The Resonant Theory: A Hydrodynamic Framework for the Quantum Plenum
The Resonant Theory: A Hydrodynamic Framework for the Quantum Plenum
The Resonant Theory (TRT) models the physical vacuum as a continuous, compressible Tisza-Landau two-fluid substrate (the Quantum Plenum) governed by two strictly dimensionless electro-hydrodynamic invariants derived from the fine-structure constant: the Universal Acoustic Susceptibility A_RT = alpha^-1 / e = 50.412727 and the equilibrium normal-fluid mass fraction beta_TRT = e / A_RT = 0.05392055. Conditioned on six explicitly declared constitutive postulates (P1-P6) and anchored to the local present-epoch wave speed c_0 = 2.99792458e8 m/s and carrier frequency f_0 = 76.4496 MHz (L_0 =…

The Resonant Theory (TRT) is an ambitious, unusually well-organized attempt to replace dark-sector cosmology with a two-fluid Tisza-Landau vacuum model governed by two invariants (A_RT, beta_TRT) derived from alpha and e. The panel's math specialists (four independent reviewers, high confidence, fully converged at 2/5 for both internal_consistency and mathematical_validity) identified a central, load-bearing flaw: Postulate P3 (Table 1) defines E_e as a phase-space energy DENSITY integrated over [0,pi]^5, yet Section 4.1-4.2 and Eq. (12)-(15) treat the unintegrated E_e as the electron's total rest energy in the mass-ratio denominator. Applied self-consistently, the electron's (1,1) soliton energy would be pi^5E_e, not E_e, meaning the celebrated 0.13 ppm proton/electron mass-ratio match (mu_TRT = 6pi^5 + (2/pi)beta_TRT = 1836.152436) is not actually derived from the stated functional as written. A second load-bearing gap, corroborated across all math reports, is that Proposition 1's attenuation law (d ln omega/d phi = -beta_TRT) is derived only at the resonance condition omegatau_0=1, yet Section 5.1 applies it as a path-independent cosmological redshift law to obtain the headline Hubble-tension result (Eq. 19-20, H_late,TRT = 73.11 km/s/Mpc). A third flagged gap is that the spacecraft impedance ratio in Eq. (33) (Z_cyc/A_eff = (2π+β)/(A_RT/π²)), which single-handedly fixes the Europa Clipper falsification band, is asserted under Postulate P5 with no derivation from the two-fluid momentum equations. These three issues (mass-ratio normalization, resonance-to-cosmological extension, and the undeirved impedance ratio) should be read as specific risk flags the author should address directly, rather than generic 'compressed derivation' commentary. On the positive side, all math specialists independently verified that Theorem 1 (the Leray-Helmholtz regularized vorticity enstrophy bound, Eqs. 24-32) is a genuinely correct, fully reproducible a priori estimate for smooth solutions, that the quarter-wave Neumann-Dirichlet eigenvalue problem (k_1*R_H=pi/2) is solved correctly, that the Poisson hydrostatic-to-Newtonian-gravity derivation (Eqs. 36-38) is algebraically sound, and that essentially all displayed arithmetic (pi^5, the Hubble shift, BAO scale, lunar recession, Oort estimate) recomputes correctly. The sources and science specialists converged that this is an unusually transparent framework: it explicitly separates postulates, retrodictions, calibrated consistency models, and a single genuine prospective falsification test (Europa Clipper 2028-2030) in a Master Classification Ledger (Table 4), which is commendable methodological practice rarely seen in speculative physics submissions. The falsifiability score of 4/5 reflects the empirical rubric applied to this physical_theory submission, weighted heavily toward the one genuinely forward-looking, quantitatively specified, near-term test (the Europa Clipper Doppler residual with an explicit error budget and falsification threshold), while most other 'predictions' (Hubble shift, BAO scale, mass ratio, lunar recession) are retrodictive fits using tunable anchors (f_0, N_4, N_5, planetary synodic coefficients) rather than independent a priori predictions. None of the math or science specialists penalized this work for departing from mainstream dark-matter/dark-energy consensus per se — the concerns raised are about internal derivational gaps and normalization inconsistencies specific to the framework's own stated postulates, which is the appropriate standard of evaluation here.

This work departs from mainstream consensus physics in the following ways. These are not penalties - they are informational flags that highlight where the author proposes alternative interpretations of physical phenomena. The scores below evaluate rigor, not orthodoxy.
- ◈Proposes a continuous, compressible two-fluid vacuum substrate (the Quantum Plenum) as a physical mechanism replacing non-baryonic dark matter and dark energy entirely.
- ◈Attributes the Hubble tension to a horizon-resonator acoustic attenuation mechanism rather than genuine late-time cosmic acceleration from a dark-energy field.
- ◈Attributes flat galactic rotation curves and outer heliospheric anomalies (implicitly, via the broader framework motivation) to normal-fluid vacuum attenuation rather than cold dark matter halos, though no explicit rotation-curve calculation is provided in this document.
- ◈Models elementary particles (electron, proton) as topological torus-knot solitons in a hydrodynamic vacuum medium rather than as point particles or string-theoretic excitations, assigning the proton-to-electron mass ratio to soliton winding geometry plus viscous boundary-layer coupling.
- ◈Proposes that the vacuum speed of light c_0 is a local present-epoch acoustic wave speed in a compressible medium, with cosmological redshift partly attributed to line-of-sight normal-fluid damping rather than purely to spacetime/metric expansion.
- ◈Predicts an anomalous sunward spacecraft acceleration (~8.47×10^-10 m/s^2) attributed to vacuum hydrodynamic impedance, analogous to but mechanistically distinct from the conventional (now thermally-explained) Pioneer anomaly.
Consensus re-evaluation. The strongest opposing position is the 5/5 assessment (DeepSeek-V4-Pro), which holds that 'the mass ratio derivation is consistent with the soliton energy functional' and that all definitions are used uniformly. I checked this directly against the text and it does not survive. Table 1 (P3) states the functional as \mathcal{H}{\text{sol}}(p,q) = \sum{j=1}^{pq}\int_{[0,\pi]^5} E_e,d^5\vartheta + \int_0^\pi \chi_n\frac{E_e}{\pi}\sin\theta,d\theta, which uses E_e as a phase-space energy DENSITY; Section 4.1 defines the same symbol as the electron's total rest energy m_e c_0^2 and assigns the electron indices (p,q)=(1,1); Eq. (12) then uses the un-integrated E_e as the denominator while Eq. (13) uses the integrated form in the numerator. The author asserts a unit reference ('\mathcal{V}e \equiv 1', '\mathcal{E}0 \equiv E_e per unit \mathbb{T}^5 measure') but never derives the electron's energy FROM the declared functional, nor demonstrates equivalence between the two normalizations. Per the rubric, an acknowledged-but-unproven normalization shift used in a later derivation is exactly the capped case, and here it is load-bearing for the headline 1836.152436 claim. I therefore agree with the three 2/5 assessments and move to 2. I also credit the opposing side partially: the paper is genuinely disciplined elsewhere. \beta{TRT} = \chi_n is used coherently across Proposition 1's three closures; the exact-vs-linear \delta^*/R roots are both carried explicitly rather than silently conflated; the Neumann/Dirichlet quarter-wave boundary conditions in Section 5.1 are stated and solved consistently, including the 3D cross-check; Theorem 1's scope qualification correctly disclaims the Clay problem; and Table 4's A/B/C/D ledger keeps epistemic categories straight. Secondary consistency tensions beyond the central drift: (a) Proposition 1's attenuation closure is derived only at \omega\tau_0=1 but applied in Section 5 as a universal cosmological photon law; (b) Section 7 labels the configuration 'hydrostatic' while Section 2.1's Euler equation \rho\partial_t\mathbf{u} = -\nabla P contains no body force, so a static P(r) with \nabla P \neq 0 is not reconciled with a steady background, and the barotropic P = c_0^2\rho of P1 is not checked against the uniform-\rho_0 used to divide in Eq. (38) nor against the source term 4\pi G\rho_0\rho_M in Eq. (36); (c) Eq. (23) introduces \Phi_0 \equiv 1^\circ as a dimensional unit phase angle, which sits uneasily with the repeated claim in Section 3.1 that A{RT} and \beta_{TRT} are 'strictly dimensionless pure numbers everywhere... never carrying degree, radian, or dimensional units' — though this is a Category C model and does not touch the core claims. None of this rescues the score above 2 given the central drift. A consensus round resolved an earlier panel split before this score was finalized.
I side with the three peers who scored 2 and reject the 5/5 assessment. The strongest opposing argument is DeepSeek's: that 'derivations are complete, correct, and reproducible' because the arithmetic of Eqs. (13)-(15), (19)-(20), (36)-(38) and all steps of Theorem 1 check out. I independently confirm every one of those numerical and algebraic checks — pi^5 = 306.0196848, 6pi^5 = 1836.118109, (2/pi)0.05392055 = 0.0343269, sum = 1836.152436; (pi/2)beta = 0.084698 and 67.401.084698 = 73.108; 4270.77/28 = 152.53; 6.5483(6.33711/5.10788) = 8.124 and 8.1241.0847 = 8.812; 710/50.412727 = 14.084; 3.92144*(1-0.026960) = 3.8157. Theorem 1 is genuinely correct: self-adjointness of P with Pomega = omega gives the quartic term in Eq. (27); Holder (4,4,2) plus ||grad u||_2 = ||omega||_2 gives Eq. (29); Young with epsilon = betatau_0 gives Eq. (31); Y' + D <= cY integrates to Y(t) + int D <= Y_0e^{ct}, matching Eq. (25); and Cauchy-Schwarz ||omega||_2^2 <= V^{1/2}||omega||_4^2 yields the logistic inequality and absorbing ball of Eqs. (26), (32), with the factorization in Eq. (32) verifying exactly. But correct arithmetic downstream of an underived or inconsistently normalized premise is not a complete derivation, and that is where DeepSeek's argument fails. It does not change my score. Three load-bearing steps are not derivable from the stated assumptions: (a) Eq. (15) requires mixing two incompatible meanings of E_e, so the 0.13 ppm match is selected rather than derived from P3; (b) Eq. (33)'s ratio (2pi + beta_TRT)/(A_RT/pi^2) is asserted with no dynamical derivation, yet it alone fixes the only prospective falsification band; (c) the conversion of Proposition 1's resonance-specific classical energy dissipation into a path-independent per-quantum frequency redshift, and the identification of the photon path phase with the cavity phase k_1r, are asserted, yet Eq. (20) depends wholly on them. Secondary unjustified stipulations compound this: lambda_rad ≡ R manufactures the 1-radian criterion whose only discriminating application (57.1367 deg vs 57.2958 deg) has a 0.3% margin; N_4 = 28 and 2N_5 = 100 are selected post hoc from the magic-number list; Eq. (17) applies a cubic exclusion-radius inflation to the FCC fraction without showing the packing geometry survives; and Eq. (36) imports G as an external constant, so Newtonian gravity is relabeled rather than derived from A_RT, beta_TRT, f_0. One genuinely valid theorem plus accurate arithmetic cannot lift the score above the cap imposed by unverified central derivations affecting the mass ratio, the Hubble resolution, and the Europa Clipper test. A consensus round resolved an earlier panel split before this score was finalized.
Empirical rubric applied. The framework states a specific, quantitative, near-term falsifiable prediction: a sunward residual acceleration of (8.47±0.34)×10^-10 m/s^2 during the 2028-2030 Europa Clipper outer cruise, with an explicit falsification threshold (<2.0×10^-10 m/s^2) and a documented error budget showing the predicted signal exceeds the 3σ navigation noise floor by more than an order of magnitude — this is a genuine, testable, near-term discriminating test, not operationally empty. The other headline numbers (mass ratio, Hubble shift, BAO scale, lunar recession) are retrodictions against already-measured quantities rather than novel out-of-sample predictions, and several rely on additional tunable anchors (f_0, N4, N5, planetary weighting coefficients) that reduce their independent predictive force. The combination of one strong forward test plus several retrodictions with hidden tuning freedom keeps this from a 5.
The document is unusually well structured for a broad framework: postulates are tabulated, equations are numbered, dimensional quantities are separated from dimensionless quantities, and Table 4 helpfully distinguishes anchors, retrodictions, calibrations, and prospective tests. A graduate-level reader can identify what the framework assumes and what numerical consequences are claimed. Clarity is limited by the very large number of explanatory analogies and applications, which can obscure the central empirical chain. In particular, the status of selected harmonic integers, empirical anchors, calibrated planetary weights, and postulates is not always visually distinct enough from independently constrained predictions. The paper would be more communicative if it placed a short dependency diagram and a one-page table separating fitted/selected inputs from genuinely out-of-sample observables near the introduction.
The overall synthesis — treating the vacuum as a Tisza-Landau two-fluid medium with a single electro-hydrodynamic invariant chain (A_RT, beta_TRT) unifying particle mass ratios, Hubble tension, BAO scale, gravity, and a regularized vorticity equation — is an ambitious and partly novel unification attempt, and the Europa Clipper test is a genuinely new, falsifiable consequence not derivable from mainstream ΛCDM or dark matter models. However, many of the individual components (two-fluid vacuum, Skyrmion-like topological solitons, analogue-gravity acoustic metrics) are directly imported from established prior work (Tisza, Landau, Volovik, Faddeev-Niemi) and properly cited, and several of the 'derivations' (e.g., 6π^5 plus a correction term tuned to match CODATA to 0.13 ppm, or f_0 calibrated via an 'octave' argument to simultaneously support Hubble and lunar-recession fits) have the structure of reverse-engineered numerical coincidences rather than independently motivated new mechanisms. This tempers the novelty score from the top range.
The framework is unusually self-aware about its own epistemic status: it explicitly separates postulates (Table 1) from retrodictive benchmarks, calibrated consistency models, and prospective falsification tests (Table 4), and it states scope qualifications for claims that could otherwise be overstated (e.g., the enstrophy theorem is explicitly distinguished from the Clay Millennium Problem; the mass-ratio match is explicitly flagged as exceeding CODATA uncertainty and classified as a leading-order approximation rather than exact identity). All major derivations proceed from stated postulates through to final results with intermediate steps shown, including a full Grönwall/Riccati proof for Theorem 1. Minor completeness gaps remain: the f_0 carrier-frequency anchor is acknowledged as a 'declared empirical anchor' with an unexplained 0.034% residual from first-principles octave scaling rather than a derived quantity, and the Section 5.3 planetary torque-balance calculation relies on multiple empirically fitted coupling coefficients (eta_syn,i) whose derivation is not given, reducing confidence that this sub-argument is non-circular (though it is explicitly labeled as a 'consistency model' rather than an ab initio prediction, which mitigates the concern).
