameter dex=2R: s(θ)≥dex⟺2Rθ≥2R⟺θ≥1 radian=π180∘=57.2958∘ Because the radial scale factor 2R cancels identically from both sides, the 1-radian (57.2958∘) stability threshold is an exact geometric theorem independent of the underlying nucleon radius. When θ<1 rad, adjacent surface acoustic sheaths overlap within their exclusion diameter (s(θ)<2R), creating a constructive near-field shear-pressure spike that ruptures the Bjerknes potential well. For N=12 outer spheres on a spherical shell, both the equal-radius FCC kissing angle θFCC(12)=60.0000∘ (π/3 rad) and the unconstrained icosahedral Tammes vertex maximum θTammes(12)=arccos(1/5)=63.4349∘ strictly satisfy θ≥1 rad (57.2958∘). Forcing a 13th sphere onto the inner shell reduces the Tammes upper bound to θTammes(13)=57.1367∘<1 rad (57.2958∘), violating s(θ)≥dex and inducing cavitation fission.
4.4 Bernoulli Derivation of the Hydrodynamic Cavitation Mass Floor
To derive the cavitation mass-floor step function from the Euler–Bernoulli pressure law, consider a localized rotational wave packet of kinetic energy Ek [J] confined within a fundamental wavelength core volume Vcore in the Plenum of ambient hydrostatic pressure P0≡Ecav/Vcore. By the steady compressible Bernoulli theorem, the rotational kinetic energy density induces a core pressure drop ΔPcore=P0−Pcore=Ek/Vcore. A hollow phase-locked vortex core nucleates (cavitates) if and only if the core absolute pressure drops to the vacuum vapor floor (Pcore≤0⟺ΔPcore≥P0), which yields the exact Cavitation Nucleation Condition Ek≥P0Vcore=Ecav=ARThf0:
- For Ek<Ecav (Pcore>0), the perturbation cannot nucleate a cavitated boundary wall and disperses as massless longitudinal acoustic radiation (m=0).
- For Ek≥Ecav (Pcore≤0), cavitation locks in a topological boundary wall whose minimum threshold rest energy Emin=Ecav corresponds by m=E/c02 to the invariant mass floor μ0=Ecav/c02=2.84140×10−41 kg:
\begin{equation} m(E_k) = \mu_0 \cdot \Theta!\left(\frac{P_0 - P_{\text{core}}}{P_0} - 1\right) = \mu_0 \cdot \Theta!\left(\frac{E_k}{E_{\text{cav}}} - 1\right) = \left(\frac{A_{\text{RT}} h f_0}{c_0^2}\right) \Theta!\left(\frac{E_k}{A_{\text{RT}} h f_0} - 1\right) \tag{20} \end{equation} Every factor in Eq. (20) is dimensionally homogeneous ([Ek/(ARThf0)]=J/J=1 and [μ0]=kg). (Scope Qualification: Eq. 5. Cosmological Wave-Attenuation Model & Resolution of the Hubble Tension
Physical Picture: Why do measurements of the early universe (via the Cosmic Microwave Background) infer a baseline expansion rate of Hearly=67.40 km s−1Mpc−1, while local supernova telescopes (SH0ES) measure Hlate=73.04 km s−1Mpc−1? In an empty vacuum, photon redshift can only arise from metric expansion, so an +8.4% jump in apparent redshift requires invoking a late-time "dark energy" acceleration. In the two-fluid Plenum, a 1D line-of-sight acoustic waveguide extending from the observer (r=0, pressure antinode δP′(0)=0) to the causal horizon (r=RH, pressure node δP(RH)=0) supports the exact fundamental cosine standing mode δP(r)=δP0cos(k1r) whose first zero occurs at k1RH=π/2 radians (90∘ quarter-wave cavity). Across that π/2 rad horizon phase, the 5.392% normal-fluid component contributes an integrated acoustic attenuation susceptibility ηTRT=2πβTRT=+0.0847 (+8.47%). When local distance-ladder surveys measure the total redshift slope dzobs/ddL, they observe the sum of baseline expansion and horizon-coupled acoustic attenuation: 67.40×(1+0.084698)=73.11 km s−1Mpc−1—matching the SH0ES measurement to 0.07σ without dark energy.
5.1 Exact Quarter-Wave Horizon Eigenmode (k1RH=π/2), Achromatic Action-Transfer Bridge and the +8.47% Hubble Estimator Shift
We now derive the mathematical link between normal-fluid acoustic damping βTRT and the fractional discrepancy between early-universe CMB inferences (Hearly=67.40±0.50 km s−1Mpc−1 [8]) and local distance-ladder measurements (Hlate=73.04±1.04 km s−1Mpc−1 [9]).
- Exact 1D Line-of-Sight Helmholtz Boundary-Value Problem (k1RH=π/2): Along a 1D line-of-sight acoustic waveguide ray r∈[0,RH] connecting the observer at r=0 to the causal Hubble horizon at r=RH=c0/Hearly=4,447.96 Mpc, longitudinal pressure perturbations δP(r) obey the 1D Helmholtz equation: dr2d2δP(r)+k2δP(r)=0,r∈[0,RH] subject to mixed Neumann–Dirichlet quarter-wave resonator boundary conditions: (i) Observer pressure antinode: drdδPr=0=0,(ii) Causal horizon pressure node: δP(RH)=0 The unique general solution of δP′′(r)+k2δP(r)=0 satisfying the Neumann condition δP′(0)=−kδP0sin(0)=0 is the exact cosine eigenfunction: δP(r)=δP0cos(kr) Imposing the Dirichlet horizon condition δP(RH)=δP0cos(kRH)=0 yields the exact eigenvalue spectrum knRH=(n−21)π for n=1,2,3,…, whose fundamental mode (n=1) has its exact first root at k1RH=π/2: k1RH=2π⟹ϕ(r)≡k1r=2πRHr∈[0,2π],Δϕ=ϕ(RH)−ϕ(0)=2π rad (Equivalently, in 3D spherical coordinates where r21drd(r2drdψ)+k2ψ=0, the canonical radial displacement potential u(r)≡rψ(r) satisfies u′′(r)+k2u(r)=0 with origin regularity u(0)=0, giving u(r)=u0sin(kr); imposing the open-horizon Neumann condition u′(RH)=ku0cos(kRH)=0 likewise yields the exact fundamental eigenvalue k1RH=π/2.)
- Achromatic Cavity Action-Transfer Bridge and Damped Photon Frequency ODE: Along the 1D line-of-sight causal horizon cavity, spatial position r∈[0,RH] maps to the cavity standing-mode phase ϕ(r)≡k1r=2πRHr∈[0,π/2] with spatial phase gradient drdϕ=k1=2RHπ. By Proposition 1, as a propagating photon wave packet traverses the cavity phase, its fractional energy and frequency loss per radian of cavity phase advance is ω1dϕdω=−βTRT. By the chain rule: ω1drdω=ω1dϕdωdrdϕ=(−βTRT)(2RHπ)=−2RHπβTRT≡−γcav Because the spatial wavenumber k1=2RHπ is a fixed geometric property of the cosmological horizon cavity (independent of photon frequency ω), the spatial damping coefficient γcav=2RHπβTRT is strictly achromatic (frequency-independent). Consequently, photon wave packets across the entire optical/infrared spectrum experience identical fractional redshift without dispersion or image blurring. Integrating over the quarter-wave causal horizon ϕ∈[0,π/2] defines the Horizon Acoustic Attenuation Bias (ηTRT): \begin{equation} \eta_{\text{TRT}} \equiv \int_0^{\pi/2} \beta_{\text{TRT}},d\phi = k_1 R_H \beta_{\text{TRT}} = \frac{\pi}{2},\beta_{\text{TRT}} = \frac{\pi}{2}\left(0.05392055\right) = +0.084698 ; (+8.47%) \tag{21} \end{equation} Along a comoving photon path r∈[0,dL] in an expanding background of true metric rate Hearly=c0/RH coupled to the cavity spatial attenuation rate γcav=RHηTRT=c0Hearly(2πβTRT), the photon angular frequency ω(r) obeys the first-order differential equation: ω1drdω=−c0Hearly−γcav=−c0Hearly(1+2πβTRT),ω(0)=ωemit Integrating from r=0 to luminosity distance r=dL gives 1+zobs(dL)≡ω(dL)ωemit=exp[c0HearlydL(1+2πβTRT)].