In framework mode, the submission provides a strong evidence roadmap rather than experimental confirmation. It gives multiple decomposable quantitative targets: a proton/electron mass-ratio benchmark, a local-Hubble estimator shift, a BAO-scale target, lunar recession, and a prospective 2028–2030 Europa Clipper residual-acceleration test with a numerical band and stated falsification threshold. It also distinguishes retrospective agreement from the future test in its master ledger and links its motivations to identifiable observational domains. All 10 listed citations were verified as existing by the supplied reference-verification report. A score of 5 is not warranted because the roadmap lacks supporting papers and does not yet document the evidentiary basis, data products, analysis pipeline, parameter covariance treatment, or independent mission-navigation sources needed to substantiate the Europa error budget and several calibrated inputs. The score reflects quality of test planning, not confirmation that the framework's claims have been empirically established.
These are equations, theorem steps, or proof moves where math specialists identified compressed or unverified derivations. They are shown once here as the canonical deduplicated list so the review stays auditable without repeating the same flags in every math specialist report.
- highEq. (13), Sec. 4.2 (with P3 in Table 1) - The \mathbb{T}^5 soliton functional is never evaluated for the electron's own declared indices (1,1); the electron is normalized to unity by assertion while the proton is obtained by integration. No equivalence or derivation connects the two normalizations, so the headline ratio is not reproducible from the declared postulate.
If wrong: The flagship result \mu_{TRT} = 6\pi^5 + (2/\pi)\beta_{TRT} = 1836.152436 and its claimed 0.13 ppm agreement with CODATA would not follow from Postulate P3; the paper's most precise retrodiction would be unsupported.
- highEq. (13), Section 4.2 (with P3, Table 1) - The bare phase-space ratio M_geom = 6*pi^5 is obtained by integrating a density E_e over six copies of [0,pi]^5 and dividing by E_e treated as the electron's TOTAL rest energy. P3's own functional applied to the declared electron state (p,q)=(1,1) returns pi^5*E_e, so the self-consistent ratio is 6. No measure-preserving normalization or separate electron functional is supplied.
If wrong: The headline 0.13 ppm match to CODATA m_p/m_e (Eq. 15, Table 4 Category B) collapses; the framework's strongest numerical retrodiction becomes a selected rather than derived coincidence.
- highEq. (33), Sec. 6.3 - The dimensionless impedance ratio Z_cyc/A_eff is declared under P5 with no dynamical derivation: neither the cycle impedance 2\pi + \beta_{TRT} nor the division of A_{RT} by \pi^2 is obtained from the two-fluid momentum equations.
If wrong: The transition band [8.124, 8.812]x10^{-10} m s^{-2}, the midpoint (8.47 +/- 0.34)x10^{-10} m s^{-2}, and the entire Europa Clipper falsification test lose their theoretical basis; the paper would retain no prospective out-of-sample prediction.
- highEq. (33), Section 6.3 - The spacecraft ram-impedance acceleration is declared under P5 with no derivation of the impedance ratio Z_cyc/A_eff = (2 pi + beta_TRT)/(A_RT/pi^2). Neither the cycle impedance 2 pi + beta_TRT nor the reduced susceptibility A_RT/pi^2 is derived from the two-fluid equations.
If wrong: If the impedance ratio is not derivable from the two-fluid equations, the entire Europa Clipper prediction band [8.124, 8.812]e-10 m/s^2 is unsupported, and the only falsifiable prediction of the framework loses its theoretical foundation.
- highEq. (33); Section 6.3 - A dimensionless impedance ratio is declared in P5, but its multiplication by c₀H_early as a spacecraft force law is not derived from P1's fluid equations or a test-body coupling rule.
If wrong: The [8.124, 8.812]×10⁻¹⁰ m s⁻² band and the proposed prospective falsification threshold lose their displayed derivational basis.
- highEqs. (12)-(15), especially Eq. (13) - The declared T^5 soliton functional is not normalized consistently with the electron denominator used to call Eq. (15) a proton-to-electron mass ratio.
If wrong: The constitutive formula \mu_TRT=6\pi^5+(2/\pi)\beta_TRT cannot be established as m_p/m_e from P3 as written. The claimed CODATA-level mass-ratio benchmark and the abstract's first headline result are unsupported until the electron normalization and the applicability of the viscous term to each state are specified consistently.
- highEqs. (12)-(15), Section 4.2 - The proton-to-electron mass ratio derivation mixes two meanings of E_e: as the electron's total rest energy (denominator of Eq. 12) and as a phase-space energy density per unit T^5 measure (Eq. 13). Under the declared P3 functional applied to the electron (1,1), the electron geometric energy is pi^5 E_e, not E_e. The step from the P3 functional to the ratio 6 pi^5 + (2/pi) beta_TRT is not reproducible without an unstated normalization exception.
If wrong: If the electron normalization is pi^5 E_e rather than E_e, the mass ratio becomes 6 + (2/pi) beta_TRT / pi^5, which is approximately 6, not 1836. The headline 0.13 ppm match to CODATA is unsupported.
- highP3; Eqs. (12)–(15) - The electron's total reference energy is not obtained by applying the declared common soliton functional to its (1,1) indices.
If wrong: The interpretation of Eq. (15) as m_p/m_e, the flagship numerical benchmark, is unsupported.
- highP3/Table 1; Eqs. (12)-(15) - The soliton functional and the proton/electron ratio use incompatible normalizations of E_e. The paper does not derive why the electron's (1,1) torus functional equals E_e while each proton cell contributes pi^5 E_e.
If wrong: Eq. (15) is not established as m_p/m_e from P3; the claimed 0.13 ppm proton-electron benchmark loses its derivational basis.
- highP5; Eq. (33) - A dimensionless waveguide impedance ratio is multiplied by c_0H_early and identified with a spacecraft acceleration, without a momentum-transfer or spacecraft–medium coupling derivation.
If wrong: The magnitude of the prospective Doppler prediction lacks the claimed dynamical derivation; this is load-bearing.
- highProposition 1; Eqs. (8), (19)–(20) - Carrier-period and angular-frequency definitions do not satisfy the asserted carrier resonance; extension of resonance-specific classical energy damping to general photon-frequency damping is not derived.
If wrong: The damping coefficient used to infer Eqs. (19)–(20) is unsupported for the stated carrier and cosmological photon paths; the eigenvalue alone supplies no Hubble shift.
- highProposition 1(1) -> Eqs. (19)-(20), Section 5.1 - Extension of a resonance-specific (omega*tau_0 = 1) classical energy loss tangent to a universal, frequency-independent per-radian PHOTON FREQUENCY attenuation along cosmological paths, plus the unargued identification of the photon's propagation phase with the quarter-wave cavity phase phi = k_1*r. Neither the frequency-dependent loss tangent Q_n^{-1}(omega*tau_0) nor the exclusion of photon-number depletion is established.
If wrong: Eq. (20) and the claimed 0.07-sigma resolution of the Hubble tension are unsupported; the BAO scale of Eq. (21), which is built from H_late,TRT via the geometric mean, also fails.
- highProposition 1(1), Sec. 2.2, applied in Eqs. (19)-(20) - The per-radian attenuation law is derived only under the unit loss-tangent condition at \omega\tau_0 = 1 but is then used as a frequency-independent cosmological photon attenuation coefficient over the whole line of sight. Additionally, the conversion of dissipated classical wave energy into a per-photon frequency decrease (rather than photon-number loss) is asserted via an adiabatic-action argument that is not justified.
If wrong: H_{late,TRT} = H_{early}(1 + (\pi/2)\beta_{TRT}) = 73.11 km/s/Mpc and the claimed 0.07-sigma resolution of the Hubble tension would not follow; the geometric-mean BAO scale in Eq. (21), which is built on both endpoints, would also fail.
- highProposition 1(1); Eqs. (19)-(20) - A damping relation explicitly restricted to the carrier relaxation resonance is extended to cosmological photon paths without a frequency-dependent transport law, resonance-locking argument, or derivation equating photon propagation phase to the static cavity eigenphase.
If wrong: The quarter-wave eigenvalue remains correct, but it does not yield the claimed Hubble estimator shift or the quoted 73.11 km s^-1 Mpc^-1 result.
- highProposition 1(1); Eqs. (19)–(20) - A loss coefficient specified at carrier relaxation resonance is applied to cosmological photons without a demonstrated resonance condition or general-frequency law.
If wrong: The attenuation contribution to Eq. (20) and its claimed Hubble shift do not follow; this is load-bearing.
- highSection 4.1; Eq. (13) - Six nodal subcells of one two-dimensional fundamental domain are counted as six integrations over full five-dimensional half-period domains; a construction justifying that cell measure is not supplied.
If wrong: The geometric term on which Eq. (15) primarily depends is not established by the stated nodal count.
- mediumEq. (18) - The Bernoulli threshold establishes a nucleation condition under the stated pressure assumptions, but no energy accounting derives the same fixed rest mass μ₀ for every packet above threshold.
If wrong: The calculated threshold scale can remain valid as a definition, but Eq. (18)'s complete mass-versus-energy law does not follow.
- mediumEq. (23), Section 5.3 - The Oort mass balance relies on Phi_0 = 1 degree as the dimensional unit phase angle. The result M_Oort = 14.08 M_oplus is unit-dependent: replacing the arbitrary degree with a radian changes the answer by a factor of approximately 57.3. This contradicts the paper's repeated assertion that A_RT is 'strictly dimensionless... never carrying degree or radian units'.
If wrong: The Oort mass consistency estimate is unit-dependent and has no predictive content. This is a Category C consistency model, so it does not affect the central claims, but it contradicts the 'strictly dimensionless' assertion.
- mediumEq. (24), velocity-level force statement - The proposed velocity-level force does not have the curl required to produce Eq. (24)'s projected vorticity damping.
If wrong: The claimed velocity-level realization of the vorticity equation is incorrect; the separately proved conditional enstrophy estimate is not thereby disproved.
- mediumEqs. (36)-(38), Sec. 7 - The static pressure profile is not reconciled with the Euler equation declared in Sec. 2.1 (which contains no body force), nor is the barotropic equation of state P = c_0^2\rho of P1 reconciled with the uniform background \rho_0 used to divide in Eq. (38) and with the independent source term in Eq. (36).
If wrong: The claim that Newtonian gravity is reproduced by the Plenum rather than merely re-expressed would fail; since G enters Eq. (36) as an external constant, the gravitational sector would remain a relabeling rather than a derivation.
- mediumP1; Eqs. (36)–(38) - The exact-acceleration wording uses ρ_0 where the declared barotropic equation of state implies a spatially varying density in the pressure sink.
If wrong: The inverse-square result remains a linearized consequence of P6, but not an exact fluid-level result under P1.
- mediumProposition 1, Section 2.2, applied in Section 5.1 - Proposition 1 derives the per-radian attenuation rate d ln omega/d phi = -beta_TRT only at the resonance condition omega tau_0 = 1. Section 5.1 applies this as a path-independent cosmological photon attenuation law integrated over the quarter-wave horizon phase [0, pi/2], without deriving a frequency-dependent constitutive law or demonstrating that the resonance condition holds along the entire path.
If wrong: If the attenuation rate is frequency-dependent and only equals beta_TRT at resonance, the Hubble shift prediction H_late = H_early(1 + pi/2 beta_TRT) is unsupported. This is a central retrodictive benchmark.
- mediumProposition 1, Section 2.2; Eqs. (19)-(20), Section 5.1 - The per-radian attenuation rate d ln omega/dphi = -beta_TRT is derived only at the resonance condition omega*tau_0 = 1. Section 5.1 applies it as a path-independent cosmological photon attenuation law along arbitrary photon paths without deriving a frequency-dependent constitutive law or demonstrating resonance locking.
If wrong: The Hubble shift result H_late = H_early*(1 + (pi/2)*beta_TRT) depends on this unproved extension; if the attenuation rate is frequency-dependent, the +8.47% shift is unsupported.
- mediumProposition 1(1) - Classical wave-energy dissipation is identified with a frequency reduction of each surviving number-conserving photon; the required number-conserving transfer mechanism is stipulated rather than derived from the two-fluid equations.
If wrong: Classical damping cannot supply the photon-redshift law needed by the Hubble calculation.
- mediumProposition 1(1) and Eqs. (19)-(20) - A closure stated specifically at the carrier relaxation resonance is used as a universal cosmological photon attenuation law without a derivation of resonance locking or an off-resonance constitutive law.
If wrong: The integration leading to eta_TRT=(pi/2)beta_TRT and H_late,TRT=H_early(1+(pi/2)beta_TRT) is not established. This affects the Hubble-shift and BAO benchmark chain, but not the standalone PDE theorem.
- mediumSection 4.3, 1-radian criterion - The wavelength-to-core-radius identification that sets the numerical stability threshold is stipulated rather than derived from a radial mode or boundary condition.
If wrong: The proposed geometric separation of the N=12 and N=13 shell configurations is unsupported.
- mediumSection 4.3, one-radian criterion - The core's radial wavelength is set equal to its radius, and wavelength separation is promoted to an if-and-only-if stability threshold without a radial eigenproblem or stability calculation.
If wrong: The asserted 12-versus-13 acoustic stability distinction is unsupported.
- mediumSection 4.4; Eq. (18) - A Bernoulli pressure threshold is converted into a discontinuous, constant rest-mass assignment without deriving the energy retention or topological locking rule.
If wrong: The specific step-function mass law, though dimensionally homogeneous, is not established by the cavitation threshold.
- mediumSection 5.1; Eqs. (19)–(20) - The horizon pressure node and observer antinode are prescribed, not obtained from a two-fluid boundary model. The eigenvalue is conditional on them.
If wrong: A different boundary model need not give π/2, so the coefficient used in the Hubble shift changes.
- mediumSection 6.1, parenthetical velocity-level realization after Eq. (24) - The asserted velocity-level force contains an extra curl and does not produce the vorticity damping term in Eq. (24) when curl is applied.
If wrong: The claimed velocity-level interpretation is not a realization of Eq. (24) as written. The independent enstrophy proof for the stipulated vorticity PDE is unaffected.
- mediumSection 6.1, velocity-level force following Eq. (24) - The proposed velocity-level damping force has a curl different from Eq. (24)'s damping term.
If wrong: The suggested velocity-level realization does not establish that the proposed vorticity equation follows from that momentum force; the independent a priori estimate for Eq. (24) is unaffected.
- mediumSection 7, Eqs. (36)-(38) - The hydrostatic gravity derivation is internally tense. Eq. (38) is labeled 'hydrostatic', but the Euler equation of Section 2.1 (rho partial_t u = -grad P, no body force) with grad P = +rho_0 GM/r^2 r_hat implies the background Plenum itself must accelerate inward at exactly g. No steady-state continuity treatment reconciling a static P(r) with that forced inflow is given. Additionally, P = c_0^2 rho (P1) together with Eq. (37) implies a density depletion delta rho/rho_0 = -GM/(r c_0^2) that is never checked against the uniform rho_0 assumption used to divide by rho_0 in Eq. (38).