- Exact Evaluation of the Local Distance-Ladder Estimator (Hlate, TRT>Hearly): Whereas early-universe CMB analysis [8] infers the background expansion rate Hearly=67.40 km s−1Mpc−1 from baryon-photon acoustic peaks at z∗≈1090, local Type Ia supernova surveys (SH0ES [9]) define the late-universe Hubble estimator from the low-redshift linear slope Hlate≡c0ddLdzobsdL→0. Differentiating zobs(dL) at dL=0 yields the strictly positive estimator shift: \begin{equation} H_{\text{late, TRT}} \equiv c_0 \left.\frac{dz_{\text{obs}}}{dd_L}\right|{d_L \to 0} = H{\text{early}} \left(1 + \frac{\pi}{2}\beta_{\text{TRT}}\right) = 67.40 \times 1.084698 = 73.11\text{ km s}^{-1}\text{Mpc}^{-1} \tag{22} \end{equation} This predicted value (73.11 km s−1Mpc−1) agrees with the SH0ES measurement (73.04±1.04 km s−1Mpc−1 [9]) to within 0.07σ (0.10% relative error) without dark energy (Λ) or any modification to present-epoch local c0.
5.2 Cymatic Shell Quantization and the Geometric-Mean BAO Scale (λBAO=152.53 Mpc)
To eliminate any ad-hoc Hubble baseline in evaluating the Baryon Acoustic Oscillation (BAO) scale, we define the effective two-fluid cavity Hubble rate Hˉcav directly from the two endpoints derived in Section 5.1 (Hearly=67.40 and Hlate, TRT=73.11 km s−1Mpc−1) as their exact geometric mean (corresponding to the half-attenuated midpoint phase ϕmid=π/4 of the quarter-wave cavity): Hˉcav≡HearlyHlate, TRT=Hearly1+2πβTRT=67.40×1.084698=70.196 km s−1Mpc−1 which defines the effective cavity length Lcav≡c0/Hˉcav=4,270.77 Mpc. Under Postulate P5, standing pressure waves inside Lcav are quantized by the spherical harmonic shell closure numbers Nshell∈{2,8,20,28,50,82,126}, where the 5th shell closure (N5=50) corresponds to the integer floor of ART=50.4127 and the 4th spherical shell closure (N4=28) defines the primary baryonic nodal wavelength: \begin{equation} \lambda_{\text{BAO}} \equiv \frac{L_{\text{cav}}}{N_4} = \frac{c_0}{N_4 H_{\text{early}}\sqrt{1 + \frac{\pi}{2}\beta_{\text{TRT}}}} = \frac{4,270.77\text{ Mpc}}{28} = 152.53\text{ Mpc} \tag{23} \end{equation} (Evaluated at the unattenuated early-universe endpoint RH=c0/Hearly=4,447.96 Mpc and attenuated late-universe endpoint Llate=c0/Hlate, TRT=4,100.64 Mpc, the N4=28 harmonic spans [146.45,158.86] Mpc with exact geometric mean 152.53 Mpc, matching the empirical BAO comoving sound horizon rd≈147–153 Mpc.)
5.3 Dimensionally Consistent Solar Tachocline Torque Balance & Calibrated 8-Planet Summation
Over an 11.0-year Schwabe magnetic cycle (Tcyc=4,017.75 d), solar differential rotation between the equatorial tachocline (Peq=24.471 d) and polar regions (Ppole=34.00 d) accumulates a total torsional wind-up angle ΔΦSun: \begin{equation} \Delta\Phi_{\text{Sun}} = 360^\circ \times T_{\text{cyc}}\left(\frac{1}{P_{\text{eq}}} - \frac{1}{P_{\text{pole}}}\right) = 360^\circ \times 46.00\text{ laps} = 16,560.0^\circ ; (289.027\text{ rad}) \tag{24} \end{equation} To keep ART=50.412727 strictly dimensionless everywhere while ensuring complete arithmetic reproducibility from the text alone, let Φ0≡1∘=180π rad denote the dimensional unit phase angle so that ARTΦ0=50.412727∘=0.879868 rad defines the characteristic torsional phase scale per Earth mass M⊕=5.972×1024 kg. Using the calibrated planetary orbital-impedance phase absorptions Φp,i=ARTΦ0(Mi/M⊕)wi, where wi=(a⊕/ai)1/2ηsyn,i is the product of each planet's Keplerian lever arm (a⊕/ai)1/2 and its empirical synodic lap coupling coefficient ηsyn,i with the solar tachocline (explicitly listed below as calibrated solar-system inputs):
- Jupiter (MJ=317.83M⊕, aJ=5.2044 AU, (a⊕/aJ)1/2=0.43835, ηsyn,J=1.7003⟹wJ=0.74532): Φp,Jup=50.412727∘×317.83×0.74532=11,942.0∘ (75.34% of planetary total)
- Saturn (MS=95.159M⊕, aS=9.5826 AU, (a⊕/aS)1/2=0.32304, ηsyn,S=1.7191⟹wS=0.55534): Φp,Sat=50.412727∘×95.159×0.55534=2,664.0∘ (16.81%)
- Neptune (MN=17.147M⊕, aN=30.070 AU, (a⊕/aN)1/2=0.18236, ηsyn,N=3.9200⟹wN=0.71485): Φp,Nep=50.412727∘×17.147×0.71485=618.0∘ (3.90%)
- Uranus (MU=14.536M⊕, aU=19.218 AU, (a⊕/aU)1/2=0.22811, ηsyn,U=3.1347⟹wU=0.71506): Φp,Ura=50.412727∘×14.536×0.71506=524.0∘ (3.31%)
- Inner Terrestrial Group (∑Minner=1.989M⊕, (a⊕/aeff)1/2=1.0000, ηsyn,in=1.0173⟹win=1.0173): Φp,inner=50.412727∘×1.989×1.0173=102.0∘ (0.64%)
Summing all 8 planetary contributions gives the exact total Φp=11,942.0∘+2,664.0∘+618.0∘+524.0∘+102.0∘=15,850.0∘ (276.635 rad), leaving an uncompensated torsional phase residual ΔΦ=ΔΦSun−Φp=16,560.0∘−15,850.0∘=710.0∘ (12.3918 rad). Balancing ΔΦ at the outer Oort standing-wave boundary across the ±2πβTRT impedance band yields the consistency estimate: \begin{equation} M_{\text{Oort}} = M_\oplus \left(\frac{\Delta\Phi}{A_{\text{RT}},\Phi_0}\right)\left(1 \pm \frac{\pi}{2}\beta_{\text{TRT}}\right) = M_\oplus \left(\frac{710.0^\circ}{50.412727 \times 1^\circ}\right)(1 \pm 0.0847) = 14.08 \pm 1.19,M_\oplus \tag{25} \end{equation} In Eq. (25), the angular units cancel explicitly (deg/deg=rad/rad=1), keeping ART strictly dimensionless and yielding an outer Oort anchor mass consistency range of 12.89 to 15.27M⊕ (classified in Table 4 as a calibrated solar-system consistency model rather than an ab initio prediction).
6. Curl-Compatible Regularized Vorticity PDE, A Priori L2 Enstrophy Bound & Orbital Falsifiability
Physical Picture: In classic fluid mechanics (the unmodified Navier–Stokes equations), a 3D fluid lacks an intrinsic upper bound on spin: in principle, vortex stretching can amplify vorticity (ω) toward infinity at a single point ("finite-time blowup"). In the two-fluid Quantum Plenum, however, a vortex core spinning near the medium's relaxation frequency ω0=τ0−1 experiences Hall–Vinen mutual friction against the 5.392% normal-fluid component, venting excess rotational energy into longitudinal sound waves. Mathematically, this acts like a solenoidal cubic pressure-relief valve (−βTRTτ0P(∣ω∣2ω)): because the cubic valve dissipation (∣ω∣4) grows faster than quadratic vortex stretching (∣ω∣2∥∇u∥L2), global L2 enstrophy cannot blow up in finite time for smooth solutions. In the solar system, this same two-fluid medium produces two mechanical signatures: (1) a sunward spacecraft ram-impedance deceleration spanning [8.124,8.812]×10−10 m s−2 (midpoint aˉplenum=(8.47±0.34)×10−10 m s−2), which NASA's solar-powered Europa Clipper will test prospectively in 2028–2030, and (2) an Earth–Moon waveguide recession ceiling of 3.9214 cm yr−1 reduced by 2.696% boundary-layer slip (−0.1057 cm yr−1) to yield a net lunar recession rate of 3.816 cm yr−1.
6.1 Solenoidal Leray–Helmholtz Regularized 3D Vorticity Equation
In classical 3D incompressible fluid mechanics (∇⋅u=0), the vorticity ω=∇×u [s−1] satisfies ∇⋅ω=0 and evolves via ∂tω+(u⋅∇)ω=(ω⋅∇)u+ν0∇2ω. As formulated in Proposition 1, when local vorticity approaches τ0−1=ω0, two-fluid mutual friction sheds rotational energy into acoustic waves at rate βTRTτ0∣ω∣2ω. Because the raw vector field ∣ω∣2ω is not generally divergence-free, we apply the Leray–Helmholtz orthogonal solenoidal projector P (PF≡F−∇Δ−1(∇⋅F), satisfying ∇⋅(PF)=0 identically), yielding the Curl-Compatible TRT-Regularized 3D Vorticity Equation: \begin{equation} \frac{\partial \boldsymbol{\omega}}{\partial t} + (\mathbf{u} \cdot \nabla) \boldsymbol{\omega} = (\boldsymbol{\omega} \cdot \nabla) \mathbf{u} + \nu_0 \nabla^2 \boldsymbol{\omega} - \beta_{\text{TRT}},\tau_0 , \mathbb{P}!\left(|\boldsymbol{\omega}|^2 \boldsymbol{\omega}\right), \qquad \mathbf{u} = \nabla \times (-\Delta)^{-1}\boldsymbol{\omega} \tag{26} \end{equation} Verification of Curl Compatibility and SI Dimensions:
- Preservation of ∇⋅ω=0: Because (u⋅∇)ω−(ω⋅∇)u=∇×(ω×u) is an exact curl and ∇⋅P(∣ω∣2ω)=0 identically, taking the divergence of Eq. (26) gives ∂t(∇⋅ω)=ν0∇2(∇⋅ω). Thus ∇⋅ω0=0⟹∇⋅ω(⋅,t)=0 for all t≥0 (corresponding at the velocity level to the momentum damping force −βTRTτ0∇×(−Δ)−1∇×(∣ω∣2ω)).
- Dimensional Homogeneity: Since [βTRT]=1, [τ0]=s, [P]=1, and [∣ω∣2ω]=s−3, the damping term has exact SI units of [s⋅s−3]=[s−2], matching ∂tω.
6.2 Theorem 1: A Priori Global L2 Enstrophy Bound for Smooth Solutions of the TRT-Regularized System
(Scope Qualification: The Clay Mathematics Institute Millennium Problem concerns the unmodified continuum Navier–Stokes system with βTRT=0. Theorem 1 establishes a rigorous a priori global L2 enstrophy bound and Lt4Lx4 vorticity spacetime integrability for smooth solutions of the physically regularized TRT vorticity system (26) with βTRTτ0>0 on R3 and the periodic 3-torus T3.)
Theorem 1 (A Priori Enstrophy Boundedness on R3 and T3): Let Ω be either the whole space R3 (with rapid decay at infinity) or the periodic 3-torus T3=[0,L]3 (of finite volume V=L3<∞), and let ω0∈Lσ2(Ω) with ∇⋅ω0=0, and on the periodic 3-torus T3, with zero spatial mean ∫T3ω0(x)d3x=0 (i.e. belonging to the range of curl / orthogonal complement of harmonic 1-forms, ensuring that the velocity reconstruction u=∇×(−Δ)−1ω is uniquely defined in L2(T3) with ∫T3ud3x=0). For any smooth solution ω(⋅,t) of Eq. (26) on [0,T] with ν0>0 and βTRTτ0>0: (a) On both Ω=R3 and Ω=T3, the enstrophy ∥ω(t)∥L2(Ω)2 satisfies the finite-horizon Grönwall a priori bound: \begin{equation} |\boldsymbol{\omega}(t)|{L^2(\Omega)}^2 + \int_0^t \left(2\nu_0 |\nabla\boldsymbol{\omega}(s)|{L^2(\Omega)}^2 + \beta_{\text{TRT}}\tau_0 |\boldsymbol{\omega}(s)|{L^4(\Omega)}^4\right) ds \le |\boldsymbol{\omega}0|{L^2(\Omega)}^2 \exp!\left(\frac{t}{\beta{\text{TRT}}\tau_0}\right) < \infty \quad \forall t \in [0, T] \tag{27} \end{equation} (b) Moreover, on the periodic 3-torus Ω=T3=[0,L]3 of finite volume V=L3<∞, the enstrophy is uniformly bounded for all t≥0 by the time-independent absorbing ball: \begin{equation} |\boldsymbol{\omega}(t)|{L^2(\mathbb{T}^3)}^2 \le \max!\left(|\boldsymbol{\omega}0|{L^2(\mathbb{T}^3)}^2, ; \frac{V}{\beta{\text{TRT}}^2 \tau_0^2}\right) < \infty \quad \forall t \ge 0 \tag{28} \end{equation}
Proof: Step 1 (Exact Enstrophy Identity & Orthogonal Projector Self-Adjointness): Taking the L2(Ω) inner product of Eq. (26) with ω on Ω∈{R3,T3}, all integration-by-parts boundary terms vanish identically by periodicity on T3 or decay on R3. In particular, the advection term vanishes by incompressibility (∫Ωω⋅(u⋅∇)ωd3x=−21∫Ω(∇⋅u)∣ω∣2d3x=0), and the viscous term integrates by parts to −ν0∥∇ω∥L2(Ω)2. Because P is an orthogonal projection in L2(Ω) and ω is divergence-free (Pω=ω), self-adjointness gives ∫Ωω⋅P(∣ω∣2ω)d3x=∫Ω(Pω)⋅(∣ω∣2ω)d3x=∫Ω∣ω∣4d3x=∥ω∥L4(Ω)4. Thus: \begin{equation} \frac{1}{2}\frac{d}{dt}|\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^2(\Omega)}^2 + \nu_0 |\nabla \boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^2(\Omega)}^2 + \beta_{\text{TRT}}\tau_0 |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^4(\Omega)}^4 = \int\Omega \boldsymbol{\omega} \cdot (\boldsymbol{\omega} \cdot \nabla)\mathbf{u},d^3x \tag{29} \end{equation}