If wrong: If the hydrostatic configuration is not self-consistent, the derivation of Newtonian gravity from the pressure-depletion law is incomplete. However, this is a secondary claim (Category B retrodictive benchmark), not the central mass-ratio or falsifiable prediction.
- mediumTable 3; Section 6.3 - The prospective Doppler residual floor is assigned component uncertainties without a navigation covariance calculation establishing them or their independence.
If wrong: The stated sensitivity and numerical falsification significance would not be established, even if the theoretical acceleration were correct.
- lowEq. (17), Section 4.3 - The effective void-fraction expression assumes an effective-exclusion-radius model that is not derived from the preceding annular area-fraction calculation.
If wrong: The approximately 20% effective void fraction is an unsupported effective-model output; it does not affect the PDE proof, pressure-law algebra, or the primary Hubble calculation.
- lowEq. (23), Sec. 5.3 - The result depends on an arbitrarily chosen unit phase angle \Phi_0 = 1 degree, which sits in tension with the repeated claim that A_{RT} is strictly dimensionless and never carries degree or radian units; the planetary coupling weights are calibrated inputs.
If wrong: Only the Category C Oort mass consistency model is affected; the author already classifies it as calibrated rather than ab initio.
- lowSec. 4.3, item 1 (effective interstitial void fraction) - The step from the annular sheath thickness of Proposition 1(2) to an effective hydrodynamic exclusion radius whose cube rescales the close-packing occupied fraction is a modeling choice, not a consequence of the preceding annular-area calculation; no justification is given for retaining the same packing geometry under radius inflation.
If wrong: Only the ~20% void-fraction benchmark (Category B, secondary) would be affected; no central claim depends on it.
- lowSec. 4.3, item 2 (1-radian criterion) - The stability threshold is manufactured by the stipulation that the central core's fundamental radial standing wavelength equals its radius; this identification is asserted rather than derived from any eigenvalue problem.
If wrong: Only the nuclear shell/fission stability discussion (Category B, secondary) would fail; the discriminating margin between the N=12 and N=13 Tammes angles is under 0.3%, so the conclusion is sensitive to the stipulation.
- lowSec. 6.1, parenthetical following Eq. (24) - The claimed velocity-level momentum damping force corresponding to the projected cubic vorticity term is asserted without showing that its curl reproduces the term appearing in Eq. (24).
If wrong: Only the physical interpretation of Eq. (24) as arising from a momentum-equation force would be affected; Theorem 1's proof operates directly on Eq. (24) and would be unaffected.
- lowSection 4.3; Eq. (17) - An annular area fraction is used to assign an effective exclusion radius and rescale a fixed FCC occupied fraction; the packing step is not derived from the annular calculation.
If wrong: The approximately 20% void-fraction benchmark loses its stated geometric basis.
- lowSection 5.2; Eq. (21) - The geometric-mean rate is said to correspond to the midpoint phase, although it differs from the value of the preceding linear-in-phase attenuation rate at that phase.
If wrong: The midpoint-phase rationale for the BAO scale is inaccurate; the geometric-mean calculation itself remains a defined modeling choice.
- lowSection 6.1, parenthetical after Verification item 1 of Eq. (24) - The claimed velocity-level momentum damping force is stated without showing it curls back to the vorticity damping term, and the vector identity used drops a u*(div omega) term before div omega = 0 has been established at that point in the argument.
If wrong: Nothing central fails; Theorem 1 operates entirely at the vorticity level and does not use the velocity-level form.
- lowSection 6.1, parenthetical velocity-level correspondence after Eq. (24) - The asserted velocity-level damping force does not have the stated vorticity damping as its curl.
If wrong: The vorticity equation (24) can still be stipulated and its displayed enstrophy proof remains an analysis of that stipulated equation. What fails is the claimed direct velocity-level/momentum-force realization of the vorticity damping term.
These flags compare the submission's headline wording with what its body establishes. They are not mathematical-error findings.
Claimed: 'the constitutive proton-to-electron rest-energy ratio mu_TRT = 6pi^5 + (2/pi)beta_TRT = 1836.152436 approximates the CODATA 2022 value ... to 0.13 ppm', presented as following from the declared T^5 soliton energy functional.
Established: An arithmetic evaluation of 6pi^5 + (2/pi)beta. The declared functional, applied self-consistently to the electron reference (p,q)=(1,1), returns pi^5 rather than 1, so the ratio the functional actually defines is 6, not 6pi^5; the pi^5 factor survives only because the proton is normalized by the literal electron rest energy while the electron is not normalized by the functional.
The headline result does not follow from P3 as stated; it follows from a normalization mismatch between numerator and denominator, plus an unstated rad^5 measure convention.
Claimed: The constitutive 5-torus functional establishes the proton-to-electron rest-energy ratio to 0.13 ppm.
Established: The displayed integration produces the stated number when divided by the independently specified E_e.
P3 does not give its designated (1,1) electron that denominator; the numerical agreement is not an internally normalized soliton mass ratio as written.
Claimed: The quarter-wave mode predicts the apparent local Hubble shift.
Established: The boundary-value problem fixes π/2; the shift additionally assumes a photon-transfer and damping law applicable along cosmological paths.
The mode spectrum alone does not fix photon frequency attenuation, and the stated relaxation condition is not satisfied at the declared carrier frequency.
Claimed: Abstract and Table 4 present mu_TRT = 6*pi^5 + (2/pi)*beta_TRT as a constitutive derivation from the declared T^5 soliton functional, matching CODATA to 0.13 ppm.
Established: The numerator is computed from the P3 functional while the denominator E_e is normalized to unity by assertion; the functional is never evaluated for the electron's own declared (1,1) indices, so the ratio is not shown to follow from P3.
The derivation is presented as a consequence of a single declared functional, but it in fact requires an additional, undeclared and unproven electron normalization convention that is incompatible with applying the same functional at (p,q)=(1,1).
Claimed: The abstract and conclusion state that the framework establishes the proton-to-electron ratio and predicts the apparent local Hubble shift.
Established: The body supplies arithmetic conditional on a selected torus normalization and a correct quarter-wave eigenvalue conditional on stated boundary conditions, but it does not reconcile the electron normalization in P3 or derive the resonance-to-cosmological-photon attenuation bridge.
The numerical matches are presented as derived framework consequences, although their load-bearing normalization and transport identifications are not established by the displayed prior equations.
Claimed: 'a linearized Poisson hydrostatic pressure-depletion law reproduces Newton's inverse-square law'.
Established: That setting nabla^2 P = 4 pi G rho_0 rho_M (i.e. P = rho_0 Phi with Phi the Newtonian potential) and then forming -(1/rho_0) nabla P returns g = -GM/r^2 r-hat.
Newton's law is inserted via P6 by relabeling the Newtonian potential and importing G as an external constant; nothing about G, the inverse-square form, or the coupling strength is derived from the two-fluid parameters (A_RT, beta_TRT, f_0, nu_0). The static pressure field is also not shown to be a consistent solution of the Sec. 2.1 Euler equation, which with no body force would force the background Plenum to accelerate inward.
Claimed: The Europa Clipper band (8.47 +/- 0.34) x 10^-10 m s^-2 is presented in the abstract and Table 4 as a 'pre-registered prospective out-of-sample falsification test' of the framework.
Established: A number obtained by multiplying c_0 H_early by an undeclared-origin ratio (2pi + beta)/(A_RT/pi^2) and then by (1 + (pi/2)beta); the band's midpoint and half-width are exact consequences of those two factors only.
Falsifiability requires that the predicted value be forced by the framework. Since Eq. (33)'s impedance ratio is asserted without derivation, a null result could be absorbed by revising the ratio; conversely the close match to the Pioneer residual suggests the ratio was reverse-engineered to approximately 8 x 10^-10 m s^-2.
Claimed: The regularized vorticity PDE admits a complete global L2 enstrophy bound.
Established: Theorem 1 proves an a priori finite-time bound for any smooth solution on a stipulated interval and a torus absorbing estimate, not global existence of smooth solutions.
The abstract's wording can be read more strongly than the conditional theorem statement. The theorem itself appropriately says 'for any smooth solution.'
Claimed: The constitutive framework predicts the Europa Clipper acceleration band.
Established: The band is arithmetically obtained after stipulating a spacecraft acceleration proportional to c₀H_early times P5's impedance ratio.
A fluid-to-spacecraft coupling or equation of motion yielding that proportionality is not shown.
Claimed: The quarter-wave construction predicts the +8.47% apparent local Hubble shift.
Established: The 1D boundary-value problem yields the phase interval pi/2, and the numerical shift follows conditionally if the resonance attenuation law with coefficient beta_TRT applies unchanged to cosmological photons.
The attenuation derivation is explicitly made at omega tau_0=1, but the cosmological application does not establish that condition or an extension beyond it.
Claimed: The +8.47% Hubble estimator shift follows from normal-fluid attenuation integrated over the quarter-wave horizon phase.
Established: Proposition 1 establishes the per-radian attenuation coefficient only at the relaxation resonance omega*tau_0 = 1; its application as a universal, frequency-independent photon attenuation law along cosmological paths is assumed, not derived.
An approximation valid at a single resonance condition is escalated to an exact, path-independent cosmological law without a frequency-dependent constitutive extension or a resonance-locking argument.
Claimed: A classical Bernoulli cavitation mass floor mu_0 = A_RT*h*f_0/c_0^2 = 2.8414e-41 kg.
Established: The body derives this as a threshold step function under the declared Bernoulli cavitation condition. The arithmetic is correct conditional on the declared E_cav = A_RT h f_0.
The abstract states the mass floor as an established result, but the body explicitly qualifies it as a classical hydrodynamic mechanism rather than a constructive QFT proof. This is a framing gap, not a mathematical error.
Claimed: Abstract and Section 6.3: a 'pre-registered 2028-2030 Europa Clipper outer-cruise Doppler falsification test (a_plenum = 8.47 +/- 0.34 x 10^-10 m/s^2)' framed as a quantitative prediction of the framework.
Established: The band is arithmetically consistent with the asserted ratio (2*pi+beta_TRT)/(A_RT/pi^2), but that ratio is declared under P5 with no derivation from the two-fluid dynamics, and no spacecraft equation of motion appears anywhere in the document. The Table 3 3-sigma floor of 0.65e-10 m/s^2 is likewise an asserted budget, not derived from a navigation covariance model.
A falsifiable prediction requires that the predicted number be fixed by the theory. Here the number is fixed by an unmotivated stipulated ratio, so a null Clipper result would falsify P5's ad hoc closure rather than the Plenum hypothesis.
Claimed: A pre-registered 2028-2030 Europa Clipper outer-cruise Doppler falsification test (a_plenum = 8.47 +/- 0.34 x 10^-10 m/s^2).
Established: The numerical band is computed from Eq. (33), but the impedance ratio Z_cyc/A_eff = (2*pi + beta_TRT)/(A_RT/pi^2) is asserted under Postulate P5 without derivation from the two-fluid equations.
The abstract presents the falsification band as a derived prediction, but the central constitutive factor fixing the band is an unmotivated ansatz.
Claimed: The pressure-depletion model reproduces Newton's inverse-square law exactly.
Established: It reproduces that law with the stated constant-background-density linearization and an externally supplied G.
The exact wording exceeds the variable-density barotropic calculation.
Strengths
- Theorem 1's Leray-Helmholtz regularized vorticity enstrophy bound (Eqs. 24-32) is independently verified by all math specialists as a correct, fully reproducible a priori L2 estimate for smooth solutions on R^3 and T^3, with properly executed Hölder, Young, and Grönwall/Riccati steps.
- Exceptional methodological transparency via the Master Classification Ledger (Table 4), which explicitly separates declared postulates (Category A), retrodictive benchmarks (Category B), calibrated consistency models (Category C), and the single prospective falsification test (Category D).
- The Europa Clipper 2028-2030 Doppler test is a genuinely quantitative, near-term, falsifiable prediction with an itemized non-gravitational error budget (Table 3) and explicit falsification threshold (<2.0e-10 m/s^2), rare among speculative frameworks.
- The quarter-wave Neumann-Dirichlet Helmholtz resonator derivation (Section 5.1) and the Poisson-to-Newtonian-gravity derivation (Section 7, Eqs. 36-38) are both correctly solved under their stated boundary conditions and postulates.
- The document is well structured with consistent notation, dimensional bookkeeping separated from dimensionless invariants (Table 2), and accessible 'Physical Picture' framing before each formal section.
Areas for Improvement
- Resolve the E_e normalization inconsistency between Postulate P3 (where E_e is a per-unit-T^5 energy density whose integral over [0,pi]^5 for the electron's (1,1) soliton would yield pi^5*E_e) and Eqs. (12)-(15) (which use unintegrated E_e as the electron's total rest energy in the mass-ratio denominator). As currently written, self-consistent application of P3 yields a ratio of 6, not 1836.152436, per the math specialists' analysis — this is the single most consequential issue in the paper and should be addressed with an explicit, derived electron normalization rather than an asserted unit reference.
- Derive, rather than assert, the extension of Proposition 1's resonance-specific attenuation closure (valid only at omega*tau_0=1) to the path-independent cosmological photon redshift law used in Eq. (19)-(20) to obtain the Hubble-tension resolution; also justify the identification of photon propagation phase with the static cavity phase k_1*r.
- Provide a dynamical derivation (from the two-fluid momentum/transport equations) of the impedance ratio Z_cyc/A_eff = (2π+β_TRT)/(A_RT/π²) in Eq. (33), since this single unmotivated ratio fixes the entire Europa Clipper falsification band — currently the paper's only out-of-sample prospective test.
- Clarify the reconciliation between Section 7's static hydrostatic pressure-depletion field (requiring nonzero ∇P in steady state) and Section 2.1's Euler equation (ρ∂_tu = -∇P with no body force or barotropic closure shown to support a stationary nonzero gradient).
- Address the secondary concerns flagged across specialists: the carrier frequency f_0 anchor's unexplained 0.034% octave-scaling residual, the empirically fitted planetary synodic coupling coefficients (η_syn,i) in Section 5.3 that yield suspiciously round degree values, and the dimensional tension around Φ_0=1° in Eq. (23) given the claim that A_RT is 'strictly dimensionless... never carrying degree, radian, or dimensional units.'
- Provide a broader cosmological cross-check (supernova distance-redshift relation, CMB anisotropies, structure growth, lensing) beyond matching two single Hubble-constant point estimates, as the science specialist noted this is necessary to establish genuine consistency with ΛCDM-era observables.
Suggested Additional Papers
- No supporting papers are currently linked to this framework. During Europa Clipper outer cruise in 2028–2030, the model predicts a sunward residual acceleration of (8.47 ± 0.34) × 10^-10 m s^-2 across the stated radial transition band.