Step 2 (Degree-3 L4×L4×L2 Hölder Estimate & Plancherel Identity with Zero Mean): By Hölder's inequality with exponents (p,q,r)=(4,4,2) satisfying 41+41+21=1, we bound the vortex-stretching integral by: \begin{equation} \left|\int_\Omega \boldsymbol{\omega} \cdot (\boldsymbol{\omega} \cdot \nabla)\mathbf{u},d^3x\right| \le \int_\Omega |\boldsymbol{\omega}| , |\boldsymbol{\omega}| , |\nabla \mathbf{u}|,d^3x \le |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^4(\Omega)} , |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^4(\Omega)} , |\nabla \mathbf{u}|{L^2(\Omega)} = |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^4(\Omega)}^2 , |\nabla \mathbf{u}|{L^2(\Omega)} \tag{30} \end{equation} For any divergence-free velocity field u (∇⋅u=0) with ω=∇×u on Ω∈{R3,T3}, boundary surface integrals vanish identically. Furthermore, on T3, because ∫T3ωd3x=0, the Fourier zero mode ω^(0) vanishes identically, ensuring that the Fourier representation u^(k)=ik×ω^(k)/∣k∣2 is completely non-singular for all k∈(2π/L)Z3∖{0}. By Plancherel's theorem / vector identities, ∥∇u∥L2(Ω)2=∥∇×u∥L2(Ω)2+∥∇⋅u∥L2(Ω)2=∥ω∥L2(Ω)2, so ∥∇u∥L2(Ω)=∥ω∥L2(Ω) with exact constant 1. Substituting this into Eq. (30) yields the scaling-homogeneous degree-3 bound: \begin{equation} \left|\int\Omega \boldsymbol{\omega} \cdot (\boldsymbol{\omega} \cdot \nabla)\mathbf{u},d^3x\right| \le |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^4(\Omega)}^2 , |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^2(\Omega)} \tag{31} \end{equation}
Step 3 (Elementary Quadratic Young Inequality & Absorption): Applying the elementary quadratic Young inequality ab≤2ϵa2+2ϵ1b2 with a=∥ω∥L4(Ω)2, b=∥ω∥L2(Ω), and ϵ=βTRTτ0>0 gives: \begin{equation} |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^4(\Omega)}^2 , |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^2(\Omega)} \le \frac{\beta_{\text{TRT}}\tau_0}{2}|\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^4(\Omega)}^4 + \frac{1}{2\beta{\text{TRT}}\tau_0}|\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^2(\Omega)}^2 \tag{32} \end{equation} Substituting Eq. (32) into Eq. (29), subtracting 2βTRTτ0∥ω∥L44 from both sides, and multiplying by 2 yields the linear differential inequality: \begin{equation} \frac{d}{dt}|\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^2(\Omega)}^2 + 2\nu_0 |\nabla\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^2(\Omega)}^2 + \beta{\text{TRT}}\tau_0 |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^4(\Omega)}^4 \le \frac{1}{\beta{\text{TRT}}\tau_0}|\boldsymbol{\omega}|_{L^2(\Omega)}^2 \tag{33} \end{equation} Integrating Eq. (33) via Grönwall's lemma immediately establishes Part (a) (Eq. 27) on both R3 and T3, ruling out finite-time enstrophy blowup at any t<∞.
Step 4 (Logistic Riccati Absorbing Ball on the Periodic 3-Torus T3): On the periodic 3-torus Ω=T3=[0,L]3 of finite volume V=L3<∞, Cauchy–Schwarz on 1⋅∣ω∣2 gives ∥ω∥L2(T3)2≤V1/2∥ω∥L4(T3)2, hence −∥ω∥L4(T3)4≤−V1∥ω∥L2(T3)4. Substituting this into Eq. (33) and dropping the non-negative viscous term 2ν0∥∇ω∥L2(T3)2≥0, the enstrophy Y(t)≡∥ω(t)∥L2(T3)2 obeys the logistic Riccati differential inequality: \begin{equation} \frac{dY}{dt} \le \frac{1}{\beta_{\text{TRT}}\tau_0} Y - \frac{\beta_{\text{TRT}}\tau_0}{V} Y^2 = \frac{\beta_{\text{TRT}}\tau_0}{V} Y \left(\frac{V}{\beta_{\text{TRT}}^2\tau_0^2} - Y\right) \tag{34} \end{equation} Because the damping term −VβTRTτ0Y2 is quadratic in Y while the growth term +βTRTτ01Y is strictly linear in Y, dtdY<0 whenever Y(t)>βTRT2τ02V. By the standard ODE comparison principle, Y(t)≤max(Y(0),βTRT2τ02V) for all t≥0, establishing Part (b) (Eq. 28). ■
6.3 Spacecraft Impedance Force Model, Europa Clipper Error Budget & Lunar Recession Decomposition
- Constitutive Spacecraft Ram-Impedance Force Law & Exact Midpoint/Half-Width Band: A spacecraft of mass msc moving radially outward at hyperbolic velocity v=vrr^ (vr≪c0) through the expanding Hubble-Plenum background experiences a cosmological acoustic impedance force Fplenum=mscaplenum. Under the constitutive waveguide closure declared in Postulate P5, during one full carrier wave cycle (Δϕcyc=2π rad) the dimensionless cycle impedance is Zcyc=2π+βTRT=6.33711, while projecting the bulk susceptibility ART across the two orthogonal half-wave toroidal cross-sections (π×π=π2) of a 3D dipole wake defines the reduced cross-sectional susceptibility Aeff=ART/π2=5.10788. Multiplying the baseline Hubble expansion acceleration −c0Hearlyr^ (c0Hearly=6.5483×10−10 m s−2) by the ratio Zcyc/Aeff defines the inner-heliospheric uncompressed baseline deceleration amin: \begin{equation} \mathbf{a}{\text{plenum}}^{(0)} = -c_0 H{\text{early}} \left(\frac{2\pi + \beta_{\text{TRT}}}{A_{\text{RT}} / \pi^2}\right) \hat{\mathbf{r}} = -\left(6.5483 \times 10^{-10}\text{ m s}^{-2}\right)\left(\frac{6.33711}{5.10788}\right)\hat{\mathbf{r}} = -8.124 \times 10^{-10}\text{ m s}^{-2},\hat{\mathbf{r}} \tag{35} \end{equation} In the outer heliospheric waveguide regime, inclusion of the quarter-wave horizon compression factor (1+2πβTRT)=1.0847 defines the outer-heliospheric compressed ceiling amax≡amin(1+2πβTRT)=8.812×10−10 m s−2. Across the radial transition regime [amin,amax]=[8.124,8.812]×10−10 m s−2, the exact midpoint aˉplenum=21(amin+amax) and model half-width Δaband=21(amax−amin) are: aˉplenum=amin(1+4πβTRT)=8.468×10−10 m s−2≈8.47×10−10 m s−2,Δaband=±0.344×10−10 m s−2 yielding the exact theoretical model band (8.47±0.34)×10−10 m s−2 (and when combined linearly with the ±0.65×10−10 m s−2 3σ spacecraft systematic floor from Table 3, a total observational acceptance interval of (8.47±0.99)×10−10 m s−2, consistent with the historical Pioneer 10/11 residual of (8.74±1.33)×10−10 m s−2 [10]).
- Europa Clipper 2028–2030 Navigation Systematics & Doppler Error Budget: Turyshev et al. (2012) [10] showed that on Pioneer 10/11, anisotropic thermal radiation recoil from four nuclear SNAP-19 RTGs could account for ∼8×10−10 m s−2 of sunward acceleration. NASA's Europa Clipper (outer cruise 4.0 AU≤r≤5.2 AU, 2028–2030) eliminates RTG thermal recoil completely by carrying zero RTGs and using symmetric 100 m2 solar wings. Table 3 documents the quantitative non-gravitational acceleration error budget during quiet outer-cruise X/Ka-band Doppler tracking windows, demonstrating a combined 3σ systematic uncertainty floor of σ3σ=0.65×10−10 m s−2—more than an order of magnitude below the predicted TRT signal (aˉplenum=8.47×10−10 m s−2).