Falsifiable if: The paper specifies falsification if the measured residual acceleration has magnitude below 2.0 × 10^-10 m s^-2.
The quarter-wave horizon attenuation model predicts an apparent local Hubble rate of 73.11 km s^-1 Mpc^-1 from an early-universe value of 67.40 km s^-1 Mpc^-1.
Falsifiable if: The prediction would be disfavored if the corresponding local distance-ladder Hubble estimator were inconsistent with 73.11 km s^-1 Mpc^-1 under the model's stated assumptions.
The framework predicts a proton-to-electron mass ratio of 1836.152436 from its declared soliton and boundary-layer functional.
Falsifiable if: The proposed numerical relation is inconsistent with the measured ratio beyond its stated approximation if the predicted value fails to agree with the empirical value at the claimed 0.13 ppm level.
The framework predicts a BAO scale of 152.53 Mpc from its geometric-mean cavity scale and N4 = 28 shell closure.
Falsifiable if: The prediction is inconsistent with the observed BAO scale if the measured comoving sound horizon does not overlap the predicted value within the model's stated comparison range.

The Resonant Theory: A Hydrodynamic Framework for the Quantum Plenum
Author: Justin Time Miller
Version: 4.0
Date: October 2026
Abstract
Contemporary theoretical physics relies on non-baryonic dark-sector parameterizations—dark matter and dark energy—to reconcile macroscopic cosmological observations with the Standard Model. This paper formulates a physical framework that replaces the empty inviscid vacuum with a continuous, compressible, two-fluid hydrodynamic substrate termed the Quantum Plenum, modeled on the Tisza–Landau two-fluid formalism of superfluid 3He and 4He [1, 2, 5]. From the electromagnetic fine-structure constant α and natural logarithmic attenuation e, we define two strictly dimensionless hydrodynamic coupling invariants: the Universal Acoustic Susceptibility ART=α−1/e=50.412727 and its reciprocal damping ratio, the Acoustic Venting Coefficient βTRT=e/ART=0.05392055, which defines the equilibrium normal-fluid mass fraction χn≡ρn,0/ρ0=βTRT. Conditioning on explicitly declared constitutive postulates and discrete topological/harmonic indices (Table 1) and anchoring to the local present-epoch acoustic wave speed c0=2.99792458×108 m s−1 and carrier frequency f0=7.64496×107 Hz (L0=c0/f0=3.92144 m), we establish a dimensionally homogeneous system of characteristic Plenum scales (Table 2) for kinematic viscosity (ν0=c0L0/ART=2.3320×107 m2s−1), relaxation time (τ0=f0−1=1.30805×10−8 s), and minimum cavitation energy (Ecav=ARThf0=2.5537×10−24 J). Within this constitutive framework: (1) under a declared 5-torus soliton rest-energy functional on T5 with (p,q)=(2,3) Trefoil knot multiplicity Ncells=pq=6 and normal-fluid Stokes boundary-layer energy fraction π2βTRT, the constitutive proton-to-electron rest-energy ratio μTRT=6π5+π2βTRT=1836.152436 approximates the CODATA 2022 value 1836.15267343(11) to 0.13 ppm (∣Δμ∣=2.37×10−4); (2) a dimensionally homogeneous Bernoulli cavitation threshold m(Ek)=μ0Θ(Ek/Ecav−1) defines a classical hydrodynamic mass floor μ0=Ecav/c02=2.8414×10−41 kg; (3) introducing the solenoidal Leray–Helmholtz projected cubic venting term −βTRTτ0P(∣ω∣2ω) into the 3D vorticity equation preserves ∇⋅ω=0 identically and admits a complete a priori global L2 enstrophy bound for smooth solutions on R3 and T3 (Theorem 1); (4) solving the 1D line-of-sight quarter-wave Helmholtz resonator δP′′(r)+k2δP(r)=0 with Neumann antinode δP′(0)=0 and Dirichlet horizon node δP(RH)=0 yields δP(r)=δP0cos(kr) with exact fundamental eigenvalue k1RH=π/2, predicting a +8.47% apparent local Hubble shift (Hlate, TRT=Hearly(1+2πβTRT)=73.11 km s−1Mpc−1 from Hearly=67.40 km s−1Mpc−1) and geometric-mean BAO scale λBAO=152.53 Mpc; (5) a linearized Poisson hydrostatic pressure-depletion law ∇2P=4πGρ0ρM reproduces Newton's inverse-square law g=−ρ01∇P=−r2GMr^ with exact outward pressure gradient drdP=+r2ρ0GM>0; and (6) a Master Classification Ledger (Table 4) separates retrodictive benchmarks (including lunar recession r˙net=3.816 cm yr−1) from a prospective out-of-sample 2028–2030 Europa Clipper Doppler falsification test (aˉplenum=(8.47±0.34)×10−10 m s−2 across the radial transition band [8.124,8.812]×10−10 m s−2).
1. Introduction & Literature Positioning
1.1 Physical Picture: Space as an Acoustic Two-Fluid Medium
To grasp the core physical intuition of The Resonant Theory (TRT) before entering its formal differential equations, consider the difference between an empty geometric stage and a submerged acoustic chamber. In standard cosmology and quantum theory, empty space is treated as a frictionless void; when galaxies rotate faster than visible matter allows, or when distant supernovae appear dimmer than early-universe expansion predicts, invisible "dark matter" particles and repulsive "dark energy" fields must be added to balance the equations. TRT investigates a mechanical alternative: what we call "empty space" is modeled as a continuous, compressible two-fluid medium—the Quantum Plenum—analogous to laboratory superfluid helium (3He and 4He). At equilibrium, 94.61% of this medium acts as an inviscid superfluid condensate (ρs,0/ρ0=1−βTRT) that transmits electromagnetic and gravitational waves without shear resistance, while the remaining 5.39% (χn=ρn,0/ρ0=βTRT=0.05392055) acts as a viscous "normal fluid" boundary component. Just as a vortex ring in liquid helium is a self-sustaining topological structure of the fluid itself, elementary particles in TRT are modeled as quantized toroidal vortex solitons in the Plenum, while macroscopic orbital and cosmological residuals emerge from the 5.39% normal-fluid attenuation and standing-wave boundary geometry of the medium.
1.2 The Cosmological Crisis and Theoretical Lineage
The persistent tension between quantum field theory and general relativity has required auxiliary dark-sector parameterizations across cosmological scales. Late-time cosmic acceleration and the 5σ Hubble tension between early-universe Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) inferences (Hearly=67.40±0.50 km s−1Mpc−1 [8]) and local Type Ia supernova distance-ladder measurements (Hlate=73.04±1.04 km s−1Mpc−1 [9]) are conventionally attributed to dark energy (Λ), while flat galactic rotation curves [7] and outer heliospheric angular-momentum residuals are attributed to cold dark matter halos.
Rather than introducing new particle species, The Resonant Theory (TRT) investigates whether these anomalies can be organized within a single constitutive hypothesis: that the physical vacuum acts as a compressible, two-fluid electro-hydrodynamic substrate. This inquiry synthesizes three established physics lineages while introducing an explicit normal-fluid dissipation closure:
- Superfluid Vacuum & Analogue Gravity Theories: Following Tisza (1938) [1] and Landau (1941) [2], Volovik (2003) [5] showed that quasiparticles in superfluid 3He-A reproduce emergent Lorentz invariance, gauge fields, and effective acoustic metrics [4]. However, standard superfluid-vacuum models treat the vacuum ground state as strictly inviscid (ν=0) below the Landau critical velocity, providing no quantitative mechanism for secular orbital drag or cosmological redshift attenuation.
- Topological Soliton Models of Baryons: Following Kelvin's vortex-atom hypothesis and Skyrme's (1961) nonlinear meson theory [3], Faddeev and Niemi (1997) [6] demonstrated that knotted toroidal vortex solitons—specifically the (2,3) Trefoil knot 31—emerge as stable energy minima in three-dimensional field theories, though standard Skyrmion models require tunable coupling parameters to match empirical baryon-to-lepton mass ratios.
- Methodological Transparency & Separation of Postulates from Predictions: TRT models the vacuum as a viscous-normal plus inviscid-superfluid two-component substrate governed by two dimensionless electro-hydrodynamic invariants, ART=α−1/e=50.412727 and βTRT=e/ART=0.05392055. To maintain strict distinction between constitutive axioms, discrete topological/harmonic integers, retrodictive benchmarks, and prospective out-of-sample predictions, Section 2 declares all six foundational postulates (P1–P6) in Table 1, and Section 8 classifies every quantitative claim in Table 4.
2. Foundational Postulates, Two-Fluid Constitutive Equations & Closure Relations for βTRT
Physical Picture: Why does a single dimensionless number, βTRT=0.05392055, appear across the boundary-layer skin of a subatomic proton, the damping of a spinning fluid vortex, and the attenuation of light across cosmological distances? Within the Tisza–Landau two-fluid framework, all three effects represent standard constitutive closures of the equilibrium normal-fluid mass fraction (χn=5.392%). At the medium's characteristic relaxation resonance (ωτ0=1), the 5.392% normal-fluid fraction sets the per-radian wave attenuation rate; in a spinning vortex tube, centrifugal phase separation expels that same 5.392% normal-fluid fraction into an annular boundary sheath of leading-order thickness δ∗/R≈21βTRT=2.696% (exact nonlinear root 1−1−βTRT=2.733%); and in high-vorticity cores, Hall–Vinen mutual friction proportional to χn vents excess spin into acoustic waves. Proposition 1 formalizes these three constitutive closure relations.
2.1 State Variables and Tisza–Landau Two-Fluid Decomposition
Postulate P1 (Two-Fluid Quantum Plenum): Physical space is occupied by a continuous, compressible two-fluid substrate described at every spacetime point (x,t) by the Tisza–Landau mass and momentum decomposition [1, 2]: \begin{equation} \rho(\mathbf{x}, t) = \rho_s(\mathbf{x}, t) + \rho_n(\mathbf{x}, t), \qquad \mathbf{j}(\mathbf{x}, t) = \rho_s \mathbf{u}_s + \rho_n \mathbf{u}_n \tag{1} \end{equation} where:
- ρs [kg m−3] and us [m s−1] denote the density and velocity field of the superfluid condensate component, which is irrotational outside quantized vortex cores (∇×us=0) and has zero intrinsic shear viscosity (ηs=0);
- ρn [kg m−3] and un [m s−1] denote the density and velocity field of the normal viscous component, which carries thermal/acoustic excitations and dynamic shear viscosity ηn=ρnν0.
At the present cosmological epoch (t=t0, redshift z=0), the undisturbed background Plenum has uniform total density ρ0=ρs,0+ρn,0, equilibrium normal-fluid mass fraction χn≡ρn,0/ρ0=βTRT=0.05392055, and barotropic equation of state P(ρ)=c02ρ. Linearizing the mass continuity equation ∂tρ+∇⋅(ρu)=0 and Euler momentum equation ρ∂tu=−∇P around ρ0 yields the wave equation ∂t2δρ−c02∇2δρ=0, where the present-epoch local longitudinal acoustic wave speed is the invariant vacuum speed of light: \begin{equation} c_0 = \sqrt{\left.\frac{\partial P}{\partial \rho}\right|_{\rho_0}} = 2.99792458 \times 10^8\text{ m s}^{-1} \quad [\text{L T}^{-1}] \tag{2} \end{equation}
Operational Distinction Between Present-Epoch Local c0 and Cosmological Lookback Attenuation: Throughout this framework, c0 is a fixed, invariant local constant at the present epoch (z=0) used in all atomic, laboratory, and solar-system equations (preserving the constancy of α in Section 3.1). Over cosmological lookback paths (z>0), normal-fluid Stokes–Kirchhoff damping along the line of sight attenuates propagating photon frequency ω(r) without altering local present-day c0, as formulated in Section 5.1.
2.2 Proposition 1: Constitutive Closure Relations Unifying the Operational Roles of βTRT
In TRT, the dimensionless constant βTRT=0.05392055 is defined fundamentally as a single physical state ratio: the equilibrium normal-fluid mass fraction of the Plenum, \begin{equation} \chi_n \equiv \frac{\rho_{n,0}}{\rho_0} \equiv \beta_{\text{TRT}} = 0.05392055 \quad [\text{dimensionless: } 1] \tag{3} \end{equation} Proposition 1 (Two-Fluid Constitutive Closures): Under the standard two-fluid closure hypotheses of (i) unit relaxation quality factor Qn(ωτ0=1)=1 at the carrier relaxation resonance, (ii) centrifugal phase expulsion of the normal fluid into a peripheral annular vortex sheath, and (iii) Hall–Vinen cubic mutual friction at high strain rates τ0∣ω∣≳1, the equilibrium normal-fluid fraction χn=βTRT in Eq. (3) determines three secondary transport coefficients:
- Per-Radian Acoustic Energy & Single-Quantum Frequency Attenuation Rate (Γrad=βTRT): Consider a longitudinal wave mode u(ϕ)=u0eiϕ (ϕ=kr−ωt) coupled to the Plenum's relaxation resonance ωτ0=1. In the two-fluid mixture (1), the superfluid fraction ρs,0/ρ0=1−χn oscillates without viscous loss, whereas the normal-fluid fraction χn=ρn,0/ρ0 undergoes Debye/Stokes–Kirchhoff relaxation damping with unit loss tangent Qn−1(ωτ0=1)=1. Thus the fraction of classical wave energy E=21ρ0∣u∣2 dissipated per radian of phase advance (dϕ=1 rad) is: E1dϕdE=−ρ0ρn,0Qn−1ωτ0=1=−χn=−βTRT For a single coherent electromagnetic/acoustic wave packet (photon/phonon) of energy Eγ=ℏω propagating along a forward number-conserving ray (Nγ=E/(ℏω)=1, ℏ=const), adiabatic action transfer to the normal-fluid background satisfies EγdEγ=ℏωd(ℏω)=ωdω, yielding the exact per-radian frequency attenuation law used in Section 5.1: ω1dϕdω=Eγ1dϕdEγ=−βTRT[rad−1]
- Annular Vortex Boundary-Layer Thickness Ratio (δ∗/R — Exact vs. Leading-Order Linearization): In a cylindrical or toroidal vortex tube of outer cross-sectional radius R, centrifugal pressure expels the normal-fluid fraction χn=βTRT into a peripheral annular shear sheath of radial thickness δ∗ surrounding the inviscid superfluid core of radius R−δ∗. Equating the annular cross-sectional area fraction Asheath/Atotal to χn=βTRT yields the quadratic equation: AtotalAsheath=πR2πR2−π(R−δ∗)2=2(Rδ∗)−(Rδ∗)2=χn=βTRT Solving this quadratic exactly and comparing with its leading-order thin-sheath linearization (δ∗/R≪1) gives: (Rδ∗)exact=1−1−βTRT=0.0273339,(Rδ∗)lin=21βTRT=0.0269603 The quadratic truncation residual is (Rδ∗)exact−21βTRT=3.74×10−4 (O(βTRT2)), confirming that the linear thin-sheath closure δ∗/R≈21βTRT is accurate to 1.37% relative (0.037% absolute).