Reconciled Secular Lunar Recession Law & Dynamical Boundary Governor Model: In the TRT Earth–Moon waveguide model (Postulate P5), the bimodal 2N5=100 harmonic of the carrier wavelength L0=3.92144 m over the terrestrial orbital period τyr=3.15576×107 s defines the unattenuated inviscid waveguide expansion ceiling r˙0: \begin{equation} \dot{r}0 \equiv \frac{L_0}{2 N_5 , \tau{\text{yr}}} = \frac{3.92144\text{ m}}{100\text{ yr}} = 3.92144\text{ cm yr}^{-1} \quad [\text{SI: } 1.2426 \times 10^{-9}\text{ m s}^{-1}] \tag{36} \end{equation} In celestial mechanics, terrestrial ocean-tidal friction is the dissipative fluid mechanism through which angular momentum is physically transferred. However, integrating standard ocean-tidal dissipation models backward in time produces the well-known Gerstenkorn timing anomaly (collapsing the Moon onto Earth within just ∼1.5–2.0 Gyr, in sharp conflict with 3.8–4.4 Gyr zircon geological records). In TRT, the macroscopic 2N5=100 acoustic standing waveguide acts as a macroscopic dynamical boundary governor / resonant attractor: ocean-tidal dissipation self-organizes to match the allowed phase-locked cavity expansion rate governed by the Plenum boundary-layer slip (Proposition 1).
Evaluating the net secular recession rate under both the leading-order linear thin-sheath approximation (δ∗/R=21βTRT=0.026960) and the exact quadratic root (δ∗/R=1−1−βTRT=0.027334) yields: \begin{align} \dot{r}{\text{net}}^{\text{(lin)}} &= \dot{r}0\left(1 - \frac{1}{2}\beta{\text{TRT}}\right) = 3.92144\text{ cm yr}^{-1} \times (1 - 0.026960) = 3.8157\text{ cm yr}^{-1} \approx 3.816\text{ cm yr}^{-1} \tag{37a} \ \dot{r}{\text{net}}^{\text{(exact)}} &= \dot{r}0\left(1 - (1 - \sqrt{1 - \beta{\text{TRT}}})\right) = 3.92144\text{ cm yr}^{-1} \times (1 - 0.027334) = 3.8143\text{ cm yr}^{-1} \approx 3.814\text{ cm yr}^{-1} \tag{37b} \end{align} Both roots agree to within 0.037% (0.0014 cm yr−1), defining the exact theoretical model band r˙TRT=3.815±0.001 cm yr−1. This tightly brackets the total Lunar Laser Ranging (LLR) measured recession rate (r˙obs=3.82±0.07 cm yr−1) to within 0.07σ without any sign or dimensional contradiction. Integrating r˙net=3.815 cm yr−1 backward over 4.50×109 yr gives Δr=171,675 km, placing initial lunar formation at r0=384,400−171,675=212,725 km—safely outside Earth's Roche limit (9,500 km) and resolving the Gerstenkorn collapse catastrophe.
7. Hydrostatic Realization of Newton's Gravitational Law
Physical Picture: In a compressible fluid, what we experience as "gravity" is modeled as a hydrostatic pressure-depletion gradient rather than curvature of an empty void. Because a baryonic mass distribution ρM(x) continuously cycles and condenses acoustic wave energy at its core boundaries, it acts as a steady hydrostatic pressure sink in the Plenum, creating a radial pressure depression P(r)=P0−rρ0GM below the ambient far-field pressure P0. Because pressure increases outward from the low-pressure mass toward P0, the radial pressure derivative is strictly positive (drdP=+r2ρ0GM>0). Any test body sitting in that outward-increasing pressure field experiences an inward Euler hydrostatic buoyancy acceleration g=−ρ01∇P=−r2GMr^ directed toward the low-pressure mass center.
Under Postulate P6 (Table 1), a stationary baryonic mass density distribution ρM(x) [kg m−3] of total mass M=∫R3ρM(x)d3x immersed in the uniform background Plenum of density ρ0 and far-field hydrostatic pressure P∞≡P0 sources a steady acoustic radiation-pressure depletion governed by the linearized Poisson hydrostatic equation: \begin{equation} \nabla^2 P(\mathbf{x}) = 4\pi G \rho_0 , \rho_M(\mathbf{x}), \qquad \lim_{|\mathbf{x}|\to\infty} P(\mathbf{x}) = P_0 \tag{38} \end{equation} Outside a spherically symmetric mass M concentrated within r≤Rcore, applying Gauss's divergence theorem ∮∂Br∇P⋅dA=4πr2drdP=4πGρ0M for r>Rcore yields the exact outward-increasing radial pressure gradient and static pressure profile: \begin{equation} \frac{dP(r)}{dr} = +\frac{\rho_0 G M}{r^2} > 0, \qquad P(r) = P_0 - \int_r^\infty \frac{\rho_0 G M}{{r'}^2},dr' = P_0 - \frac{\rho_0 G M}{r} \implies \Delta P(r) \equiv P(r) - P_0 = -\frac{\rho_0 G M}{r} < 0 \tag{39} \end{equation} Substituting the outward-positive pressure gradient ∇P(x)=drdPr^=+r2ρ0GMr^ into the Euler hydrostatic buoyancy acceleration g(x)≡−ρ01∇P(x) acting on a test parcel yields Newton's inverse-square law of universal gravitation with strictly inward (attractive) sign: \begin{equation} \mathbf{g}(\mathbf{x}) \equiv -\frac{1}{\rho_0}\nabla P(\mathbf{x}) = -\frac{1}{\rho_0}\left(+\frac{\rho_0 G M}{r^2}\hat{\mathbf{r}}\right) = -\frac{G M}{r^2}\hat{\mathbf{r}} \quad \left[\text{SI: } \frac{1}{\text{kg m}^{-3}}\frac{\text{N m}^{-2}}{\text{m}} = \text{m s}^{-2}\right] \tag{40} \end{equation} (Corollary — Bernoulli Free-Fall Speed as a Derived Consequence: For a test parcel accelerating quasi-statically from rest at r→∞ (P=P0,v=0) along the pressure profile (39) under Bernoulli's energy integral P(r)+21ρ0v2(r)=P0, solving for v(r) yields 21ρ0v2(r)=P0−P(r)=+rρ0GM⟹v(r)=2GM/r, satisfying vdrdv=21drd(v2)=−r2GM=−ρ01drdP consistently.)

Within its declared axioms, TRT is a broad and original physical-theory proposal rather than an appeal to consensus cosmology. Its strongest scientific feature is not its retrospective numerical correspondences but the attempt to expose a prospective solar-system test with a definite acceleration scale. The document also communicates epistemic categories more honestly than many wide-scope frameworks by labeling several prominent matches as postulate-conditioned retrodictions.
Its present scientific merit is limited by the gap between a numerical target and a fully operational discriminating experiment. The paper should elevate the Europa Clipper proposal into a true preregistered analysis specification and should make clear which observed outcomes—including non-null but off-band outcomes—would reject the framework. It should also reduce rhetorical conflation of conditional model outputs with empirical establishment, especially for claims that the Hubble discrepancy is resolved or that dark-sector interpretations are replaced.
This assessment agrees with the opposing reviewers that the declared constitutive choices must be evaluated as assumptions, not rejected for being unconventional. It also agrees that the quarter-wave calculation and much of the conditional PDE estimate are mathematically meaningful.
The decisive issue is narrower: a phase defined for a traveling wave is used as a different, horizon-scale standing-mode phase without an equivalence or transfer equation. That affects a headline retrodiction and triggers the central-definition cap. Separately, the phase-cell counting does not follow from the partition offered to justify it. The work can retain these formulas as explicit postulates, but the submitted derivations do not establish them as claimed.
⚑Derivation Flags (37)
- highEq. (15), Section 4.1-4.2 — The displayed phase-volume summation conflicts with the preceding claim that the nodal grid partitions one fundamental domain into \(pq\) cells. The text assigns each partition cell the full \([0,\pi]^5\) volume without specifying a map or measure that justifies this.
If wrong: The paper has not derived the geometric component of the proton-electron ratio from the stated nodal partition. The numerical expression can remain a declared P3 constitutive normalization, but its claimed topological derivation and associated benchmark lose support.
- highEq. (15), Section 4.2 — The step from 'the nodal grid partitions the fundamental domain into exactly p x q non-overlapping half-wave phase cells' to assigning each cell the full measure of [0,pi]^5 is not derived and contradicts the partition statement; the mixed [0,pi]^5 numerator over [0,1]^5 denominator normalization is also undefended.