- Cubic Vorticity Mutual-Friction Coefficient (βTRTτ0): Under the Hall–Vinen mutual-friction closure for a two-fluid vortex core of vorticity ω [s−1], coupling between the normal-fluid fraction χn=βTRT and quantized vortex lines transfers rotational energy into longitudinal Kelvin/acoustic modes at a nonlinear rate proportional to χnτ0−1(τ0∣ω∣)2ω=βTRTτ0∣ω∣2ω [s−2]. Applying the solenoidal Leray–Helmholtz projector P yields the curl-compatible damping term −βTRTτ0P(∣ω∣2ω) analyzed in Section 6.1. ■

3. Dimensionless Coupling Constants & Characteristic Plenum Scales
Physical Picture: In engineering and fluid mechanics, dimensionless numbers (like the Reynolds or Mach number) describe how a fluid behaves regardless of scale, whereas dimensional scales (meters, seconds, kilograms) set the physical size of the system. In TRT, the fine-structure constant α−1≈137.036 measures how many electromagnetic wave cycles the Plenum sustains per natural logarithmic attenuation factor e≈2.718, giving the dimensionless Acoustic Susceptibility ART=α−1/e=50.412727. Once we anchor a single macroscopic carrier frequency f0=76.4496 MHz (corresponding to a fundamental standing wavelength of L0=3.92144 meters), every dimensional transport property of the vacuum—its relaxation time τ0, its kinematic viscosity ν0, and the minimum energy Ecav required to nucleate a cavitated vortex core—is fixed with exact SI units.
We maintain a strict separation between dimensionless coupling ratios (Section 3.1) and dimensional physical scales carrying SI units of length [L], time [T], mass [M], and kinematic viscosity [L2T−1] (Section 3.2).
3.1 The Two Strictly Dimensionless Coupling Invariants (ART and βTRT)
Using the CODATA 2022 inverse fine-structure constant α−1=4πε0ℏc0/ec2=137.035999177 and Euler's number e=2.71828182846, Postulate P2 defines the Universal Acoustic Susceptibility (ART) as the dimensionless ratio of electromagnetic coupling capacity to single-neper logarithmic attenuation: \begin{equation} A_{\text{RT}} \equiv \frac{\alpha^{-1}}{e} = \frac{137.035999177}{2.71828182846} = 50.412727 \quad [\text{dimensionless: } 1] \tag{4} \end{equation} Its reciprocal damped ratio defines the Acoustic Venting Coefficient (βTRT): \begin{equation} \beta_{\text{TRT}} \equiv \frac{e}{A_{\text{RT}}} = \frac{e^2}{\alpha^{-1}} = 0.05392055 \quad [\text{dimensionless: } 1] \tag{5} \end{equation} Both ART and βTRT are strictly dimensionless pure numbers everywhere in this work (never carrying degree, radian, or dimensional units).
3.2 Characteristic Dimensional Scales of the Plenum
To map ART and βTRT into SI dimensional units, Postulate P4 declares the macroscopic Plenum carrier frequency anchor at f0=7.64496×107 Hz (76.4496 MHz). Heuristic binary-octave scaling down from the Planck angular frequency ωP=c05/(ℏG)=1.85486×1043 s−1 across N0=117.5 octaves plus the hexagonal close-packed (θHCP=π/6=30∘) normal-fluid mass-loading shift ΔNvisc=βTRTcos(π/6)=0.046697 octaves gives: \begin{equation} f_{\text{oct}} = \frac{\omega_P / (1\text{ rad})}{2^{117.5 + \beta_{\text{TRT}}\cos(\pi/6)}} = 7.64239 \times 10^7\text{ Hz}, \qquad f_0 = 7.64496 \times 10^7\text{ Hz} \quad [\text{T}^{-1}] \tag{6} \end{equation} Because ωP∝G−1/2, the 2.2×10−5 experimental uncertainty in G propagates to δωP/ωP=21(δG/G)=1.1×10−5, whereas the 3.36×10−4 (0.034%) offset between foct and f0 corresponds to second-order normal-fluid dispersion (81βTRT2=3.63×10−4); accordingly, f0=7.64496×107 Hz is treated explicitly as a declared empirical dimensional anchor (Postulate P4). From f0=7.64496×107 Hz, c0=2.99792458×108 m s−1, and Planck's constant h=6.62607015×10−34 J s, the characteristic dimensional scales of the Quantum Plenum follow directly from two-fluid kinetic transport theory:
- Fundamental Carrier Wavelength (L0): The wavelength of a longitudinal carrier wave propagating at speed c0 with frequency f0 is: \begin{equation} L_0 \equiv \frac{c_0}{f_0} = \frac{2.99792458 \times 10^8\text{ m s}^{-1}}{7.64496 \times 10^7\text{ s}^{-1}} = 3.92144\text{ m} \quad [\text{L}] \tag{7} \end{equation}
- Characteristic Acoustic Relaxation Time (τ0): The single-cycle relaxation period of the carrier wave is: \begin{equation} \tau_0 \equiv \frac{1}{f_0} = \frac{L_0}{c_0} = 1.30805 \times 10^{-8}\text{ s} \quad [\text{T}] \tag{8} \end{equation}
- Plenum Kinematic Viscosity (ν0): By Chapman–Enskog and Landau–Khalatnikov kinetic transport theory, a compressible fluid with sound speed c0 and fundamental wave-packet mean free path L0 possesses bare acoustic diffusivity D0=c0L0. Dividing D0 by the dimensionless acoustic susceptibility quality factor ART defines the equilibrium kinematic viscosity of the Plenum: \begin{equation} \nu_0 \equiv \frac{D_0}{A_{\text{RT}}} = \frac{c_0 , L_0}{A_{\text{RT}}} = \frac{(2.99792458 \times 10^8\text{ m s}^{-1})(3.92144\text{ m})}{50.412727} = 2.33199 \times 10^7\text{ m}^2\text{ s}^{-1} \quad [\text{L}^2\text{T}^{-1}] \tag{9} \end{equation}
- Hydrodynamic Cavitation Energy Threshold (Ecav) and Mass Floor (μ0): A single carrier phonon carries quantum energy E1=hf0. Nucleating a persistent cavitated vortex core against the Plenum's acoustic susceptibility barrier ART requires the coherent superposition of ART carrier quanta within a single wavelength volume, defining the minimum cavitation energy Ecav and its Einstein–de Broglie mass floor μ0=Ecav/c02: \begin{equation} E_{\text{cav}} \equiv A_{\text{RT}} h f_0 = 2.55373 \times 10^{-24}\text{ J}, \qquad \mu_0 \equiv \frac{E_{\text{cav}}}{c_0^2} = \frac{A_{\text{RT}} h f_0}{c_0^2} = 2.84140 \times 10^{-41}\text{ kg} \tag{10} \end{equation}

4. Topological Soliton Particles & Constitutive Rest-Energy Ratio Formula
Physical Picture: Why is a proton 1836.15267 times heavier than an electron, and why do atomic nuclei destabilize when too many nucleons crowd into a shell? Picture an electron as a single, unknotted toroidal vortex ring (01) in the Plenum. A proton, by contrast, is modeled as the simplest self-locking 3D torus knot: the (2,3) Trefoil knot (31), which winds twice through its poloidal core (p=2) and three times around its toroidal perimeter (q=3). Those p×q=2×3=6 standing half-wave cells sweep across five cyclic degrees of freedom (Ωcell=[0,π]5⊂T5), giving a bare phase-space rest-energy ratio of 6π5=1836.118109. Because the knotted vortex core also couples to the 5.392% normal-fluid boundary sheath across its meridian dipole profile (π2βTRT=0.034327), its total rest-energy ratio rises to 1836.152436—matching the experimental proton-to-electron mass ratio to 0.13 parts per million. Furthermore, when nucleons pack together like spheres around a central core (as in Carbon-12, where 12 spheres surround 1), their normal-fluid boundary skins reduce the empty interstitial space from 25.95% to 19.80%≈20%. Twelve spheres fit around a central core with >60∘ (>1 radian) between centers, whereas forcing a 13th sphere onto the inner shell compresses neighbors closer than 1 radian (57.2958∘), causing adjacent acoustic wakes to interfere constructively and trigger nuclear fission.
4.1 Topological Duality & Declared Soliton Energy Functional on T5
Under Postulate P3 (Table 1), elementary fermions are modeled as phase-locked toroidal vortex solitons whose internal configuration space is the 5-dimensional flat torus T5=(S1)5, parameterized by five orthogonal cyclic phase coordinates ϑ=(ϑ1,ϑ2,ϑ3,ϑ4,ϑ5) representing: (1) toroidal azimuth ϑ1, (2) poloidal twist ϑ2, (3) radial core acoustic standing-wave phase ϑ3, (4) superfluid condensate phase ϑ4, and (5) normal-fluid shear phase ϑ5:
- The Electron (Unknotted Reference Soliton 01, (pe,qe)=(1,1)): Defines the unit point-core reference state (Ve≡1) with quantized superfluid circulation Γe=h/me, canonical reference rest energy Ee=mec02, and uniform phase-space energy density E0≡Ee per unit T5 measure.
- The Proton (Knotted Trefoil Torus Soliton 31, (p,q)=(2,3)): Modeled as the minimal non-trivial torus knot—the (p,q)=(2,3) Trefoil knot (31) [3, 6], which winds p=2 times poloidally and q=3 times toroidally (forming 3 azimuthal scattering lobes).
- Explicit Derivation of Nodal Cell Multiplicity (Ncells=pq=6): On the 2-torus carrier surface [0,π]pol×[0,π]tor, a (p,q) standing-wave soliton eigenmode ψp,q(ϑ1,ϑ2)=sin(pϑ1)sin(qϑ2) vanishes along the nodal grid ϑ1=kπ/p (k=0,…,p) and ϑ2=ℓπ/q (ℓ=0,…,q). This nodal grid partitions the fundamental domain into exactly p×q non-overlapping half-wave phase cells Ωk,ℓ. For the (p,q)=(2,3) Trefoil soliton (which equivalently possesses minimal knot crossing number C(31)=3 and 2C(31)=6 bilateral superfluid/normal-fluid sheath crossings): \begin{equation} N_{\text{cells}}(2, 3) = p \cdot q = 2 , C(3_1) = 2 \times 3 = 6 \tag{11} \end{equation}
4.2 Commensurable Rest-Energy Ratios for the Proton-to-Electron Mass Ratio (μTRT=mp/me)
By Einstein–de Broglie relativistic hydrodynamics (m=Erest/c02), the dimensionless proton-to-electron mass ratio μTRT≡mp/me is defined strictly as a sum of commensurable dimensionless rest-energy ratios ([J/J]=1) relative to Ee=mec02: \begin{equation} \mu_{\text{TRT}} \equiv \frac{m_p}{m_e} = \frac{E_{\text{rest}}(2, 3)}{E_e} = \frac{E_{\text{geom}}(2, 3)}{E_e} + \frac{E_{\text{visc}}(\beta_{\text{TRT}})}{E_e} = M_{\text{geom}}(2, 3) + \Delta M_{\text{visc}}(\beta_{\text{TRT}}) \tag{12} \end{equation}
- Bare 5-Torus Phase-Space Rest-Energy Ratio (Mgeom=Egeom/Ee=6π5): Under Postulate P3, each of the proton's Ncells=pq=6 locked half-wave soliton cells occupies the half-period hypercube Ωcell=[0,π]5⊂T5 equipped with the canonical flat measure d5ϑ=dϑ1dϑ2dϑ3dϑ4dϑ5 and uniform phase-locked energy density E0=Ee. Integrating the bare soliton rest energy Egeom(2,3) over all Ncells=6 cells and dividing by the reference rest energy Ee yields the exact dimensionless energy ratio: \begin{equation} M_{\text{geom}}(2, 3) \equiv \frac{E_{\text{geom}}(2, 3)}{E_e} = \frac{1}{E_e} \sum_{j=1}^{N_{\text{cells}}} \int_{[0,\pi]^5} \mathcal{E}0 , d^5\vartheta = p , q \prod{k=1}^{5} \left(\int_0^\pi d\vartheta_k\right) = (2 \times 3) \cdot \pi^5 = 6\pi^5 = 1836.118109 \tag{13} \end{equation}
- Normal-Fluid Meridian Boundary-Layer Rest-Energy Ratio (ΔMvisc=Evisc/Ee=π2βTRT): In an inviscid fluid (χn=βTRT=0), Eq. (13) gives 6π5=1836.118109, leaving a residual of 0.034564 below experiment. To evaluate the normal-fluid boundary-layer rest energy Evisc(βTRT) in units directly commensurable with Ee, consider the meridian polar angle θ∈[0,π] of the toroidal vortex core. Relative to the unattenuated core meridian energy density e0≡Ee/π [J rad−1] (normalized such that ∫0πe0dθ=Ee), the peripheral normal-fluid mass fraction χn=ρn,0/ρ0=βTRT couples under Postulate P3 to the fundamental poloidal half-wave dipole projection sinθ across θ∈[0,π], storing differential boundary-layer rest energy dEvisc(θ)=χne0sinθdθ. Integrating dEvisc(θ) over θ∈[0,π] and dividing by the reference rest energy Ee=∫0πe0dθ yields the exact dimensionless rest-energy increment: \begin{equation} \Delta M_{\text{visc}}(\beta_{\text{TRT}}) \equiv \frac{E_{\text{visc}}(\beta_{\text{TRT}})}{E_e} = \frac{\int_0^\pi \chi_n e_0 \sin\theta,d\theta}{\int_0^\pi e_0 , d\theta} = \frac{\beta_{\text{TRT}}}{\pi}\int_0^\pi \sin\theta,d\theta = \frac{2}{\pi}\beta_{\text{TRT}} = \frac{2}{\pi}(0.05392055) = 0.0343269 \tag{14} \end{equation}
Summing the two dimensionless rest-energy ratios (13) and (14) yields the constitutive TRT mass-ratio formula: \begin{equation} \mu_{\text{TRT}} = \frac{E_{\text{geom}} + E_{\text{visc}}}{E_e} = 6\pi^5 + \frac{2}{\pi}\beta_{\text{TRT}} = 1836.118109 + 0.034327 = 1836.152436 \tag{15} \end{equation} Precision Calibration vs. CODATA 2022: Comparing μTRT=1836.152436 to the CODATA 2022 experimental value μexp=1836.15267343(11) gives an absolute residual of ∣μTRT−μexp∣=2.37×10−4, or a relative approximation accuracy of 0.13 ppm (99.999987%). Because this 0.13 ppm residual exceeds the 6×10−11 CODATA experimental uncertainty, Eq. (15) is classified in Table 4 as a leading-order constitutive soliton benchmark (prior to O(βTRT3) toroidal aspect-ratio curvature corrections) rather than an exact identity.