If wrong: The headline retrodiction mu_TRT = 6 pi^5 + (2/pi) beta_TRT = 1836.152436 loses its geometric justification and survives only as a declared numerical coincidence in P3, removing the paper's principal subatomic benchmark.
- highEq. (21), Section 5.1(2) — The per-radian attenuation law derived for propagating-wave phase in Proposition 1(1) is applied to the horizon cavity standing-mode phase without any demonstrated equivalence or mapping between the two phase variables.
If wrong: Eqs. (21) and (22), the +8.47% Hubble estimator shift and the claimed 0.07 sigma SH0ES agreement, lose their derivation; Eq. (23)'s BAO scale (which is built on H_late,TRT) and the a_max compression factor in Section 6.3(1) also fail.
- highEq. (35), Section 6.3(1) — The dimensionless impedance ratio Z_cyc/A_eff is asserted under Postulate P5 with no derivation of either the additive combination of a cycle phase with a mass fraction or the pi^2 cross-sectional reduction of A_RT.
If wrong: The sole Category D prospective prediction, a_plenum = (8.47 +/- 0.34)e-10 m/s^2 for Europa Clipper 2028-2030, has no theoretical support; the paper's only out-of-sample falsifiable number becomes an unmotivated numerical coincidence with the historical Pioneer residual.
- highEqs. (13)–(15) — The claimed nodal-grid partition conflicts with assigning every one of its six cells the full-domain phase volume.
If wrong: The geometric part of the mass-ratio derivation is unsupported by its stated cell-counting argument; P3 would remain a stipulated value.
- highProposition 1 and Section 5.1, equations (21)–(22) — Attenuation per propagating-wave phase is applied per horizon standing-mode phase without deriving a relation between those phases. This is load-bearing for the principal Hubble result.
If wrong: The quarter-wave eigenvalue remains valid, but equations (21)–(22) no longer yield the claimed Hubble-estimator shift.
- highProposition 1(1) to Section 5.1(2), Eqs. (21)-(22) — The per-radian attenuation coefficient beta_TRT is derived for a propagating wave's own phase (phi = kr - omega t) in Proposition 1(1), but is then applied in Section 5.1(2) with the horizon-cavity standing-mode phase phi = k_1 r in [0, pi/2]. The two phase variables differ by ~30 orders of magnitude over a Hubble length, and no equivalence is established.
If wrong: If the phase substitution is invalid, the entire +8.47% Hubble shift (Eqs. 21-22) is unsupported, and the paper's headline cosmological retrodiction fails.
- highProposition 1(1); Eqs. (21)–(22) — The per-radian loss law is applied to a different phase variable without deriving a transfer rule.
If wrong: The integrated loss η_TRT = (π/2)β_TRT and consequent Hubble shift in Eq. (22) do not follow from the quarter-wave eigenvalue.
- highSection 4.4, equation (20) — A pressure-crossing criterion is treated as a derivation of a persistent topological wall and quantized rest mass; no dynamics establishing persistence or the mass assignment are supplied.
If wrong: The cavitation condition may remain a model criterion, but the claimed derivation of a hydrodynamic mass floor does not follow.
- highSection 5.1, Eqs. (21)-(22) — The action-transfer bridge applies the attenuation law derived using a propagating mode phase to a different, standing-cavity spatial phase without deriving their equivalence or a coupling relation.
If wrong: The integrated attenuation in Eq. (21), the apparent Hubble shift in Eq. (22), and downstream use of that shift as a cavity endpoint are unsupported.
- mediumEq. (16) — The narrative invokes six bilateral sheath crossings but supplies one meridional integral without specifying whether crossings multiply, overlap, or are already normalized into its energy density.
If wrong: The viscous correction in Eq. (17) is a P3 normalization rather than a demonstrated consequence of the crossing geometry.
- mediumEq. (16), Section 4.2 — The narrative says that the viscous contribution acts across six bilateral sheath crossings, but the displayed integral is a single meridional integral with no crossing factor and no shown cancellation or normalization connecting it to six crossings.
If wrong: The particular viscous correction in Eq. (16) is not derived from the crossing-count narrative. Since P3 declares the final formula, this primarily affects the claimed physical derivation of the correction rather than the ability to stipulate it as an axiom.
- mediumEq. (20) — The pressure-threshold comparison does not derive formation of a persistent topological wall or the claimed constant rest mass above threshold.
If wrong: The cavitation mass step is an added constitutive prescription, not a consequence of the displayed Bernoulli threshold.
- mediumEq. (26), velocity-level force parenthetical — Curling the stated velocity-level damping expression does not produce the projected damping term in the vorticity equation.
If wrong: The asserted velocity-level realization of Eq. (26) and its claimed curl relation are invalid, although Eq. (26) can still be studied as a separately posited PDE.
- mediumEqs. (35) and (21); outer-heliospheric ceiling — The horizon attenuation factor is applied as a local spacecraft-acceleration compression factor without a connecting waveguide equation.
If wrong: The proposed acceleration band's upper endpoint, midpoint, and half-width are not consequences of the baseline Eq. (35) alone.
- mediumEqs. (37a)-(37b) and surrounding text, Section 6.3(3) — An approximation-choice spread between a linearized and an exact root is presented as an exact theoretical uncertainty band and used to quote a sigma-level agreement.
If wrong: The lunar recession agreement is overstated; it remains a Category B postulate-conditioned retrodiction but the advertised 0.07 sigma / +/- 0.001 cm/yr precision is not justified.
- mediumProposition 1(1); Section 5.1 achromatic bridge — A loss coefficient introduced at the carrier relaxation resonance is applied to photons across the optical/infrared spectrum without a frequency-dependent closure or an established broadband limit.
If wrong: The claimed achromatic application of the Hubble attenuation law is unsupported, even if the carrier-frequency closure holds.
- mediumSection 4.1 vs Eq. (15) — Section 4.1 states the nodal grid partitions the fundamental domain into pq non-overlapping cells (total measure = domain measure), yet Eq. (15) sums pq full copies of [0,pi]^5. The denominator Vol_5(Omega_core) = 1 is the unit cube [0,1]^5 while the numerator cells are [0,pi]^5. Applying Eq. (15)'s own rule at (p,q) = (1,1) gives pi^5, contradicting Eq. (12).
If wrong: If the phase-cell measure is inconsistent, the mass-ratio formula (Eq. 17) rests on an internally contradictory definition of the T^5 winding functional.
- mediumSection 4.3 one-radian criterion — Surface arc separation is substituted for the center-to-center distance relevant to hard-sphere exclusion; the acoustic stability equivalence is also asserted rather than obtained from Eq. (18).
If wrong: The claimed exact 12-versus-13 sphere stability threshold and associated fission conclusion lack the offered geometric proof.
- mediumSection 4.3, 'Physical Derivation of the 1-Radian (57.2958 degrees) Acoustic Shear Stability Criterion' — The geometric inequality is shown, but the load-bearing physical premise equating independent Bjerknes wells with an arc-length exclusion condition, and the subsequent asserted fission mechanism, are not derived from Eq. (18) or from a specified dynamical stability model.
If wrong: The numerical 1-radian threshold remains a consequence of the assumed geometric rule, but the asserted nuclear-stability and N=13 fission interpretation is unsupported. This affects a secondary benchmark rather than Theorem 1, the hydrostatic derivation, or the Doppler prediction.
- mediumSection 4.3, item 2 (1-radian criterion) — The 'exact geometric theorem' compares a geodesic arc length on the coordination sphere with a straight-line hard-core exclusion diameter; the iff stability criterion is asserted rather than derived from Eq. (18).
If wrong: The nuclear fission threshold and the 'exact geometric theorem' label in Table 4 (Category B) are unsupported; the 12-around-1 Carbon-12 argument and the 13th-sphere fission claim become post-hoc numerology.
- mediumSection 4.3, one-radian stability criterion — The asserted exact hard-sphere threshold substitutes surface arc separation for physical center-to-center separation.
If wrong: The claimed exact one-radian packing/stability theorem and its specific 12-versus-13 physical interpretation are unsupported.
- mediumSection 5.1, alternative 3D formulation — The text calls a radial 3D boundary-value problem equivalent to the preceding 1D pressure problem, but changes both the dependent variable and the stated boundary conditions.
If wrong: The quarter-wave eigenvalue of the initial 1D problem remains valid, but the claimed independent 3D confirmation and physical interpretation of its boundary conditions are not established.
- mediumSection 5.2; Eq. (23) — The geometric mean is identified with a half-attenuated midpoint without following from the preceding linear phase law.
If wrong: The particular BAO baseline and Eq. (23)'s 152.53 Mpc value lose their claimed midpoint derivation, though they remain definable by an additional convention.
- mediumSection 6.1 parenthetical, Eq. (26) — The parenthetical in Section 6.1 states the velocity-level damping force is -beta_TRT tau_0 nabla x (-Delta)^-1 nabla x (|omega|^2 omega), but this does not curl to the damping term -beta_TRT tau_0 P(|omega|^2 omega) in Eq. (26).
If wrong: If the velocity-level force does not reproduce Eq. (26), the physical interpretation of the damping term is inconsistent with the stated two-fluid closure.
- mediumSection 6.1, velocity-level force following equation (26) — The proposed velocity-level damping operator does not reproduce the PDE's projected vorticity damping and has vorticity-rate rather than acceleration dimensions.
If wrong: The claimed velocity-level hydrodynamic realization of equation (26) fails; the separate conditional estimate for the vorticity PDE is not thereby disproved.
- mediumSection 6.1, verification item 1 (parenthetical) — The stated velocity-level damping force does not curl back to the damping term appearing in Eq. (26).
If wrong: Eq. (26) loses its claimed origin as the curl of a momentum-equation damping force; it remains a well-posed and solenoidal PDE (Theorem 1 is unaffected), but its physical derivation from Hall-Vinen mutual friction in the momentum equation is unsupported.
- lowSection 3.2, Eq. (6) — The heuristic octave scaling f_oct = f_P / 2^{114.85 + beta_TRT * cos(pi/6)} is presented as a heuristic bridge to the carrier frequency f_0. The value N_0 = 114.85 = 117.5 - log_2(2*pi) is stated but the choice of 117.5 is not derived from first principles.
If wrong: If the octave scaling is not physically meaningful, the carrier frequency f_0 would be purely empirical. However, the paper already treats f_0 as an empirical anchor, so the heuristic scaling is not load-bearing for any central result.
- lowSection 4.3, 1-radian criterion — The 1-radian stability criterion compares an arc length s = 2R theta with a chord-based hard-core exclusion diameter 2R. This is a metric mismatch: arc length and chord length are different geometric quantities.
If wrong: If the arc-length criterion is invalid, the claimed 12-vs-13 nuclear stability discrimination (which survives on a 0.3% margin) is not a rigorous geometric theorem.
- lowSection 4.3, Eq. (19) — The effective interstitial void fraction epsilon_eff is computed using the FCC packing density phi_FCC = pi/(3*sqrt(2)) = 0.740480 and the sheath expansion factor (1 + delta*/R)^3. The derivation is straightforward but the application to nuclear binding (the 1-radian stability criterion) is a geometric analogy rather than a rigorous derivation from the two-fluid equations.
If wrong: If the geometric analogy is not physically valid, the nuclear void fraction and 1-radian stability criterion would be unsupported. However, this is a secondary result (Category B benchmark) and does not affect the central mass ratio or Hubble shift derivations.
- lowSection 5.1 alternative 3D radial problem — The alternative radial problem is described as equivalent despite imposing different boundary conditions on a different dependent variable.
If wrong: The 3D discussion cannot independently justify the 1D pressure boundary conditions; the 1D eigenvalue calculation itself remains valid.
- lowSection 5.1, item 1 parenthetical (3D radial equivalence) — Two distinct boundary-value problems on different dependent variables are asserted to be 'equivalent' on the basis that their fundamental eigenvalues coincide.
If wrong: Only the claimed corroboration of the quarter-wave mode by a 3D formulation is weakened; the 1D result k_1 R_H = pi/2 itself is correct as stated.
- lowSection 5.1, parenthetical 'Equivalently, in 3D spherical coordinates' argument — The text labels a distinct radial Sturm-Liouville problem as equivalent to the preceding 1D pressure problem, despite changing both the dependent variable and the endpoint boundary conditions. It establishes a coincident fundamental eigenvalue, not equivalence.
If wrong: The exact 1D cosine eigenvalue argument remains valid on its own. Only the claimed 3D equivalence, and any inference that the 3D model supplies independent confirmation of the same pressure boundary conditions, must be withdrawn or reformulated.
- lowSection 5.2, geometric-mean midpoint interpretation — The geometric mean is described as corresponding exactly to the half-attenuated midpoint phase, although the stated attenuation factor is linear in accumulated phase.
If wrong: The BAO scale remains an explicitly chosen geometric-mean construction, but its asserted exact midpoint-phase justification fails.
- lowSection 5.3, Eq. (25) — The Oort boundary mass balance uses calibrated planetary orbital-impedance phase absorptions Phi_{p,i} = A_RT * Phi_0 * (M_i/M_oplus) * w_i, where w_i = (a_oplus/a_i)^{1/2} * eta_syn,i. The synodic lap coupling coefficients eta_syn,i are listed as 'empirical synodic lap coupling coefficients' but no derivation or source is provided for these specific numerical values (e.g., eta_syn,J = 1.7003, eta_syn,S = 1.7191, eta_syn,N = 3.9200, eta_syn,U = 3.1347, eta_syn,in = 1.0173).
If wrong: If the eta_syn,i coefficients are incorrect, the Oort mass estimate M_Oort = 14.08 +/- 1.19 M_oplus would be unreliable. However, this is classified as a Category C consistency model, not a central prediction, so the impact is limited.
- lowSection 6.1, parenthetical velocity-level damping force — The stated velocity-level force does not generally have curl equal to the projected vorticity damping term of Eq. (26).
If wrong: The vorticity equation may still be taken as the proposed PDE, but the asserted velocity-level realization does not justify it and should be corrected or removed.
- lowSection 6.3 lunar backward integration — A present-day recession rate is integrated over 4.50 billion years without a time-dependent recession law or an assumption that the rate remained constant.
If wrong: The inferred initial orbital radius and claimed resolution of a historical timing anomaly do not follow.
This framework proposes a two-fluid hydrodynamic vacuum model governed by two dimensionless invariants (A_RT, β_TRT) derived from α and e, and uses this architecture to generate retrodictive matches to the proton/electron mass ratio, the Hubble tension, BAO scale, lunar recession, and a single genuinely prospective, falsifiable prediction for the 2028-2030 Europa Clipper mission. The author is commendably disciplined about separating constitutive postulates from retrodictive benchmarks and prospective predictions (Table 4), and the writing is well organized with consistent notation and intuitive framing throughout. The central scientific concern is that most of the framework's numerical successes depend on a handful of discrete structural choices (torus dimension, knot indices, spherical shell closure numbers, octave index, planetary coupling weights) that appear tuned to reproduce already-known experimental values, which is characteristic of numerological fitting rather than forced physical necessity; this undermines confidence that the single true prospective test (the Europa Clipper residual) is an independent consequence of the theory rather than a free parameter chosen to sit comfortably above the stated noise floor. Nonetheless, taken on its own declared terms, the theory is falsifiable via a real near-term experiment with an explicit quantitative threshold, which is a genuine scientific strength relative to many frameworks in this space.
The work has a number of careful local algebraic and dimensional constructions, and several results are valid conditional on explicitly declared constitutive inputs. However, conditional consistency does not permit a variable to acquire a new operational meaning in a later load-bearing derivation without an equivalence or coupling law. The propagating phase/cavity phase substitution is central to the Hubble calculation and is not established by the quarter-wave boundary-value solution.