4.3 Secondary Bjerknes Nuclear Binding, Void Fraction (ϵeff) & The 1-Radian (57.2958∘) Limit
In a compressible fluid of density ρ0, two spherical solitons pulsating in phase at angular frequency ω0 with volume amplitudes V˙1,V˙2 experience an attractive secondary Bjerknes acoustic radiation force:
\begin{equation}
\mathbf{F}_{\text{Bj}}(r) = -\frac{\rho_0 \langle \dot{V}_1 \dot{V}2 \rangle}{4\pi r^2} \exp!\left(-\frac{r}{\lambda{\text{screen}}}\right)\hat{\mathbf{r}} \tag{16}
\end{equation}
At contact, 12 equal spheres packed around a central sphere of radius R form the Carbon-12 12-around-1 close-packed cluster:
- Effective Interstitial Void Fraction (ϵeff — Both Linearized and Exact Sheath Roots): By Kepler–Hales close-packing, bare rigid spheres of radius R have maximum FCC/HCP packing density ϕFCC=32π=0.740480 (bare void fraction 1−ϕFCC=0.259520). Including the normal-fluid boundary-layer sheath derived in Proposition 1 expands the effective hydrodynamic exclusion radius to Reff=R(1+δ∗/R), yielding the Effective Interstitial Void Fraction for both the leading-order linear closure (δ∗/R=21βTRT=0.026960) and the exact quadratic root (δ∗/R=1−1−βTRT=0.027334): \begin{equation} \epsilon_{\text{eff}}^{\text{(lin)}} = 1 - \phi_{\text{FCC}}\left(1 + \frac{1}{2}\beta_{\text{TRT}}\right)^3 = 0.19800 \approx 0.200, \qquad \epsilon_{\text{eff}}^{\text{(exact)}} = 1 - \phi_{\text{FCC}}\left(2 - \sqrt{1 - \beta_{\text{TRT}}}\right)^3 = 0.19712 \approx 0.200 \tag{17} \end{equation} Both roots agree to within 8.8×10−4 (0.4% relative), establishing an effective interstitial void fraction of ≈20%.
- Physical Derivation of the 1-Radian (57.2958∘) Acoustic Shear Stability Criterion: On a spherical coordination shell of radius R, two neighboring nucleon centers subtending central angle θ are separated by the spherical surface arc length s(θ)=Rθ, while the fundamental radial standing wave of the central core has characteristic wavelength λrad=R. By the Helmholtz–Rayleigh acoustic interference criterion, two neighboring solitons maintain independent attractive Bjerknes pressure wells if and only if their surface arc separation s(θ) is at least one radial standing wavelength λrad=R: s(θ)=Rθ≥λrad=R⟺θ≥1 radian=π180∘=57.2958∘ When θ<1 rad, adjacent surface acoustic wakes overlap within a single radial wavelength (s(θ)<R), creating a constructive near-field shear-pressure spike that ruptures the Bjerknes potential well. For N=12 outer spheres on a spherical shell, both the equal-radius FCC kissing angle θFCC(12)=60.0000∘ (π/3 rad) and the unconstrained icosahedral Tammes vertex maximum θTammes(12)=arccos(1/5)=63.4349∘ strictly satisfy θ≥1 rad (57.2958∘). Forcing a 13th sphere onto the inner shell reduces the Tammes upper bound to θTammes(13)=57.1367∘<1 rad (57.2958∘), violating s(θ)≥R and inducing cavitation fission.
4.4 Bernoulli Derivation of the Hydrodynamic Cavitation Mass Floor
To derive the cavitation mass-floor step function from the Euler–Bernoulli pressure law, consider a localized rotational wave packet of kinetic energy Ek [J] confined within a fundamental wavelength core volume Vcore in the Plenum of ambient hydrostatic pressure P0≡Ecav/Vcore. By the steady compressible Bernoulli theorem, the rotational kinetic energy density induces a core pressure drop ΔPcore=P0−Pcore=Ek/Vcore. A hollow phase-locked vortex core nucleates (cavitates) if and only if the core absolute pressure drops to the vacuum vapor floor (Pcore≤0⟺ΔPcore≥P0), which yields the exact Cavitation Nucleation Condition Ek≥P0Vcore=Ecav=ARThf0:
- For Ek<Ecav (Pcore>0), the perturbation cannot nucleate a cavitated boundary wall and disperses as massless longitudinal acoustic radiation (m=0).
- For Ek≥Ecav (Pcore≤0), cavitation locks in a topological boundary wall whose minimum threshold rest energy Emin=Ecav corresponds by m=E/c02 to the invariant mass floor μ0=Ecav/c02=2.84140×10−41 kg:
\begin{equation} m(E_k) = \mu_0 \cdot \Theta!\left(\frac{P_0 - P_{\text{core}}}{P_0} - 1\right) = \mu_0 \cdot \Theta!\left(\frac{E_k}{E_{\text{cav}}} - 1\right) = \left(\frac{A_{\text{RT}} h f_0}{c_0^2}\right) \Theta!\left(\frac{E_k}{A_{\text{RT}} h f_0} - 1\right) \tag{18} \end{equation} Every factor in Eq. (18) is dimensionally homogeneous ([Ek/(ARThf0)]=J/J=1 and [μ0]=kg). (Scope Qualification: Eq. (18) formulates a classical hydrodynamic cavitation mass-floor mechanism in the two-fluid Plenum rather than a constructive quantum field theory proof for pure SU(N) Yang–Mills gauge fields on R4.)
5. Cosmological Wave-Attenuation Model & Resolution of the Hubble Tension
Physical Picture: Why do measurements of the early universe (via the Cosmic Microwave Background) infer a baseline expansion rate of Hearly=67.40 km s−1Mpc−1, while local supernova telescopes (SH0ES) measure Hlate=73.04 km s−1Mpc−1? In an empty vacuum, photon redshift can only arise from metric expansion, so an +8.4% jump in apparent redshift requires invoking a late-time "dark energy" acceleration. In the two-fluid Plenum, a 1D line-of-sight acoustic waveguide extending from the observer (r=0, pressure antinode δP′(0)=0) to the causal horizon (r=RH, pressure node δP(RH)=0) supports the exact fundamental cosine standing mode δP(r)=δP0cos(k1r) whose first zero occurs at k1RH=π/2 radians (90∘ quarter-wave cavity). Across that π/2 rad horizon phase, the 5.392% normal-fluid component contributes an integrated acoustic attenuation susceptibility ηTRT=2πβTRT=+0.0847 (+8.47%). When local distance-ladder surveys measure the total redshift slope dzobs/ddL, they observe the sum of baseline expansion and horizon-coupled acoustic attenuation: 67.40×(1+0.084698)=73.11 km s−1Mpc−1—matching the SH0ES measurement to 0.07σ without dark energy.
5.1 Exact Quarter-Wave Horizon Eigenmode (k1RH=π/2) and the +8.47% Hubble Estimator Shift
We now derive the mathematical link between normal-fluid acoustic damping βTRT and the fractional discrepancy between early-universe CMB inferences (Hearly=67.40±0.50 km s−1Mpc−1 [8]) and local distance-ladder measurements (Hlate=73.04±1.04 km s−1Mpc−1 [9]).
- Exact 1D Line-of-Sight Helmholtz Boundary-Value Problem (k1RH=π/2): Along a 1D line-of-sight acoustic waveguide ray r∈[0,RH] connecting the observer at r=0 to the causal Hubble horizon at r=RH=c0/Hearly=4,447.96 Mpc, longitudinal pressure perturbations δP(r) obey the 1D Helmholtz equation: dr2d2δP(r)+k2δP(r)=0,r∈[0,RH] subject to mixed Neumann–Dirichlet quarter-wave resonator boundary conditions: (i) Observer pressure antinode: drdδPr=0=0,(ii) Causal horizon pressure node: δP(RH)=0 The unique general solution of δP′′(r)+k2δP(r)=0 satisfying the Neumann condition δP′(0)=−kδP0sin(0)=0 is the exact cosine eigenfunction: δP(r)=δP0cos(kr) Imposing the Dirichlet horizon condition δP(RH)=δP0cos(kRH)=0 yields the exact eigenvalue spectrum knRH=(n−21)π for n=1,2,3,…, whose fundamental mode (n=1) has its exact first root at k1RH=π/2: k1RH=2π⟹ϕ(r)≡k1r=2πRHr∈[0,2π],Δϕ=ϕ(RH)−ϕ(0)=2π rad (Equivalently, in 3D spherical coordinates where r21drd(r2drdψ)+k2ψ=0, the canonical radial displacement potential u(r)≡rψ(r) satisfies u′′(r)+k2u(r)=0 with origin regularity u(0)=0, giving u(r)=u0sin(kr); imposing the open-horizon Neumann condition u′(RH)=ku0cos(kRH)=0 likewise yields the exact fundamental eigenvalue k1RH=π/2.)
- Horizon Attenuation Susceptibility and Damped Photon Frequency ODE: By Proposition 1 (Section 2.2), normal-fluid relaxation damping extracts fractional wave energy βTRT per radian of cavity phase dϕ=k1dr. Integrating over the quarter-wave causal horizon ϕ∈[0,π/2] defines the Horizon Acoustic Attenuation Bias (ηTRT) and the corresponding spatial attenuation rate γcav≡ηTRT/RH: \begin{equation} \eta_{\text{TRT}} \equiv \int_0^{\pi/2} \beta_{\text{TRT}},d\phi = k_1 R_H \beta_{\text{TRT}} = \frac{\pi}{2},\beta_{\text{TRT}} = \frac{\pi}{2}\left(0.05392055\right) = +0.084698 ; (+8.47%) \tag{19} \end{equation} Along a comoving photon path r∈[0,dL] in an expanding background of true metric rate Hearly=c0/RH coupled to the cavity spatial attenuation rate γcav=RHηTRT=c0Hearly(2πβTRT), the photon angular frequency ω(r) obeys the first-order differential equation: ω1drdω=−c0Hearly−γcav=−c0Hearly(1+2πβTRT),ω(0)=ωemit Integrating from r=0 to luminosity distance r=dL gives 1+zobs(dL)≡ω(dL)ωemit=exp[c0HearlydL(1+2πβTRT)].
- Exact Evaluation of the Local Distance-Ladder Estimator (Hlate, TRT>Hearly): Whereas early-universe CMB analysis [8] infers the background expansion rate Hearly=67.40 km s−1Mpc−1 from baryon-photon acoustic peaks at z∗≈1090, local Type Ia supernova surveys (SH0ES [9]) define the late-universe Hubble estimator from the low-redshift linear slope Hlate≡c0ddLdzobsdL→0. Differentiating zobs(dL) at dL=0 yields the strictly positive estimator shift: \begin{equation} H_{\text{late, TRT}} \equiv c_0 \left.\frac{dz_{\text{obs}}}{dd_L}\right|{d_L \to 0} = H{\text{early}} \left(1 + \frac{\pi}{2}\beta_{\text{TRT}}\right) = 67.40 \times 1.084698 = 73.11\text{ km s}^{-1}\text{Mpc}^{-1} \tag{20} \end{equation} This predicted value (73.11 km s−1Mpc−1) agrees with the SH0ES measurement (73.04±1.04 km s−1Mpc−1 [9]) to within 0.07σ (0.10% relative error) without dark energy (Λ) or any modification to present-epoch local c0.
5.2 Cymatic Shell Quantization and the Geometric-Mean BAO Scale (λBAO=152.53 Mpc)
To eliminate any ad-hoc Hubble baseline in evaluating the Baryon Acoustic Oscillation (BAO) scale, we define the effective two-fluid cavity Hubble rate Hˉcav directly from the two endpoints derived in Section 5.1 (Hearly=67.40 and Hlate, TRT=73.11 km s−1Mpc−1) as their exact geometric mean (corresponding to the half-attenuated midpoint phase ϕmid=π/4 of the quarter-wave cavity): Hˉcav≡HearlyHlate, TRT=Hearly1+2πβTRT=67.40×1.084698=70.196 km s−1Mpc−1 which defines the effective cavity length Lcav≡c0/Hˉcav=4,270.77 Mpc. Under Postulate P5, standing pressure waves inside Lcav are quantized by the spherical harmonic shell closure numbers Nshell∈{2,8,20,28,50,82,126}, where the 5th shell closure (N5=50) corresponds to the integer floor of ART=50.4127 and the 4th spherical shell closure (N4=28) defines the primary baryonic nodal wavelength: \begin{equation} \lambda_{\text{BAO}} \equiv \frac{L_{\text{cav}}}{N_4} = \frac{c_0}{N_4 H_{\text{early}}\sqrt{1 + \frac{\pi}{2}\beta_{\text{TRT}}}} = \frac{4,270.77\text{ Mpc}}{28} = 152.53\text{ Mpc} \tag{21} \end{equation} (Evaluated at the unattenuated early-universe endpoint RH=c0/Hearly=4,447.96 Mpc and attenuated late-universe endpoint Llate=c0/Hlate, TRT=4,100.64 Mpc, the N4=28 harmonic spans [146.45,158.86] Mpc with exact geometric mean 152.53 Mpc, matching the empirical BAO comoving sound horizon rd≈147–153 Mpc.)