Likewise, P3 may legitimately stipulate a relative T^5 soliton functional, but the paper should not represent Eq. (15) as following from a nodal partition while summing full-domain volumes over every partition cell. Revision should either state these quantities purely as P3 normalizations, without an invalid derivation narrative, or provide a single coordinate measure and an explicit map showing why the claimed cell volumes and phase-transfer law follow.
Assessed for internal consistency in the consensus round, I land at 2/5 and enforce the central-definition-drift cap. The panel's optimistic positions (4/5, 5/5) correctly observe that the paper's symbol hygiene is unusually good — A_RT, beta_TRT, chi_n, tau_0, nu_0, E_cav and mu_0 are each defined once and reused without dimensional slippage, the exact-vs-linearized sheath roots are kept visibly distinct in Eqs. (19) and (37a)-(37b), and Table 4's ledger is candid about which results are postulate-conditioned. I weighed that defense directly and it does not survive two concrete checks. The phase variable phi is given an explicit propagating-wave definition in Proposition 1(1) (phi = kr - omega t, at omega_0 tau_0 = 1) and is then silently re-instantiated in Section 5.1(2) as the horizon cavity phase k_1 r in [0, pi/2]; the attenuation coefficient is carried across unchanged despite the two phase measures differing by roughly thirty orders of magnitude over a Hubble radius, and the entire +8.47% Hubble retrodiction (Eqs. 21-22) exists only because of that substitution. Separately, the T^5 phase measure is [0,1]^5 in Eq. (12) and [0,pi]^5 in Eq. (15), and Eq. (15)'s own rule at (p,q) = (1,1) returns pi^5 rather than the 1 that Eq. (12) requires — while Section 4.1's 'partitions into pq cells' statement is logically incompatible with Eq. (15) summing pq copies of the full domain. Both drifts are load-bearing for the paper's two headline numbers, which is exactly the cap condition.
On mathematical validity the picture is bifurcated. Theorem 1 is real mathematics, correctly executed: the projector self-adjointness step, the (4,4,2) Holder bound, the exact-constant Biot-Savart identity under the explicitly imposed zero-mean hypothesis, the Young absorption, and the logistic Riccati absorbing ball all verify, and the scope qualification honestly disclaims the Millennium Problem. Section 7's Poisson-to-Newton derivation and the Table 2 scale system are likewise clean and dimensionally homogeneous, and I independently reproduced nu_0, E_cav, mu_0, 6 pi^5 and the quadratic sheath root. But Eq. (15) cannot be obtained from its own stated partition argument, Eq. (21) cannot be obtained from the attenuation law as Proposition 1 states it, Eq. (35) is asserted without any derivation while fixing the sole falsifiable prediction, and Section 4.3's 'exact geometric theorem' rests on comparing an arc length with a chord-based exclusion diameter — a metric mismatch whose form, not whose physics, produces the 1-radian threshold. With a load-bearing unverified central derivation present and two central equations not obtainable from the stated premises, mathematical_validity is 2/5.
The Resonant Theory is a carefully bookkept framework with honest epistemic labeling, but it suffers from two central definitional drifts that undermine its headline retrodictions. The most serious is the phase drift: Proposition 1(1) derives the attenuation law d(omega)/omega = -beta_TRT d(phi) with phi the propagating wave's own phase (phi = kr - omega t), but Section 5.1(2) applies the same law with phi = k_1 r in [0, pi/2], the horizon-cavity standing-mode phase. These are different quantities differing by ~30 orders of magnitude over a Hubble length, and no equivalence is demonstrated. The entire +8.47% Hubble shift (Eqs. 21-22) follows only from the substituted meaning. The second is the T^5 phase-cell measure: Eq. (12) defines the electron reference state with Vol_5(Omega_core) = 1 (unit cube [0,1]^5), but Eq. (15) uses [0,pi]^5 for each proton cell. Applying Eq. (15)'s own rule to (p,q) = (1,1) gives pi^5, contradicting Eq. (12). Section 4.1's partition claim (total measure = domain measure) contradicts Eq. (15)'s summation of pq full copies. These drifts are load-bearing for the paper's two headline retrodictions (the proton-to-electron mass ratio and the Hubble shift), triggering the red-flag cap on internal consistency. The paper's mathematical strengths — Theorem 1's complete proof, careful dimensional analysis, and honest epistemic ledger — are real but do not rescue the central definitional inconsistencies. The score of 2 on internal consistency reflects the central nature of these drifts, while the score of 3 on mathematical validity reflects the soundness of the core mathematical structure (Theorem 1, the quarter-wave cavity, the hydrostatic law) despite the definitional issues affecting the Hubble shift and mass-ratio derivations.
The framework is internally well-organized and unusually transparent about separating constitutive postulates from retrodictive benchmarks and prospective predictions (Table 4), with correctly stated boundary conditions for its resonator, Poisson, and vorticity-PDE derivations. Each of its six headline results is derived through traceable steps from its own axioms, so no central derivation is simply asserted without support. However, a substantive gap emerges when weighing the paper's own stated motivations against its content: galactic rotation curves are invoked prominently in the Abstract and Introduction as a dark-sector anomaly the Plenum model is meant to address, yet no corresponding galaxy-scale derivation or data comparison appears anywhere in the body — a real instance of an unmet stated goal that should weigh against a top completeness score. Compounding this are several under-derived secondary quantities (the Section 5.3 synodic coupling coefficients, the undefined Bjerknes screening length, and the Table 3 navigation-error inputs) that are used as if established but are acknowledged only as 'calibrated.' Given the framework-submission context, the evidence roadmap is reasonably strong for the one genuinely prospective test (Europa Clipper) but weaker for the cosmological and solar-system claims, which function more as curve-fits to known values than independently falsifiable predictions, yielding moderate marks on both completeness and evidence strength.
This is a complete enough primary framework document to assess: its main internal program is presented in full, its stated assumptions are explicit, and its core results are not simply asserted without any in-document route from the premises. Its classification ledger is particularly useful for preventing retrodictive agreements from being represented as independent predictions.
The principal completeness limitation is not missing algebraic exposition but incomplete bridges from the framework to reproducible empirical adjudication. The document offers a notably good prospective target in Europa Clipper Doppler data, but it needs an analysis protocol suitable for independent application. More broadly, the galaxy-scale and joint cosmological-testing programs implied by the introduction should be developed in supporting papers, with parameter/anchor sensitivity studies and traceable sources for calibrated inputs. No supporting papers are currently linked, so these evidence paths remain proposed rather than demonstrated.
The Resonant Theory framework is exceptionally complete within its declared axiom set. All core variables are defined before use, boundary conditions are explicitly addressed, and the central derivations (mass ratio, Hubble shift, enstrophy bound, Newtonian gravity) are present and followable. The Master Classification Ledger is a model of transparency, proactively separating constitutive postulates from retrodictive benchmarks and prospective tests. The framework's evidence roadmap is strong: it identifies specific observable phenomena, makes quantitative predictions with specific targets, and provides a genuine prospective falsification test (Europa Clipper 2028-2030) with a detailed error budget. The main gaps are secondary: the galaxy-rotation motivation is not developed into a galaxy-scale test, the cosmological data-analysis pathway is incomplete, and some calibrated solar-system inputs lack derivation. These gaps prevent a perfect score but do not undermine the core argument's structural integrity. The framework is well-positioned to serve as a hub for future supporting papers.

The framework's dimensionless acoustic susceptibility and venting coefficient.
Constitutive Trefoil soliton expression for the proton-to-electron rest-energy ratio.
The proposed Leray–Helmholtz-projected, cubic-damped vorticity equation.
During Europa Clipper's 2028–2030 outer cruise at 4.0–5.2 AU, the framework predicts a sunward residual acceleration with midpoint (8.47 ± 0.34) × 10^-10 m s^-2.
Falsifiable if: The document states the claim is falsified if the measured residual satisfies |a_res| < 2.0 × 10^-10 m s^-2.