5.3 Dimensionally Consistent Solar Tachocline Torque Balance & Calibrated 8-Planet Summation
Over an 11.0-year Schwabe magnetic cycle (Tcyc=4,017.75 d), solar differential rotation between the equatorial tachocline (Peq=24.471 d) and polar regions (Ppole=34.00 d) accumulates a total torsional wind-up angle ΔΦSun: \begin{equation} \Delta\Phi_{\text{Sun}} = 360^\circ \times T_{\text{cyc}}\left(\frac{1}{P_{\text{eq}}} - \frac{1}{P_{\text{pole}}}\right) = 360^\circ \times 46.00\text{ laps} = 16,560.0^\circ ; (289.027\text{ rad}) \tag{22} \end{equation} To keep ART=50.412727 strictly dimensionless everywhere while ensuring complete arithmetic reproducibility from the text alone, let Φ0≡1∘=180π rad denote the dimensional unit phase angle so that ARTΦ0=50.412727∘=0.879868 rad defines the characteristic torsional phase scale per Earth mass M⊕=5.972×1024 kg. Using the calibrated planetary orbital-impedance phase absorptions Φp,i=ARTΦ0(Mi/M⊕)wi, where wi=(a⊕/ai)1/2ηsyn,i is the product of each planet's Keplerian lever arm (a⊕/ai)1/2 and its empirical synodic lap coupling coefficient ηsyn,i with the solar tachocline (explicitly listed below as calibrated solar-system inputs):
- Jupiter (MJ=317.83M⊕, aJ=5.2044 AU, (a⊕/aJ)1/2=0.43835, ηsyn,J=1.7003⟹wJ=0.74532): Φp,Jup=50.412727∘×317.83×0.74532=11,942.0∘ (75.34% of planetary total)
- Saturn (MS=95.159M⊕, aS=9.5826 AU, (a⊕/aS)1/2=0.32304, ηsyn,S=1.7191⟹wS=0.55534): Φp,Sat=50.412727∘×95.159×0.55534=2,664.0∘ (16.81%)
- Neptune (MN=17.147M⊕, aN=30.070 AU, (a⊕/aN)1/2=0.18236, ηsyn,N=3.9200⟹wN=0.71485): Φp,Nep=50.412727∘×17.147×0.71485=618.0∘ (3.90%)
- Uranus (MU=14.536M⊕, aU=19.218 AU, (a⊕/aU)1/2=0.22811, ηsyn,U=3.1347⟹wU=0.71506): Φp,Ura=50.412727∘×14.536×0.71506=524.0∘ (3.31%)
- Inner Terrestrial Group (∑Minner=1.989M⊕, (a⊕/aeff)1/2=1.0000, ηsyn,in=1.0173⟹win=1.0173): Φp,inner=50.412727∘×1.989×1.0173=102.0∘ (0.64%)
Summing all 8 planetary contributions gives the exact total Φp=11,942.0∘+2,664.0∘+618.0∘+524.0∘+102.0∘=15,850.0∘ (276.635 rad), leaving an uncompensated torsional phase residual ΔΦ=ΔΦSun−Φp=16,560.0∘−15,850.0∘=710.0∘ (12.3918 rad). Balancing ΔΦ at the outer Oort standing-wave boundary across the ±2πβTRT impedance band yields the consistency estimate: \begin{equation} M_{\text{Oort}} = M_\oplus \left(\frac{\Delta\Phi}{A_{\text{RT}},\Phi_0}\right)\left(1 \pm \frac{\pi}{2}\beta_{\text{TRT}}\right) = M_\oplus \left(\frac{710.0^\circ}{50.412727 \times 1^\circ}\right)(1 \pm 0.0847) = 14.08 \pm 1.19,M_\oplus \tag{23} \end{equation} In Eq. (23), the angular units cancel explicitly (deg/deg=rad/rad=1), keeping ART strictly dimensionless and yielding an outer Oort anchor mass consistency range of 12.89 to 15.27M⊕ (classified in Table 4 as a calibrated solar-system consistency model rather than an ab initio prediction).
6. Curl-Compatible Regularized Vorticity PDE, A Priori L2 Enstrophy Bound & Orbital Falsifiability
Physical Picture: In classic fluid mechanics (the unmodified Navier–Stokes equations), a 3D fluid lacks an intrinsic upper bound on spin: in principle, vortex stretching can amplify vorticity (ω) toward infinity at a single point ("finite-time blowup"). In the two-fluid Quantum Plenum, however, a vortex core spinning near the medium's relaxation frequency f0=τ0−1 experiences Hall–Vinen mutual friction against the 5.392% normal-fluid component, venting excess rotational energy into longitudinal sound waves. Mathematically, this acts like a solenoidal cubic pressure-relief valve (−βTRTτ0P(∣ω∣2ω)): because the cubic valve dissipation (∣ω∣4) grows faster than quadratic vortex stretching (∣ω∣2∥∇u∥L2), global L2 enstrophy cannot blow up in finite time for smooth solutions. In the solar system, this same two-fluid medium produces two mechanical signatures: (1) a sunward spacecraft ram-impedance deceleration spanning [8.124,8.812]×10−10 m s−2 (midpoint aˉplenum=(8.47±0.34)×10−10 m s−2), which NASA's solar-powered Europa Clipper will test prospectively in 2028–2030, and (2) an Earth–Moon waveguide recession ceiling of 3.9214 cm yr−1 reduced by 2.696% boundary-layer slip (−0.1057 cm yr−1) to yield a net lunar recession rate of 3.816 cm yr−1.
6.1 Solenoidal Leray–Helmholtz Regularized 3D Vorticity Equation
In classical 3D incompressible fluid mechanics (∇⋅u=0), the vorticity ω=∇×u [s−1] satisfies ∇⋅ω=0 and evolves via ∂tω+(u⋅∇)ω=(ω⋅∇)u+ν0∇2ω. As formulated in Proposition 1, when local vorticity approaches τ0−1=f0, two-fluid mutual friction sheds rotational energy into acoustic waves at rate βTRTτ0∣ω∣2ω. Because the raw vector field ∣ω∣2ω is not generally divergence-free, we apply the Leray–Helmholtz orthogonal solenoidal projector P (PF≡F−∇Δ−1(∇⋅F), satisfying ∇⋅(PF)=0 identically), yielding the Curl-Compatible TRT-Regularized 3D Vorticity Equation: \begin{equation} \frac{\partial \boldsymbol{\omega}}{\partial t} + (\mathbf{u} \cdot \nabla) \boldsymbol{\omega} = (\boldsymbol{\omega} \cdot \nabla) \mathbf{u} + \nu_0 \nabla^2 \boldsymbol{\omega} - \beta_{\text{TRT}},\tau_0 , \mathbb{P}!\left(|\boldsymbol{\omega}|^2 \boldsymbol{\omega}\right), \qquad \mathbf{u} = \nabla \times (-\Delta)^{-1}\boldsymbol{\omega} \tag{24} \end{equation} Verification of Curl Compatibility and SI Dimensions:
- Preservation of ∇⋅ω=0: Because (u⋅∇)ω−(ω⋅∇)u=∇×(ω×u) is an exact curl and ∇⋅P(∣ω∣2ω)=0 identically, taking the divergence of Eq. (24) gives ∂t(∇⋅ω)=ν0∇2(∇⋅ω). Thus ∇⋅ω0=0⟹∇⋅ω(⋅,t)=0 for all t≥0 (corresponding at the velocity level to the momentum damping force −βTRTτ0∇×(−Δ)−1∇×(∣ω∣2ω)).
- Dimensional Homogeneity: Since [βTRT]=1, [τ0]=s, [P]=1, and [∣ω∣2ω]=s−3, the damping term has exact SI units of [s⋅s−3]=[s−2], matching ∂tω.
6.2 Theorem 1: A Priori Global L2 Enstrophy Bound for Smooth Solutions of the TRT-Regularized System
(Scope Qualification: The Clay Mathematics Institute Millennium Problem concerns the unmodified continuum Navier–Stokes system with βTRT=0. Theorem 1 establishes a rigorous a priori global L2 enstrophy bound and Lt4Lx4 vorticity spacetime integrability for smooth solutions of the physically regularized TRT vorticity system (24) with βTRTτ0>0 on R3 and the periodic 3-torus T3.)
Theorem 1 (A Priori Enstrophy Boundedness on R3 and T3): Let Ω be either the whole space R3 (with rapid decay at infinity) or the periodic 3-torus T3=[0,L]3 (of finite volume V=L3<∞), and let ω0∈L2(Ω) with ∇⋅ω0=0. For any smooth solution ω(⋅,t) of Eq. (24) on [0,T] with ν0>0 and βTRTτ0>0: (a) On both Ω=R3 and Ω=T3, the enstrophy ∥ω(t)∥L2(Ω)2 satisfies the finite-horizon Grönwall a priori bound: \begin{equation} |\boldsymbol{\omega}(t)|{L^2(\Omega)}^2 + \int_0^t \left(2\nu_0 |\nabla\boldsymbol{\omega}(s)|{L^2(\Omega)}^2 + \beta_{\text{TRT}}\tau_0 |\boldsymbol{\omega}(s)|{L^4(\Omega)}^4\right) ds \le |\boldsymbol{\omega}0|{L^2(\Omega)}^2 \exp!\left(\frac{t}{\beta{\text{TRT}}\tau_0}\right) < \infty \quad \forall t \in [0, T] \tag{25} \end{equation} (b) Moreover, on the periodic 3-torus Ω=T3=[0,L]3 of finite volume V=L3<∞, the enstrophy is uniformly bounded for all t≥0 by the time-independent absorbing ball: \begin{equation} |\boldsymbol{\omega}(t)|{L^2(\mathbb{T}^3)}^2 \le \max!\left(|\boldsymbol{\omega}0|{L^2(\mathbb{T}^3)}^2, ; \frac{V}{\beta{\text{TRT}}^2 \tau_0^2}\right) < \infty \quad \forall t \ge 0 \tag{26} \end{equation}
Proof: Step 1 (Exact Enstrophy Identity & Orthogonal Projector Self-Adjointness): Taking the L2(Ω) inner product of Eq. (24) with ω on Ω∈{R3,T3}, all integration-by-parts boundary terms vanish identically by periodicity on T3 or decay on R3. In particular, the advection term vanishes by incompressibility (∫Ωω⋅(u⋅∇)ωd3x=−21∫Ω(∇⋅u)∣ω∣2d3x=0), and the viscous term integrates by parts to −ν0∥∇ω∥L2(Ω)2. Because P is an orthogonal projection in L2(Ω) and ω is divergence-free (Pω=ω), self-adjointness gives ∫Ωω⋅P(∣ω∣2ω)d3x=∫Ω(Pω)⋅(∣ω∣2ω)d3x=∫Ω∣ω∣4d3x=∥ω∥L4(Ω)4. Thus: \begin{equation} \frac{1}{2}\frac{d}{dt}|\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^2(\Omega)}^2 + \nu_0 |\nabla \boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^2(\Omega)}^2 + \beta_{\text{TRT}}\tau_0 |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^4(\Omega)}^4 = \int\Omega \boldsymbol{\omega} \cdot (\boldsymbol{\omega} \cdot \nabla)\mathbf{u},d^3x \tag{27} \end{equation}
Step 2 (Exact Degree-3 L4×L4×L2 Hölder Estimate & Plancherel Identity): By Hölder's inequality with exponents (p,q,r)=(4,4,2) satisfying 41+41+21=1, we bound the vortex-stretching integral by: \begin{equation} \left|\int_\Omega \boldsymbol{\omega} \cdot (\boldsymbol{\omega} \cdot \nabla)\mathbf{u},d^3x\right| \le \int_\Omega |\boldsymbol{\omega}| , |\boldsymbol{\omega}| , |\nabla \mathbf{u}|,d^3x \le |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^4(\Omega)} , |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^4(\Omega)} , |\nabla \mathbf{u}|{L^2(\Omega)} = |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^4(\Omega)}^2 , |\nabla \mathbf{u}|{L^2(\Omega)} \tag{28} \end{equation} For any divergence-free velocity field u (∇⋅u=0) with ω=∇×u on Ω∈{R3,T3} (where boundary surface integrals vanish identically), integration by parts / Plancherel's identity gives the exact equality ∥∇u∥L2(Ω)2=∥∇×u∥L2(Ω)2+∥∇⋅u∥L2(Ω)2=∥ω∥L2(Ω)2, so ∥∇u∥L2(Ω)=∥ω∥L2(Ω) with exact constant 1. Substituting this into Eq. (28) yields the scaling-homogeneous degree-3 bound: \begin{equation} \left|\int\Omega \boldsymbol{\omega} \cdot (\boldsymbol{\omega} \cdot \nabla)\mathbf{u},d^3x\right| \le |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^4(\Omega)}^2 , |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^2(\Omega)} \tag{29} \end{equation}
Step 3 (Elementary Quadratic Young Inequality & Absorption): Applying the elementary quadratic Young inequality ab≤2ϵa2+2ϵ1b2 with a=∥ω∥L4(Ω)2, b=∥ω∥L2(Ω), and ϵ=βTRTτ0>0 gives: \begin{equation} |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^4(\Omega)}^2 , |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^2(\Omega)} \le \frac{\beta_{\text{TRT}}\tau_0}{2}|\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^4(\Omega)}^4 + \frac{1}{2\beta{\text{TRT}}\tau_0}|\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^2(\Omega)}^2 \tag{30} \end{equation} Substituting Eq. (30) into Eq. (27), subtracting 2βTRTτ0∥ω∥L44 from both sides, and multiplying by 2 yields the linear differential inequality: \begin{equation} \frac{d}{dt}|\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^2(\Omega)}^2 + 2\nu_0 |\nabla\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^2(\Omega)}^2 + \beta{\text{TRT}}\tau_0 |\boldsymbol{\omega}|{L^4(\Omega)}^4 \le \frac{1}{\beta{\text{TRT}}\tau_0}|\boldsymbol{\omega}|_{L^2(\Omega)}^2 \tag{31} \end{equation} Integrating Eq. (31) via Grönwall's lemma immediately establishes Part (a) (Eq. 25) on both R3 and T3, ruling out finite-time enstrophy blowup at any t<∞.
Step 4 (Logistic Riccati Absorbing Ball on the Periodic 3-Torus T3): On the periodic 3-torus Ω=T3=[0,L]3 of finite volume V=L3<∞, Cauchy–Schwarz on 1⋅∣ω∣2 gives ∥ω∥L2(T3)2≤V1/2∥ω∥L4(T3)2, hence −∥ω∥L4(T3)4≤−V1∥ω∥L2(T3)4. Substituting this into Eq. (31) and dropping the non-negative viscous term 2ν0∥∇ω∥L2(T3)2≥0, the enstrophy Y(t)≡∥ω(t)∥L2(T3)2 obeys the logistic Riccati differential inequality: \begin{equation} \frac{dY}{dt} \le \frac{1}{\beta_{\text{TRT}}\tau_0} Y - \frac{\beta_{\text{TRT}}\tau_0}{V} Y^2 = \frac{\beta_{\text{TRT}}\tau_0}{V} Y \left(\frac{V}{\beta_{\text{TRT}}^2\tau_0^2} - Y\right) \tag{32} \end{equation} Because the damping term −VβTRTτ0Y2 is quadratic in Y while the growth term +βTRTτ01Y is strictly linear in Y, dtdY<0 whenever Y(t)>βTRT2τ02V. By the standard ODE comparison principle, Y(t)≤max(Y(0),βTRT2τ02V) for all t≥0, establishing Part (b) (Eq. 26). ■
6.3 Spacecraft Impedance Force Model, Europa Clipper Error Budget & Lunar Recession Decomposition
- Constitutive Spacecraft Ram-Impedance Force Law & Exact Midpoint/Half-Width Band: A spacecraft of mass msc moving radially outward at hyperbolic velocity v=vrr^ (vr≪c0) through the expanding Hubble-Plenum background experiences a cosmological acoustic impedance force Fplenum=mscaplenum. Under the constitutive waveguide closure declared in Postulate P5, during one full carrier wave cycle (Δϕcyc=2π rad) the dimensionless cycle impedance is Zcyc=2π+βTRT=6.33711, while projecting the bulk susceptibility ART across the two orthogonal half-wave toroidal cross-sections (π×π=π2) of a 3D dipole wake defines the reduced cross-sectional susceptibility Aeff=ART/π2=5.10788. Multiplying the baseline Hubble expansion acceleration −c0Hearlyr^ (c0Hearly=6.5483×10−10 m s−2) by the ratio Zcyc/Aeff defines the inner-heliospheric uncompressed baseline deceleration amin: \begin{equation} \mathbf{a}{\text{plenum}}^{(0)} = -c_0 H{\text{early}} \left(\frac{2\pi + \beta_{\text{TRT}}}{A_{\text{RT}} / \pi^2}\right) \hat{\mathbf{r}} = -\left(6.5483 \times 10^{-10}\text{ m s}^{-2}\right)\left(\frac{6.33711}{5.10788}\right)\hat{\mathbf{r}} = -8.124 \times 10^{-10}\text{ m s}^{-2},\hat{\mathbf{r}} \tag{33} \end{equation} In the outer heliospheric waveguide regime, inclusion of the quarter-wave horizon compression factor (1+2πβTRT)=1.0847 defines the outer-heliospheric compressed ceiling amax≡amin(1+2πβTRT)=8.812×10−10 m s−2. Across the radial transition regime [amin,amax]=[8.124,8.812]×10−10 m s−2, the exact midpoint aˉplenum=21(amin+amax) and model half-width Δaband=21(amax−amin) are: aˉplenum=amin(1+4πβTRT)=8.468×10−10 m s−2≈8.47×10−10 m s−2,Δaband=±0.344×10−10 m s−2 yielding the exact theoretical model band (8.47±0.34)×10−10 m s−2 (and when combined linearly with the ±0.65×10−10 m s−2 3σ spacecraft systematic floor from Table 3, a total observational acceptance interval of (8.47±0.99)×10−10 m s−2, consistent with the historical Pioneer 10/11 residual of (8.74±1.33)×10−10 m s−2 [10]).
- Europa Clipper 2028–2030 Navigation Systematics & Doppler Error Budget: Turyshev et al. (2012) [10] showed that on Pioneer 10/11, anisotropic thermal radiation recoil from four nuclear SNAP-19 RTGs could account for ∼8×10−10 m s−2 of sunward acceleration. NASA's Europa Clipper (outer cruise 4.0 AU≤r≤5.2 AU, 2028–2030) eliminates RTG thermal recoil completely by carrying zero RTGs and using symmetric 100 m2 solar wings. Table 3 documents the quantitative non-gravitational acceleration error budget during quiet outer-cruise X/Ka-band Doppler tracking windows, demonstrating a combined 3σ systematic uncertainty floor of σ3σ=0.65×10−10 m s−2—more than an order of magnitude below the predicted TRT signal (aˉplenum=8.47×10−10 m s−2).

- Reconciled Secular Lunar Recession Law (r˙net=3.816 cm yr−1 Total Rate vs. LLR 3.82±0.07 cm yr−1): In the TRT Earth–Moon waveguide model (Postulate P5), the bimodal 2N5=100 harmonic of the carrier wavelength L0=3.92144 m over the terrestrial orbital period τyr=3.15576×107 s defines the unattenuated inviscid waveguide expansion ceiling r˙0: \begin{equation} \dot{r}0 \equiv \frac{L_0}{2 N_5 , \tau{\text{yr}}} = \frac{3.92144\text{ m}}{100\text{ yr}} = 3.9214\text{ cm yr}^{-1} \quad \left[\text{SI: } 1.2426 \times 10^{-9}\text{ m s}^{-1}\right] \tag{34} \end{equation} Rather than acting as an additive perturbation on top of classical tidal dissipation, this waveguide model represents the complete secular recession budget: normal-fluid and oceanic boundary-layer slip (δ∗/R=21βTRT=0.026960, Proposition 1) acts as a retarding phase-slip drag −Δr˙slip=−21βTRTr˙0=−0.1057 cm yr−1 against the waveguide expansion ceiling r˙0. Subtracting this boundary-layer slip yields the predicted total net present-epoch lunar recession rate: \begin{equation} \dot{r}_{\text{net}} = \dot{r}0\left(1 - \frac{1}{2}\beta{\text{TRT}}\right) = 3.92144\text{ cm yr}^{-1} \times \left(1 - 0.026960\right) = 3.8157\text{ cm yr}^{-1} \approx 3.816\text{ cm yr}^{-1} \tag{35} \end{equation} Eq. (35) matches the total Lunar Laser Ranging (LLR) measured recession rate (r˙obs=3.82±0.07 cm yr−1) to within 0.06σ (0.11%) without any sign contradiction. Integrating r˙net=3.816 cm yr−1 linearly backward over 4.50×109 yr gives Δr=171,707 km, placing lunar formation at r0=384,400−171,707=212,693 km—safely outside Earth's Roche limit (9,500 km).
7. Hydrostatic Realization of Newton's Gravitational Law
Physical Picture: In a compressible fluid, what we experience as "gravity" is modeled as a hydrostatic pressure-depletion gradient rather than curvature of an empty void. Because a baryonic mass distribution ρM(x) continuously cycles and condenses acoustic wave energy at its core boundaries, it acts as a steady hydrostatic pressure sink in the Plenum, creating a radial pressure depression P(r)=P0−rρ0GM below the ambient far-field pressure P0. Because pressure increases outward from the low-pressure mass toward P0, the radial pressure derivative is strictly positive (drdP=+r2ρ0GM>0). Any test body sitting in that outward-increasing pressure field experiences an inward Euler hydrostatic buoyancy acceleration g=−ρ01∇P=−r2GMr^ directed toward the low-pressure mass center.
Under Postulate P6 (Table 1), a stationary baryonic mass density distribution ρM(x) [kg m−3] of total mass M=∫R3ρM(x)d3x immersed in the uniform background Plenum of density ρ0 and far-field hydrostatic pressure P∞≡P0 sources a steady acoustic radiation-pressure depletion governed by the linearized Poisson hydrostatic equation: \begin{equation} \nabla^2 P(\mathbf{x}) = 4\pi G \rho_0 , \rho_M(\mathbf{x}), \qquad \lim_{|\mathbf{x}|\to\infty} P(\mathbf{x}) = P_0 \tag{36} \end{equation} Outside a spherically symmetric mass M concentrated within r≤Rcore, applying Gauss's divergence theorem ∮∂Br∇P⋅dA=4πr2drdP=4πGρ0M for r>Rcore yields the exact outward-increasing radial pressure gradient and static pressure profile: \begin{equation} \frac{dP(r)}{dr} = +\frac{\rho_0 G M}{r^2} > 0, \qquad P(r) = P_0 - \int_r^\infty \frac{\rho_0 G M}{{r'}^2},dr' = P_0 - \frac{\rho_0 G M}{r} \implies \Delta P(r) \equiv P(r) - P_0 = -\frac{\rho_0 G M}{r} < 0 \tag{37} \end{equation} Substituting the outward-positive pressure gradient ∇P(x)=drdPr^=+r2ρ0GMr^ into the Euler hydrostatic buoyancy acceleration g(x)≡−ρ01∇P(x) acting on a test parcel yields Newton's inverse-square law of universal gravitation with strictly inward (attractive) sign: \begin{equation} \mathbf{g}(\mathbf{x}) \equiv -\frac{1}{\rho_0}\nabla P(\mathbf{x}) = -\frac{1}{\rho_0}\left(+\frac{\rho_0 G M}{r^2}\hat{\mathbf{r}}\right) = -\frac{G M}{r^2}\hat{\mathbf{r}} \quad \left[\text{SI: } \frac{1}{\text{kg m}^{-3}}\frac{\text{N m}^{-2}}{\text{m}} = \text{m s}^{-2}\right] \tag{38} \end{equation} (Corollary — Bernoulli Free-Fall Speed as a Derived Consequence: For a test parcel accelerating quasi-statically from rest at r→∞ (P=P0,v=0) along the pressure profile (37) under Bernoulli's energy integral P(r)+21ρ0v2(r)=P0, solving for v(r) yields 21ρ0v2(r)=P0−P(r)=+rρ0GM⟹v(r)=2GM/r, satisfying vdrdv=21drd(v2)=−r2GM=−ρ01drdP consistently.)

Areas to Improve:
- •Resolve the E_e normalization inconsistency between Postulate P3 (where E_e is a per-unit-T^5 energy density whose integral over [0,pi]^5 for the electron's (1,1) soliton would yield pi^5*E_e) and Eqs.
- •Derive, rather than assert, the extension of Proposition 1's resonance-specific attenuation closure (valid only at omega*tau_0=1) to the path-independent cosmological photon redshift law used in Eq. (19)-(20) to obtain the Hubble-tension resolution; also justify the identification of photon propagation phase with the static cavity phase k_1*r.
- •Provide a dynamical derivation (from the two-fluid momentum/transport equations) of the impedance ratio Z_cyc/A_eff = (2π+β_TRT)/(A_RT/π²) in Eq. (33), since this single unmotivated ratio fixes the entire Europa Clipper falsification band — currently the paper's only out-of-sample prospective test.
- •Clarify the reconciliation between Section 7's static hydrostatic pressure-depletion field (requiring nonzero ∇P in steady state) and Section 2.1's Euler equation (ρ∂_tu = -∇P with no body force or barotropic closure shown to support a stationary nonzero gradient).
- •Address the secondary concerns flagged across specialists: the carrier frequency f_0 anchor's unexplained 0.034% octave-scaling residual, the empirically fitted planetary synodic coupling coefficients (η_syn,i) in Section 5.3 that yield suspiciously round degree values, and the dimensional tension around Φ_0=1° in Eq. (23) given the claim that A_RT is 'strictly dimensionless... never carrying degree, radian, or dimensional units.'
- •Provide a broader cosmological cross-check (supernova distance-redshift relation, CMB anisotropies, structure growth, lensing) beyond matching two single Hubble-constant point estimates, as the science specialist noted this is necessary to establish genuine consistency with ΛCDM-era observables.
Strengths:
- •Theorem 1's Leray-Helmholtz regularized vorticity enstrophy bound (Eqs. 24-32) is independently verified by all math specialists as a correct, fully reproducible a priori L2 estimate for smooth solutions on R^3 and T^3, with properly executed Hölder, Young, and Grönwall/Riccati steps.
- •Exceptional methodological transparency via the Master Classification Ledger (Table 4), which explicitly separates declared postulates (Category A), retrodictive benchmarks (Category B), calibrated consistency models (Category C), and the single prospective falsification test (Category D).
- •The Europa Clipper 2028-2030 Doppler test is a genuinely quantitative, near-term, falsifiable prediction with an itemized non-gravitational error budget (Table 3) and explicit falsification threshold (<2.0e-10 m/s^2), rare among speculative frameworks.
- •The quarter-wave Neumann-Dirichlet Helmholtz resonator derivation (Section 5.1) and the Poisson-to-Newtonian-gravity derivation (Section 7, Eqs. 36-38) are both correctly solved under their stated boundary conditions and postulates.
- •The document is well structured with consistent notation, dimensional bookkeeping separated from dimensionless invariants (Table 2), and accessible 'Physical Picture' framing before each formal section.
Detailed score explanations
Areas to Improve:
- •Resolve the P3 electron normalization conflict: Postulate P3 declares Electron=(1,1) as an instance of the same soliton functional used for the proton, but Section 4.1/Eq.(12)-(15) substitute a different 'unit reference energy E_e' instead of evaluating the stated functional at (1,1) (which independently verified by four reviewers gives pi^5*E_e + (2/pi)*beta_TRT*E_e, not E_e). This must be reconciled or the mass-ratio derivation re-stated as using two distinct, separately justified normalization rules.
- •Derive, rather than assert, the broadband transfer of the per-radian attenuation coefficient from Proposition 1's carrier-resonance condition (omega*tau_0=1) to the horizon cavity phase used in Eq. (19)-(20); without this bridge, the +8.47% Hubble shift, the BAO scale (Eq. 21), and the Europa Clipper prediction (Eq. 33) inherit an unproven step.
- •Clarify whether omega in 'omega*tau_0=1' is angular or ordinary frequency — as stated, 2*pi*f_0*(1/f_0)=2*pi, not 1, under the paper's own Eq. (8) definition of tau_0.
- •Add a zero-mean or curl-range hypothesis to Theorem 1 on T^3, since the stated velocity reconstruction u=curl(-Delta)^-1(omega) is undefined/fails to recover the original field on nonzero-mean (harmonic) Fourier modes that divergence-free L2 data can include.
- •Provide independent derivations (or cite external sourcing) for the calibrated synodic coupling coefficients eta_syn,i in Section 5.3 and the heuristic octave-scaling bridge for f_0 in Eq. (6); these are currently labeled as declared/calibrated inputs but function as load-bearing anchors for downstream dimensional scales.
- •Recalibrate the abstract and introduction to avoid presenting heavily parameter-tuned retrodictions (mass ratio, Hubble shift, BAO scale, lunar recession) as independent 'predictions' before the epistemic caveats in Table 4 are reached — several specialists flagged this as a clarity/claim-calibration issue.
- •Develop a fully auditable Europa Clipper navigation-analysis protocol (tracking cadence/geometry, solar-radiation-pressure covariance, thermal/maneuver filtering, ephemeris treatment, pre-specified statistical decision rule) as a linked supporting paper to substantiate the Table 3 error budget.
Strengths:
- •Exemplary methodological transparency: six postulates (P1-P6) explicitly declared in Table 1, and every quantitative claim classified by epistemic status (constitutive input, retrodiction, calibrated model, prospective test) in the Master Classification Ledger (Table 4).
- •A genuinely pre-registered, falsifiable, near-term experimental test: the 2028-2030 Europa Clipper outer-cruise Doppler measurement with a quantitative error budget (Table 3) and explicit falsification threshold (<2.0×10^-10 m/s²).
- •The quarter-wave Neumann-Dirichlet Helmholtz eigenvalue derivation (k_1*R_H = pi/2, Section 5.1) is mathematically correct and clearly presented.
- •The hydrostatic Poisson-law recovery of Newton's inverse-square gravity (Eqs. 36-38) is sign-consistent, dimensionally homogeneous, and includes a consistent Bernoulli free-fall corollary.
- •Theorem 1's core enstrophy-bound proof machinery (energy identity, Hölder (4,4,2) estimate, Plancherel equality, Young absorption, Grönwall/Riccati comparison, Eqs. 27-32) is independently verified as mathematically sound by all four math specialists.
- •Original synthesis of established lineages (Tisza-Landau two-fluid superfluidity, Skyrme/Faddeev-Niemi torus-knot solitons, acoustic analogue gravity) into a single falsifiable framework, properly cited to primary literature.
